Gantz:the Devil Within 4 First Mission Part 2

the alien was standing on its four legs,on top of it reaching a height of 3 meters, it had a b.l.o.o.d.y aura surrounding it, turning everyone facing it fearful.

"the others?" kurono calmly asked.

"Jessica and the others are with nora,the guy you fought though is not with us."louis said , examining the battlefield he couldn't help but get surprised at the gory sight.

"y_you did that?"he asked with a surprised tone in his voice.

the other alien kurono had just killed was still visible, so the first thing louis noticed after getting here was its headless corpse.

"how did you get here?"ignoring his question kurono asked with a confused face.

'even if they decided to battle, they shouldn't be able to use the controller to get here.'

"we were searching for nora when we heard the sound of fighting so we came here, one strange thing though is that no one can see us ."louis answered while remebering how every one was ignoring them to a crazy point.

'ooh i see, this can be a lot easier then.'kurono thought, with a smile he looked up to louis since the later was taller than him.

"i see you grasped how to activate the suit."kurono said clearly refering to the high jump louis had just accomplished.

"that was unintentional just now" feeling embarra.s.sed

louis scratched his head.

while the two were in the middle of talking the enemy was slowly approaching them,with a growl it dashed toward the building they were on top of.

"you'll distract it using two x-guns, i'll kill it." noticing the x-gun in the other's hand kurono said hurriedly before throwing his own gun toward louis and with a high jump he landed on the roof of another building

"hey ughhh."catching the x-gun absentmindedly louis tried to say something but before he could the alien crashed on the building, he was thrown off balance causing him to drop to the ground.

picking himself up he started running away from the monster with all the speed he could master.

"how does this d.a.m.n suit work"yelling he continued to run,but with the hurried breathing and the fast speed the alien possess it was only a matter of time before it catched up, glancing back he saw a set of giant sharp teeth nearing his face, wich helped driving his fear to another level making him unconsciously activate the suit's power.

the suit's artificial muscles expanded and with one push of his leg he jumped away horizontaly with the ground ,he barely dodged the alien's claws but was sent flying after getting hit by its tail.

while in mid air he forcefully turned his body so he was facing the enemy he raised the weapons pressing the triggers repeatedly

bang-bang-bang

the alien didn't slow down and kept das.h.i.+ng chasing its prey ,a boom sound was heard and louis crashed into a wall.

trying to stand up from the pile of rocks he looked up to see the red blood eyes of the creature making him lose all hope, just when the enemy was about to attack him both its mouth and nose exploded .

the x-gun surely was a deadly weapon, however it has one major drawback, it had a time lag in wich the compressed energey doesn't have any physical effect on the target until a significant amount of time had pa.s.sed while the gun should be constantly aimed at the enemy.

luckily louis had met the conditions making the current scene of the collapsed alien.

rising up he slowly walked toward it he pointed his gun

and sighed "its over"

and when he was about to pull the trigger the alien's body twitched and with jolt throwed itself at louis catching him offguard.

just when its claws were about to touch him a long sword dropped from the sky slicing the head of the alien ending its life for once and for all.

the gantz sword had the same shape of the j.a.panese katana,in the battle state a sharp blade would extend from the hilt,the blade length can reach more than 30 feet,turning fighting in melee more easier.

"t_thanks"louis said with a frightened look before dropping on his b.u.t.t.

'this guy is good, i could have interfeted a long time ago, glad i waited a little longer' kurono thought while looking at the silver haired louis.

'with some training he should be useful'

while kurono was absentmindedly thinking nora and the others seeing the battle finished slowly approached them

"is it all over?"jessica asked

'in the other hand those guys won't last long' kurono examined them for a while before finally deciding to speak

"if you're talking about the mission yes its finished, but there exists other aliens on the surrounding "he paused a little before saying "you better hide if you want to survive"then turning his head he activated he controller choosing a way he started running.

"hey wai-"

with the suits power it only took him a moment before he was out of their sights.

"what to do now"kevin asked

"let's follow him"jessica answered clearly p.i.s.sed off.

after completing the gantz mission a certain amount of points are given,that depends on the amount of aliens a hunter killed ,and kurono was certainly playing the hunter now.

after ama.s.sing an entire one hundred points the survivor would have to choose either to be free ,to buy a weapon or to revive a dead friend.

considering his situation kurono will certainly choose the second option, with the aliens existence freedom has no meaning.

and friends, he doesn't have them and is not planning on making one either.

'let's se if i can find some weak ones first' there certainly existed a lot of strong aliens scattered around the world however the existence of weaker ones can't be denied.

turning invisible he started tracking aliens one by one determining their strength before confronting them and killing them

even though they were worth little alone ,if you added the amount he had killed it was worth the time.

"huh huh.jess we couldn't find him"talking breathlessly nora said

"we have to we need answers , what are those things why are they attacking us why people can't see or hear us, we need to know what's happening to the world"she said before turning toward louis

"what did you two talk about" she noticed them talking in the middle of the fight but she was too far away to hear anything and was too scared to get near that thing anyway.

opening his mouth louis was going to speak when the scene he was looking at changed entirely,he was back in the room where the gantz ball was standing .

after a minute every single one of them returned with kurono being the last one .

"where's the other guy?"looking left and right kevin asked

"he's dead"before anyone could speak kurono said

everyone turned silent for a moment , jessica then proceeded to stand in front of him looking at him in the eyes.

"tell me what's happening, please"with a pleading voice she said

'i need to protect nora, she's too young for this'

"sure" with a smile kurono said
