Gantz:the Devil Within 16 The Black Ape

the plan was to become a bait and pull the monsters toward them one at a time before finis.h.i.+ng them off, of course they could do that without the bike's help, however there was the possibility of being cornererd, furthermore the monsters were quite fast, especially the red ones, so relying only on the battle suit's speed wouldn't be a wise decision.

once they killed the first alien their confidence rose up as they finished off the others one by one, baiting them with the bike they directed them toward a certain location before they shot the aliens to death with the gantz guns.

however it wasn't that easy, they had to change their location every time they succeed in killing one of the monsters.it was a dangerous situation, at one time when it was nora's turn, instead of baiting one she got two behind her back, fortunately kurono hurriedly directed one of them away while the others killed the remaining one.

every single one of the survivors had killed at least one ape alien, however among them it was clearly kurono who got the largest amount of points, they didn't mind though, their goal wasn't to compete but to regain their freedom.

and as time pa.s.sed they became more and more daring, after killing thirty aliens fear wasn't present in their hearts anymore, they started to regain their courage and more importantly their hope.

the street was void of any human being , people had already escaped to a safe place, vehicules were seen scatred on the middle of the street, and among them only one bike was zigzagging through the way, it was a pitch plack circular bike, a middle aged man with silver hair and handsome looks was seen riding on top of it, and surprisingly a huge ape like monster was chasing right after him.

"get ready"kurono spoke loudly.

"un"nora and jessica nodded at the same time. watching louis directing the monster toward them their face turned serious as the trio held the weapons in an attacking position.

"shoot" right after louis was out of their way and once the alien was in their shooting range kurono gave his command to attack.

bang-bang-bang.

they pulled the triggers in a fast pace.

the red ape sensed great danger coming from the humans who were standing at a distance away from it while pointing those weird things at its body.

it didn't hesitate to jump out of harm's way, a boom sound was heard as the place it was originally standing at was filled with a large number of holes.

its shocked face turned furious in an instant, it growled and madly dashed toward them, even though it was very fast and agile the more it neared them the harder dodging bacame for it.

"ughhhhh" it howled in pain holding its bloodied shoulder with a fearful face.

"shoot it now"the others didn't stop, they continued to pull the triggers repeatedly, they panicked as they shot randomly, its mouth was shot, it legs, its stomach and finally its heart. its loud voice will surely attract the other aliens, they thought. and so they had to change their location as soon as possible.

a boom sound was heard as the ape crashed on the ground, jessica led nora toward the bike, using it the both of them quickly left the place.

kurono and louis weren't slow either, they activated the gantz suits and followed right after the two, escaping with a fast pace.

a minute didn't pa.s.s before a rumbling sound that made the earth tremble was heard, and in an instant five to six large ape monsters appeared in the same location where kurono and the others had fought.

the apes were all red in color, immediately after arriving they dashed toward their friend's corpse intending to drink its blood, but before they reached it a growl came from behind making them stop in their tracks turning them fearful.

turning their heads back they stared at larger pitch black ape with eyes full of fear and terror.

after running a certain distance kurono and the others approached a house entering it they gave a sigh of relief, they could finally relax.

"that's enough right? we killed a large number of them." hesitating for a while louis finally decided to speak.

even though the others didn't voice their opinions their silence made it clear that they were of the same idea.

"no, we have killed a lot of them, the others won't pose a problem to us, we will continue with this plan until we kill them all. " kurono spoke slowly, killing intent projected from his intimidating eyes.

the others looked worried yet they didn't say anything, they didn't fear the aliens as much as they used to, and since kurono looked that confident, they decided to agree with him this one time.

kurono sat leaning at a wall while the others sat a distance away from him, a minute pa.s.sed when he saw nora approaching him hesitantly.

"what is it? " noticing her shy look and her weird actions he asked.

"i_i wanted to thank you for saving me last time"she said hurriedly.

"what are you talking about?"he asked with a confused face

'i almost got her killed and she's thanking me? 'he thought

"you saved me in the last mission, don't you remember? "she asked disappointement clear in her tone.

'oh she's talking about that time' he looked at her with interest in his eyes.

"yeah i remember."

'this girl couldn't have fallen for me that easily right?'he thought but her actions indicated just that.

"then why don't you come sit wit_" she spoke with a happy tone on her voice but she didn't finish her words before a boom sound was her and a large thing came cras.h.i.+ng from the top of the house frightening them all.

"run" he pushed her with a large force out of the house at the same time he warned the others.

she didn't know what was happening as she felt her body breaking through the window's gla.s.s, the world around her started to spin before she found herself on the street.

"nooooo" now that she was out of the house she could clearly see a large creature with pich black fur smas.h.i.+ng the house with its four arms.

nora held her mouth with both hands a disbelieving look on her face, the others were still inside the house, the probability of them surviving that kind of force was very low.

she dropped on her knees tears falling on both cheeks, she felt powerless and useless, the creature was huge even larger than the ones they had fought.

turning back she noticed another five red apes standing right behind her, it's impossible to survive, she thought.
