it may seem like a cowardly decision from his part, using louis and the others as a distraction to run away doesn't sound like what a good person would have done and kurono certainly wasn't, he didn't really know them in the first place and it wasn't his fault they were at that location at that particular moment.

the only thought he had at that instant was to run away and he did just that, using the battle suit to its maximum ability he dashed in the other way heading straight toward keven and the others.

they had a hard time coming here as they didn't know how the controller functions, but after trying and failing for multiple times they finally grasped how it works.

sadly it led them right toward the forest where kurono had killed two aliens and was now facing fifty, oblivious to this fact they kept approaching him, all was present without exeption, everyone was wearing a skin tight suit exept three of them an old man a man and his girlfriend .

they were cautiously walking looking left and right showing signs of nervousness and fear yet they remained silent.

"what is that?" hearing jessica speak everyone jumped in surprise before sighing in relief, following the direction she was pointing at they could see a man running with inhuman speed heading toward them it didn't take long before he reached them and even then he kept on escaping not looking back.

"isn't that kurono? "nora spoke in delight before she started calling for his name.

"if you don't start running you'll die" without stopping he spoke loudly toward Nora and the others

the aliens were taken by surprise before they finally gave chase after kurono, having over fifty giant creatures chase after him his heart began beating furiously, not only him the others also frantically escaped, though they can't be blamed as seeing a bunch of crazy ape monsters appoaching even the toughest man will turn fearful.

the aliens momentum increased with their numbers as they run destroying everything in their way be it trees or rocks turning them into dust, so you could start guessing what will actually happen to the soft flesh of the human being standing on their way.

not everyone was wearing the suit and not everyone wearing the suit knew how to use it, only louis and jessica did, the former already knew how to activate it and the latter did that by sheer luck, both of them were on the lead running right behind kurono, however the others weren't as fast.

"h_help" tripping over a tree branch the woman newly summoned by gantz screamed at the same time extending her hand trying to reach for her man, yet he didn't respond he kept running away leaving her in complete despair.

turning her head and glancing back her whole body began to tremble, her once beautiful face turned ugly from tears and snot, the aliens were right behind them and she was going to be the first to die, she regretted listening to those strangers wearing funny looking clothes telling her to come with them and how it will be safe, she regretted accepting to go with her boyfriend to that b.l.o.o.d.y island where they both met their ends, she even started regretting the day she met him.

her body got mashed after being stepped on by hundreds of giant legs, no one and not even louis had the thought to go back and save her, they didn't have the luxury to care about someone else's life.

it didn't take long before the man and old man were overtaken the both of them got tossed around before they died, surprisingly two monsters stopped to swallow them before they continued their chase, having eating a human filled with blood their ablitiy activated as their skin turned from white to blood red.

the two got a huge boost in speed, strength and defence , with one push of its legs one of the two leaped at the humans, it covered a distance of 20 meters in a second catching two humans wearing skin tight black suits with its giant hands opening its mouth it slowly brought them near its sharp teeth.

"noooooo"keven screamed as he stopped, turning around he run hurriedly to save his relatives, the fear for their safety conflicting with the fear for his own pushed his emotions to the extreme, shockingly he succeeded in activating the suit's ability and with one large leap he reached the monster in a second he entered its mouth as he broke through its flesh with sheer force exiting from its neck.

he and his relatives dropped to the ground, they didn't have the chance to be overjoyed before the monsters catched up to them, they were surrounded and exhausted, they withstood a couple of hits before a strange liquid started to flow out of their suits, a red ape came running toward them like a train and with an explosive force hit them with its leg, they flew high in the air and by time they reached the ground they were already dead.

"aaaaaaah" turning back and seeing the gory sight nora screamed and fell on her knees throwing up, Jessica didn't hesitate as she quickly reached her, picking the latter up on her back she focused on escaping.

it was a ma.s.sacre, everyone died , kurono, louis, jessica and nora were the only ones who survived, the fact that they easily survived the last mission had made them overconfident, having seen kurono fight they thought that it would be easy once they grasped how to activate the suit and how to handle the weapons, they were wrong.

they kept on running until they were out of the forest, reaching the city the four entered one of the tall buildings.

the aliens swarmed the city as they crashed into cars, houses and buildings anything on their way was destroyed as they kept searching for their preys, people walking randomly on the street became frightned as a few were injured and others died.

jessica hugged the sobbing nora trying to calm her down, she wasn't doing a good job since she herself needed to calm down, they were crouching down trying to hide while looking from behind the transparent gla.s.s at the monsters who were destroying the city and killing people.

"t_this is our fault" nora spoke with a sad tone.

"they all died, keven an.. "she couldn't continue speaking before she started sobbing again.

louis clenched his teeth as he hit the wall hard almost cracking it, jessica bit her lips as she started remembering how the others got picked up one by one , then she remembered why they chased them in the first place, she looked surprised before she headed toward kurono slapping him on the face.

kurono was absentmindedly thinking when he felt wind coming from his left side he didn't react as a slap landed on his left cheek.

"you, it was all because of you the others died how dare you!"she looked so angry and sad as tears started flowing out on her cheeks, raising her hand she intended to hit him again only to have her hand constricted by him.

"heh don't play the innocent one here, why did you choose to come there? isn't that to find aliens? you made your own choice" he yelled at her before he proceeded to gaze at the aliens a plan forming on his head.
