Soon the two reached the fog and Zaro noticed Sevilus fade away in front of him and it wasn't long before he noticed his surroundings change. When he teleported inside the dimension, he saw a clear blue sky and a sun radiating from above and when he looked around he found himself inside a forest with other animals.
To his amazement, he saw some of the wolves from the Azar Clan speaking with one another and in the middle of them, all was Koh! Happiness filled his heart and he approached the small pack of wolves which was much fierce than the last time he saw them.
However, when he approached them all of the wolves stood on guard and began growling at him which seemed odd. After looking at them confused for a while he then noticed that he was twice as big as them and his appearance was much different than when the last time they saw him.
"You all dare growl at me? You too Koh?! Where's Kia?" Zaro asked while looking around them and soon they all stopped growling and looked at him in awe.
"Brother Zaro?!" Koh gasped in amazement.
"Finally you recognized me! How have you all been?" Zaro smiled he was happy at the fact that he could speak to someone he knew and felt much less lonely.
"Great! But Kia... had decided to become a lone wolf and follow in your footsteps..." Koh answered and dropped his head in sadness, just like the others.
"Perhaps she is here with us?"
"No... she consumed all of the cores we left for you plus more and reached her evolution... when she realized how strong she became, she went out to look for you and never returned," one of the wolves said apologetically.
"I'm sure she is within the dimension just not with us, do not worry you will reunite someday but for now we need to find out what we can do in here," Zaro said and started sniffing the air.
"The creature that stayed behind to delay the monster told us to head here and told us that there are many opportunities we can come across here..." Koh said which made Zaro think for a minute... what could it be that had the power to delay it? Ignoring the thought, Zaro told them to follow him and was surprised to see them form into a position around him.
The pack kept moving and looking from side to side while Zaro's eyes were fixed at a mountain sticking out over the forest canopy. He guided the pack through the forest and after an hour of traveling they arrived at the foot of the mountain and noticed a path leading upwards.
"Woah! What is this place?!" the wolves were completely stunned and observed the mountain from below until Zaro urged them to follow the path upwards. Oddly enough, there were other creatures heading up but Zaro told them not to attack as they shouldn't take advantage of others misery as they all came from the same home.
Nodding there heads they continued to follow Zaro up the mountain while even pa.s.sing some boars and deer that stopped to take a break. After half a day, the pack was exhausted except for Zaro which marched up the mountain until finally, they reached some flat land a quarter way up the mountain.
In this flat s.p.a.ce, there was a stone sculpture of a tree that was so amazing that it made Zaro stare in awe of the piece. On the tree there was a gla.s.s...o...b..and a tile, the pack watched as a creature stepped on the tile causing the orb to light up and change color to green and a voice rung in everyone's heads saying, "Element; Earth, Type; Plant, Affinity; Common."
The voice startled everyone but what amazed everyone is that the creature had suddenly disappeared into thin air! Then the voice called out again, "Step on the tile to advance to the next stage."
One by one the wolves stepped on the tile, they all had a common affinity and each one of them had the plant element except for Koh which had a common affinity with air. Finally, it was Zaro's turn, and when he stood on the tile the voice rang in his head, "Element; Darkness, Type; Heavenly, Affinity; Superior." This amazed Zaro as it was extremely different from the rest and soon he was teleported into the next stage.
In this stage, the creatures were walking around inspecting a stone statue in front of them trying to understand what they had to do next. The statue was shaped like a bear paw and had a symbol in the middle that looked like something similar to a clenched fist.
Suddenly, one of the boars charged at the statue with its head and the symbol of the first lit up and the voice called out once again, "For this stage, you must attack the symbol with all of your strength and you will then proceed to the next stage."
With that, the boar rammed the symbol again but this time with more strength and the voice had called out once more, "Strength Level; Zero," a light s.h.i.+ned out of the statue and scanned the boar's body before speaking again, "Potential Strength; Ruby; II, Teleporting to Stage Three".
This test excited Zaro as he could finally get to see how strong he can get! The boar seemed slightly disappointed and then was teleported onward. Similarly, the creatures were being sent to the next stage one by one and the wolf pack stayed until everyone had left but them.
The highest level of strength was two and the same stag had the highest potential strength of 'Emerald III'. When the wolves went through they all got to level two in strength and they ranged from 'Ruby IV' to 'Amber III'.
Of course, Zaro approached the statue last, he channeled essence into his muscles and his claws until he couldn't take anymore and launched a deadly attack at the symbol. He was getting extremely excited and the voice finally rang in his head, "Strength Level; Six," the light came out and scanned his body three times! "Potential Strength; Unknown... Teleporting to Stage Five."
"What the?! Stage Five!?" Zaro was alarmed, he teleported so far ahead of the other wolves and he didn't even get to say goodbye!
