But with a lower grade it was also much easier to use so he only needed to put a little effort into learning and maintaining it. Lower Grade might seem bad in a one to one comparison, but Zhao Wei was able to use both of them together allowing his overall Tantra absorption to far surpa.s.s any high grade manual.
The methods were taught through breathing not because they were based on it but to help get into the rhythm of energy circulation. In fact the energy wasn't absorbed through the mouth at all as Zhao Wei found out, but through the pores of his body. Or else he wouldn't be able to use both techniques at the same time as he would require breathing at two different paces. As long as he maintained a separate rhythm in the parts he was cultivating he would be fine.
Of course this was easier said than done. If anyone had ever tried doing two different activities with both hands they would know that it was extremely difficult to maintain for a long amount of time. Where as to charge two traps he just needed to focus on splitting and pus.h.i.+ng his mana flow into the mold, this one he had to have a higher level of control.
For his first Tantra method, the focus of absorption was mostly around his throat while the new one around his torso. He did redirect some of this Tantra into his arms but it was way less efficient. If he could multi task up to four things, Zhao Wei knew that the first thing he would do was look for a method to cultivate his hands or legs.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
That night something happened to Zhao Wei's mental s.p.a.ce. When he first started he hadn't noticed anything because his mana production was still slow, so much so that he'd be drained after some time. But after almost a year his mana generation far surpa.s.sed that of what his traps required causing them to be produced at a much higher speed so much so that he didn't even need to rest between each.
Originally, he was always using the mana flow to charge both the Traps, so any of the mana he produced always had somewhere to go, at this point he could churn out several of both traps in a day. He hadn't noticed yet that his mana was overflowing inside him when he stopped charging Wrap Traps as his Bite Trap were just produced at a much higher rate. The fact was that if he wanted to he could probably add another two other traps in without ever being too low on mana.
But when he decided to stop production of both traps, suddenly the continuous generation of mana had nowhere to go and flooded his s.p.a.ce while he was sleeping. The tired Zhao Wei didn't wake up as the mana started to crack his s.p.a.ce flowing directly into his body and out as he moved around uncomfortably on his mattress. All over his body his skin cracked like egg sh.e.l.ls and a warm, blue light seeped from it, threatening to blow if the pressure wasn't alleviated.
Panda who was right next to him began to stir. Her fur which was gradually becoming blacker on one side started to develop this symptom at a faster rate, at first the black parts only covered up to her rib on one side but now it encroached on her tail and thigh at a visible speed.
Once it completely covered half her body the black fur started bristling, what used to be a soft but tough fur now seemed like sharp spikes, it gave of a slight hue like raw iron when it was. .h.i.t by moonlight.
Her black crystal like horn also changed, the edges continuously moving around until the center began to split off, crumbling like dust until it reached the base where the flesh began to reform and push either piece further away from each other. The one which split off the dark side of her body curved like horns of an ashura, retaining it's black crystal like texture, while the other one became a small ivory horn which was pure as a pearl.
For a moment it seemed like the embodiment of two completely different beings in one. On one side a pure white which depicted a sense of calm and holiness. On the other, a feral 'thing' which would scare the living s^&t out of anyone who wanted to face it.
Not only her, but Myra also felt herself grow stronger. But unlike other wolves she instead became smaller. She was a late bloomer, but by this time she was already about the size of a pick up truck. But now it was like she was suddenly being compressed all over again, all the muscles and bones that contributed to her large frame were compressed, the cells overlapping each other and becoming extremely dense.
Besides that, her shadow seemed to move, a ripple like on thick goo moved through the surfaces her shadow landed upon. As the evolution progressed the goo would form and disperse, sometimes turning into fangs, ears or claws before meting again into the shadow.
Her body cracked under the immense pressure and she wanted to howl but was stopped short as it seemed as if her powerful vocal chords had been plugged. she couldn't help but grit her teeth until the moment pa.s.sed.
