To save or not to save. Qi Le Ren was still hesitating when Doctor Lu rushed up, squatted beside the girl, and asked, "What happened to you? Where does it feel uncomfortable?"

"My stomach hurts…it seems…" The girls' face lacked color, "I… …I want an abortion."

The two men were stunned on the spot, Qi Le Ren cursed in his heart, s.h.i.+t1!  In front of everyone on the bus, this girl roared at her boyfriend saying she'll abort the fetus and send it to him, half of her words will soon come true.

But this is really unfortunate, is there anything more traumatic than having an abortion in a haunted hospital? Oh, encountering a killer could probably count as one…

"You…you want an abortion? If you want, I can give you an injection to help you." Doctor Lu conscientiously inquired about the patient's wish.

The girl had already looked as if she'd gone insane. "My a.s.s! Hurry up! There's a ghost, it's a baby ghost!"

"… …" Sister, can you not say such ominous words? Qi Le Ren's face held derision.

"Come help! Help her lie down!" Doctor Lu called out to Qi Le Ren, giving him work to do.

Qi Le Ren went over, and with Doctor Lu on the left and him on the right, they worked together to carry her to the abortion room.

"There's a ghost in here…" The girl moaned, but her expression was calm, "I just came out from here."

"Ghost?" Doctor Lu was somewhat restless, he looked all around the place.

"Look at the blood flowing from my bottom, how terrible." The girl was in pain so her words weren't clear. "f.u.c.k, it really hurts…"

"…I-I'll help you find a sanitary napkin2." Doctor Lu rapidly went to fetch something, neatly organized the abortion room, and then he quickly handed her sanitary napkins along with a disposable underwear.

Qi Le Ren poured her a gla.s.s of water and supported her while she drank.

"Thanks. I'm Xue Ying Ying. What's your name, handsome?" The girl was high on laughing gas, her shaking hands began to tear at the sanitary napkin.

"Qi Le Ren." Qi Le Ren didn't face her. This scene was somewhat awkward, it was impolite to stare3.

"We'll wait for you outside, just call out when you're good." Doctor Lu apparently couldn't bear to witness this particular scene of a "dog couple4", where the atmosphere even smelled of the desire to hook up, and pulled on Qi Le Ren to stand guard outside.7

"The structure of this abortion clinic is very complex." Qi Le Ren stated.

"It is. The first time, everyone felt a little ambiguous about it. The doctors' pa.s.sageway and patients' pa.s.sageway were completely different, and the dirt route was on the other side. There was a large room set up of four cubicles: the lounge, the operating room, the office, and the nurses' station. The doctor's office and the nurse's station were sandwiched between the locker rooms, it was easy to go around." Doctor Lu added a menacing detail, "It's very fitting for pursuing and attacking during a fight."

"…Can we not say anything like that5? Don't forget that there's a killer in the hospital, and we don't even know when he'll appear." Qi Le Ren was speechless.

Doctor Lu gave him a sideways glance: "You also said it."

"…Oh."

The two fell silent, wondering what to do next.

"Can you conduct a surgical abortion?" It took Qi Le Ren great effort to think about a subject that wouldn't trigger a FLAG5.

Doctor Lu's face had a 'you're kidding' expression on it: "What do you think? I'm a physician! I've even helped with ultrasound examinations for expecting mothers; you just let me conduct the abortion, okay?"

"But even if I haven't, I can still try as well." Doctor Lu considered the possibility.

"She hasn't called out for a while, nothing happened, right?" Qi Le Ren didn't know about the situation on the other side of the door, but his intuition told him that changing sanitary pads shouldn't take that long.

"Ahhh—!!! Ghost!!!" The cry of a person calling 'ghost' sounded through the door. The two men didn't take much time to think, they immediately opened the door only to see Xue Ying Ying falling to the ground, mustering all of her strength to stand up. On the bed she originally rested upon, a semi-transparent ghost with long, disheveled hair covering the front of its face was crawling through the sheets, its body was weirdly twisted and it was leaning down to grab her.

At this moment, Qi Le Ren didn't hesitate. He took one step forward and dragged Xue Ying Ying back, pulling her away. Doctor Lu's entire self resembled a person who was electrocuted6, he broke into a run to leave the room, but then a burst of cold air came from the hallway and slammed the door shut! Doctor Lu forcefully wrung the door handle, but it just wouldn't open!

FML, the door's locked!

The female ghost crawled to the ground, the sound of an explosive "Bang!" came from overhead, accompanied by it were the screams of Xue Ying Ying; the fluorescent lights in the lounge shattered! Shards of gla.s.s crashed, spilling all over the floor! It was dark and cold, the light coming from outside wasn't enough to illuminate the entire room, but it was enough to see the female ghost wriggling on the ground, slowly and with a crooked body, creeping towards the three!

At this critical point, Doctor Lu burst into a shout, "Use blood! Try using blood!"

Where's the blood? Let it out now?! Qi Le Ren was increasingly nervous, but surprisingly, his brain was still able to function. He pulled on Xue Ying Ying to go faster, cursing as he directly reached for her underwear. "Hissss!" What just happened? Just as the two men were dumbfounded, she swatted at the face of the ghost that was about to grab her ankle.7

Shrill shrieks came from the female ghost. Qi Le Ren finally recovered, he grabbed the nearby chair and hit its body, it really touched the ent.i.ty! In the face of an adrenaline rush, Qi Le Ren displayed extraordinary strength. Eventually, the crawling female ghost turned to ashes.

The room turned silent, only the sounds of the trio's labored breathing and pounding heartbeats remained. Qi Le Ren dropped the chair then sat on the ground, heaving a sigh of relief.

This first step wasn't as difficult as he imagined it to be.

Xue Ying Ying clutched at her stomach and gave a low cry. Doctor Lu was trembling from head to toe, but he still supported her and led her to another bed. Seeing that Qi Le Ren was just sitting on the floor, Doctor Lu cautiously walked over and asked, "Are you okay? You're not hurt, right?"

He wasn't hurt, just a bit shocked. A few minutes ago, his heart went wild when he took up the chair and violently bashed it against the ghost. Recalling it now, he only felt it was strange and unimaginable. The female ghost's dreadful looks and mournful screams added to the reality of this nightmare. It was chilling.

As before, the inside of the room remained dim, but the cold and fearsome atmosphere dissipated. Xue Ying Ying was lying on the bed half-dead, hopelessly clutching at her stomach and staring at the ceiling. She feebly asked, "It won't come now?"

"There should be a buffer time." Doctor Lu optimistically replied. "Are you hungry? I'll help you find something to eat. And some weapons, we're unarmed right now, so we're kinda'…ahem, nevermind."

Thinking back on how he and Qi Le Ren really triggered a FLAG and encountered a ghost, he swallowed down his unlucky words.

"You're more familiar with this hospital, so you go. I'll stay here and watch over Xue Ying Ying." Qi Le Ren also hesitated; no matter what, he couldn't just leave the patient here.

"I…" Doctor Lu was stuck on that 'I' for half a day, until he finally revealed the truth, "I'm scared…"

Both Xue Ying Ying and Qi Le Ren fell silent.

"Go ahead, you guys. I'll stay here, it might be safer. If another comes, I'll just use some blood. I'll have to trouble you to help me find something to eat." Xue Ying Ying's heart was very big. She was also calm a few minutes ago in this ghost-infested room—that is, if you ignore the time when she was hovering between life and death and screamed like h.e.l.l.

Doctor Lu made two laps around the room, helped her find two scalpels to use as weapons, then left with Qi Le Ren.

The corridor was quiet, the daylight was a dazzling white.

Doctor Lu constantly chattered to himself, "The canteen is at the back of the Outpatient Building, but we won't go now, we'll first go find some weapons. Then we'll find some food and drinks for Xue Ying Ying, since abortions are physically exhausting. And what the h.e.l.l's up with that fog? We should try to check it out when we get the chance. The two people came all the way to the carpentry workshop of Building B. There were many tools inside that could be used, but unfortunately, they didn't see a chainsaw that the killer used. There were only ordinary saws, wires and drills, and additional carpentry tools. Doctor Lu searched for a long time, then happily held up two crowbars: "Look! Physics Holy Sword8!"

…Just stop.

The items could be collected in their bags, so the two basically looted the entire carpentry room and the engineering room next door; they brought some tools that seemed useful, and then, with a crowbar in their hand, they were ready to search for food in the vicinity. Doctor Lu talked on and on about a supernatural encounter he previously had while he was on night duty.

"Quiet." Qi Le Ren's heart violently pounded, he hissed at Doctor Lu.

Doctor Lu blinked blankly. After noticing Qi Le Ren's solemn face, he couldn't help but be startled.

Thud, thud, thud. Footsteps came from the distant corridor, leisurely and methodically. In a blink of an eye, a person emerged from the corner.

With a chainsaw in hand, he wickedly looked at the two!

Really sorry for the late update! I had to check then re-check this chapter several times…Doctor Lu, why must you speak and think so much?! I really can't understand (or properly translate) what you're saying and thinking half the time! orz
