There was no budging in the terms. Each side wanted the greatest benefit for their side. Only Eyisha seemed to be pushed out from the negotiations. The only reason she was still here was mainly because she was the main contributor to their gain, but she needed a foot hold somehow and soon else she'd be powerless to influence either side.

After the day's meeting she stepped out first. Kitsi was waiting outside for her but she knew from her expression that things weren't going well inside....

On the other hand Zhao Wei was being pushed to the limit by the old man. His senses were pushed beyond whatever he had attained while fighting beasts. This old man was a monster on his own, even now he was just playing with him as he hadn't even been able to come within 5 meters from him without getting beat down.

If he held his staff a little wrong, his wrist, fingers and elbows would meet with devastating pain. Funny enough though, there was little bruising. Like that he continued to learn and it was alright for Zhao Wei, he'd never been one to learn through theory. This method of beating him until he did it right suited him well.

It forced his muscles to learn on the go, not giving him even enough time to think his next move before another strike came at him. And it came from all directions, even from under him. Even if he wanted to he'd probably not be able to escape the area controlled by this old man.

The old man in question was actually quite astonished. It wasn't from the talent of the young man. In fact if he had to measure the young man's talent, he could only be called an idiot. Not even average compared to the worst talents he'd ever met in his lifetime.

But, there was always something about idiots that made them exceptionally frightful. In his mind he remembered all the most powerful people he'd ever stood beside or faced. It was always the one track minded idiots who had no other options around that became monsters even he had headaches facing.

He'd made this trick once he got older, it was a skill called the Mentors Love. His. .h.i.ts would hurt anyone greatly without leaving so much as a mark, but many of his past students would comment that they'd rather actually be cut than feel the pain of those hits. Even the most talented ones would be exhausted from the constant pain and ask to stop. They learned from the pain and would try to avoid the same hit the next time making him look for their other openings.

But this lad had been under his cane for atleast 6 hours non-stop. He got hit atleast 50 times on any part of his body but still continued. But he wasn't like the others, they would review their fights and preemptively prepare for the next incoming strike, he on the other hand just kept going and in 3 hours his instincts were getting sharper as he'd be able to sense the hit coming. By now, it was like his staff was chasing the canes speed, just a little short of touching it.

Pitka couldn't help but be a little impressed, out of all his abilities, one of his greatest trump cards was the speed. And yet this young man'a instincts and movements were trying to catch up to it. Even if he didn't use his full speed, none of his students ever attempted to catch up even to here as they couldn't endure through.

The thing that was even more crazy was that this was all achieved by pure physical ability. The rest of his student's tantra had already become bronze cla.s.s by this age and could efficiently use them while training

Originally, he wanted to give the young man some books on weapon arts. But seeing this, he decided against it as it would probably only slow him down with all the superficial moves and theories.

After another two hours he stopped the training. Even if he was powerful his age was till catching up to him he told himself. He'd maintained a quarter of his speed, dis.h.i.+ng out atleast 8 hits a second dealing 28,800 blows an hour and 230,400 in the whole session.

The lad looked at him questioningly, this was the first time anyone had asked him for more beatings. Even he knew this was a ridiculous number, the most blows any of his students took before they gave up was 1000, even then he'd thought that the student was a hard worker.

After a few seconds however, Zhao Wei's legs buckled and he fell to the ground. The old man finally realized that the boy hadn't been in perfect shape the whole time. But this kind of will power was even more frightening. Even when his physical limits were being overdrafted, he'd still pushed his body to keep getting better.

"Not bad, not bad..." he felt it in his heart, the boy in front of him would either reach heights even he possibly had never seen before or kill himself in the process. This was the fortune and flaw of every 'idiot' he ever met.

Pitka came close to Zhao Wei who wanted to stand up, and pressed him to sit down. Then he moved and sat across from his, on his tail like all other Naga. Since the start of the training this was the first time he'd opened his eyes to clearly look at the boy.

"Why do you train? What drives you?..." he asked, his tone heavy.

"I need to find someone I lost..."

"Aren't you probably strong enough to look around the world and find her?..."

"I never said it was a her."

"Oh please, anyone who scours the land looking with all his might is looking for a woman... Unless you swing the other way?". He cracked a smile, the dry wrinkled lips parting in such an expression probably for the first time in a while.

"Of course not!!" Zhao Wei couldn't help but be exasperated at the old man. It was true what they said that the older people get, the cheekier as well.
