Beast God 49 Powerful Survivors

Ben was woken up by Ava softly nudging him with her beak.

'Master it is time we move. It is dangerous to stay here any longer.' she said.

Ben sat up and rubbed his eyes, "How long have I been out?" he asked.

"Four hours. Ava and I have been watching the city." James answered him.

"How does it look?" Ben asked.

James shrugged his shoulders, "Their numbers stayed roughly the same but we managed to take down most of their elites. The leader is still alive, Ava and I spotted him. We also rescued a few humans." James said as he gestured behind Ben.

Ben turned around in shock, 'They were able to save someone?'

Standing a few meters away from him were four people, three men and one woman.

Two of the men looked very similar, Ben swore they were twins. They both had black hair with brown eyes and a sharp upturned nose. The only difference between them was one had a scar on his cheek.

"We're Alex and Adam." the scarred one spoke.

Ben nodded to him and turned to the last guy.

"Chuck." Chuck said curtly, not wasting his words. He looked to be middle aged with grey hair starting on the sides of his head. He face was covered in a brown stubble that look to be nicely trim. How he managed that was beyond Ben.

Ben nodded again and looked towards the last person and only female. Her face was covered in light scarves and she had a ball cap pulled down low. She worn loose pants and s.h.i.+rt that hid her figure. The only thing Ben could see were her green eyes that screamed hostility.

Seeing how she wasn't going to introduce herself, Ben didn't push.

"I'm Bennett but call me Ben." Ben introduced himself. "First off I would like to offer refuge at my city, south of here."

"Without knowing our cla.s.s or strength?" Alex said, suspicion in his eyes.

"You have survived this long which means you are strong." A mysterious smile appeared on Ben's face. "As for your cla.s.s… I already know them." Ben's eyes glowed gold as he spoke.

Lola immediately summoned her weapons, two curved daggers, and attacked Ben.

When Lola was centimeters away, a wall of black flames appeared before Ben. Lola backed off quickly and stared at Ava.

"Touch him human and it will be the last thing you do." Ava's voice rang through everyone's mind.

"It's okay Ava." Ben rea.s.sured her.

Ava didn't say anything and just stared daggers at Lola.

"Sorry about that, I should have explained. My eyes allow me to see your levels and cla.s.ses. Ava is my soul beast so she doesn't take kindly to people threatening me." Ben explained.

The three men nodded while Lola's eyes narrowed.

Ben sighed, not trying to understand why this woman was so offended. "Do you know where they are any other survivors in the city?" Ben got to his main point.

The twins face saddened as they shook their heads. Clearly something had happened to them. Chuck simply shook his head, his face remained neutral.

Lola looked at Ben cautiously and said, "Are you really going to try and save them?" She had a hard time believing that a someone would risk their life for a stranger.

"If I have time, yes." Ben simply said. He was no saint but he believed he should help the people he could.

"Once Takon is healed, he and Ava will take you four back to the city. James and I need to look around a bit more. Once they drop you off, Ava and Takon will return and take us back." Ben explained.

James nodded solemnly, ready to prove himself.

"We're not leaving." Adam said.

"Why not?" Ben asked, confused.

"We all owe those zombie b.a.s.t.a.r.ds. They captured our friends and family and turned then into zombies." Adam said, his voice shook with rage.

"We all have some scores to settle with these zombies." Chuck said coldly.

Lola gave a small nod, indicating her position.

Ben smiled, 'These are the kind of people I need for my army. Battle hardened veterans.'

"Okay fine but I will need to know more about your battle styles so we can for a plan." Ben said.

The twins went first.

"We are swordsman but our style depends on us working together. Together we are very powerful but apart we are mediocre at best." Adam explained.

'That explains the 'Twin Swordsman' cla.s.s they have.' Ben thought.

"I am able to teleport 5 times to anywhere within my vision. I also have a s.p.a.ce attack that acts like a blade." Chuck said with a straight face.

'Incredible cla.s.s. So powerful.' Ben drooled over the abilities Chuck had.

Everyone eyes turned to Lola. Not bothered by the attention she simply said, "I'm fast." An arc of blue lightning flashed across her body.

"What about you two?" Alex asked, curious about Ben and James.

"I'm a simple Ranger." James answered.

"I make contract with beasts and they help me fight." Ben answered simply, he then gave Lola a sly look and said, "I am also fast." Ben replicated the same thing as her as an arc of lightning flashed.

Lola simply looked away at Ben's teasing, not responding.

"So what's the situation?" Ben asked looking at Ava.

'The zombies are located in the same area but they are on guard now. A sneak attack will be difficult as they are expecting it. The leader is surrounded by more mutated zombies then last time.' Ava reported to Ben.

Ben sank deep into thought, thinking on how they should approach the zombies.

"Ambush. It's the only way." Ben said out loud.

It was late afternoon when everything was ready. Ben and Lola headed towards the center of the city again, going to attract the zombies.

Ben had leveled up from the previous battle and distributed his points.

Ben's Sword Mastery skill had increased, causing Ben to feel jubilee.

Seeing the guards, Ben motioned for Lola to stop.

"Remember the plan. We attack them but retreat as soon as their numbers are too much. Don't be a hero." Ben said sternly to Lola.

She nodded, not showing any emotions.

"Okay, let's go!" Ben said.

They both ran straight for the zombie, alerting him of their presence. Letting out a strangled cry, the zombie charged them. Ben quickly decapitated it and continued forward. The dead zombie's cry alerted the others and soon they swarmed the area.

Lola and Ben slaughtered their way through the zombies. Ben watched Lola and was impressed with her skill.

Her attacks were precise and not wasted movement could be seen. Lightning sparked off her daggers as she buried it deep inside the brain of a zombie.

After a minute of slaughter, the mutated zombies finally came. Ben killed one and then yelled at Lola to retreat. She quickly followed him as they ran along a narrow street.

Ben looked back and saw that an army of zombies were following them but he didn't see the leader.

They pa.s.sed an intersection, two huge buildings were on both sides as they continued to run down the narrow street.

Suddenly Ben and Lola stopped and turned around.

'Now Ava and Takon!' Ben yelled.

Ava jumped down from the top of the building and breathed her black flame onto the street, separating half the zombies from the other half. Takon covered the street behind the second group, causing them to be boxed in.

Alex, Adam and Chuck all emerged from the building with their weapons draw, a bloodthirsty expression on their faces.

They would attack the first group while Takon and Ava would destroy the others. This plan came to Ben after remembering Napoleon's history, divide and conquer.
