1728 It's Not Working
Klaus looked at the departing figure of the young lady who entered the water, he couldn't help but pause for a minute, seeing everyone else enter, he had no choice but to enter. It's not that he was afraid of the water, it's just that he didn't trust these people much. Underwater, they moved down. Each individual covered their bodies with their essence to ensure none of them got wet. They swam below the island and soon found an opening, but to get to the opening, there was an underwater vortex they had to pa.s.s through. Seeing the vortex, Klaus froze, the aura he got from the vortex scared the s.h.i.+t out of him. He tried to use his mental senses to check it out, and the second his mental senses got close, it was ripped to shreds. His expression changed but quickly returned to normal, but it was noticed by Suzanne and the two Elders with her, along with Faction Leader Beatrice and some Elders from the Faction.
"Strong right?" Faction Leader Beatrice who was beside him asked. Klaus nodded, he looked at the vortex with a glint of fear in his eyes. Luckily, he was only trying to sneakily probe, so he used only about three percent of his mental senses. If he had used more, he might've been in serious trouble. Suzanne and the two Elders quickly did some hand seals and the vortex started to die down. However, as the vortex died down, two walls made of water appeared beside them.
Klaus studied the wall and noticed it was made from the same vortex he saw. He couldn't help but be impressed with their defenses. If anyone who couldn't get past the vortex tried to wait by the side to launch a sneak attack, they'll be stopped by this seeming path within a vortex. They soon entered the opening to the underground cave, after a while, they arrived at a large Hall in the underground cave devoid of water. A portal could be seen rotating. The group didn't waste any time and entered the portal. Klaus felt a cold chill, his eyes were closed as they pa.s.sed through the portal, opening them, he was greeted by a white world. With snow falling from the sky, everything he laid his eyes on was fully enveloped by the snow. The Moonlight Faction was mostly like this, but that was just for the Faction grounds and not for anything outside the Faction Walls. Before him, he was staring at a world, a world covered with snow. Not just that, but the quality of the essence he felt here shook him. Given his current speed, if he were to stay here for a month or two, the benefit will be ma.s.sive, he couldn't help but want to rethink his opinion of not wanting to come train here. But when he recalled that he would most likely not be able to come out until whenever their training expedition was over, he was caught in a dilemma. Before long, a glint of excitement flashed through Klaus' eyes. He just sensed something, a treasure, and he could tell that it was quite powerful. But when he looked at the two Elders beside Suzanne, he couldn't help but give up the idea of trying to get it. They were both Half G.o.d Plane Elementalists.
He had been here for only a few seconds, yet he had been blown away. Of course, he didn't show any reactions on his face, keeping the same expression as before. Suzanne and the two Elders lead them into the place. The place they appeared in was a mountain top. The world was very similar to the Pyro World with mountains and buildings, the difference was that this one is covered by snow. The group descended the mountain down to the valley. All the trees in this mountain were covered in snow. Klaus saw a few Magical Beasts, and he could sense that they were mostly of the water or ice attribute. When they were at the foot of the mountain, they started to see buildings. By the foot of the mountain, a plaque was hung there, and the words Crescent Moon were boldly written there. The group walked straight to the floating island in the middle of the valley. They stood on an ice floor, before being slowly flown to the island which was above them. Klaus looked at the entire place, he couldn't deny the fact that he was a bit impressed. He had been told on the way by the Faction Leader that there was an essence vein here which was the cause of the huge difference in quality of the essence here than in the Aurora Continent. He had read about essence veins, so he knew about them. He didn't expect that these guys also had the aid of essence veins. Looking at the current cultivation stage of Suzanne, he felt like if he had been here over the past three years, he was certain he would've entered the Half G.o.d Plane by now. The reason he didn't think he would've done that if he were born here was due to the fact that given his original elemental grade, the chances of getting to his current stage would've been nearly impossible. The only reason he's cultivating this fast is purely all thanks to Grey who first gave him the treasure he used to first improve his elemental grade. He still hasn't been able to properly grasp why his elemental grade continued to improve. For some reason he was confident that it was because of Grey. They got to the floating island, and Klaus was welcomed by a large wall and gate, the words Crescent Moon were written in it. Staring at it, it was as if he was about to be frozen on the spot. His body emitted a bluish hue, and he quickly regained himself. Suzanne and the others looked at him, seeing his reaction, they couldn't help but show a surprised expression. The words written on the wall were very powerful, and they knew that anyone who stares at it for too long the first time is always frozen for a few seconds. Seeing that Klaus wasn't frozen when the Faction Leader Beatrice and the Elders were, they couldn't help but be shocked. The Faction Leader and the Elders from the Moonlight Faction were informed of this, but they were also informed that it wasn't dangerous, hence the reason they wanted to try it out and see what it's about. Since they would be doing it, it's only natural they informed the youths, a few of them decided to try it, and Klaus was one of them. Klaus was the only one in the group who wasn't frozen on the spot. Only those who didn't stare at the words for too long weren't frozen. Seeing the others getting frozen, some of the youths were about to panic when they saw them defrosting. They couldn't help but take a quick glance at the words. Klaus wore a strange expression on his face as he looked at the words, "It's not working."
Suzanne and the two Elders felt their lips twitch.
'What do you mean it's not working? You're clearly pus.h.i.+ng it away?!'
