Despite the overwhelming numbers in this single room, he was pretty sure they would lose if they picked this fight. The man in front of them hadn't even used any skills yet and one of his most promising members was on the floor before he could even complete a move. What would happen if he combined that with his skills.
Even more frightening was the fact that even though the shot was from point-blank range Moto-Tsune hadn't a speck of blood on him. So even while he was doing such a difficult maneuver, he was still making s.p.a.ce for his a.n.a.l neat compulsion.
The others weren't as understanding of their position as they all charged at him, mana and chi gathering around their bodies and weapons as they rushed to initiate the battle. Moto-Tsune on the other hand simply waited for them to come.
(Stop!) Bartram shouted, halting his underlings in their steps. And just in time at that, as Moto-Tsune had one man's arm in his hand while his other held a gun to another guy's chin. A second longer and another person's brains would've been splattered all-over the ceiling.
All the men turned to look at him, considering the weight between their bosses orders and their anger towards this foreigner. But as the turned back to look at the cause of their anger, he was already two steps to the door.
"I guess I was right." Moto-Tsune spoke. It wasn't loud, but Bartram could hear the clear dominant stance of his next words were going to bring, and that just stuck deep into him.
"About what?" through gritted teeth he managed to give an answer.
Moto-Tsune turned and looked at the body on the ground, "That guy was better to you dead." On that note, he turned around in one swift motion, adjusted his collar, set his tie and walked out the door. "I'll get you guys some more ammo, don't waste it." None of them could see his face with his back turned, but they were sure he was smiling.

"So this is it huh?" A pair of nervous eyes looked at the scenery ahead with uncertainty.
"Yup this is it." A confident response came back from Ode, which made it feel a little biased towards the subject in question.
"I thought you said it was big? And I don't know about the measurements in your world, but this isn't big." Zhao Wei commented.
Grendolyn smirked. "When your women brag about your equipment, can I a.s.sume that this is the scale we're basing it on."
"Give Ode some slack." Faris stepped in. "He still sees it as a part of the whole t.i.thor."
Then she smirked. "And trust me, when I say 'big' it's a whole different scale."
"Faris when did you..." Jacob jumped in, obviously fl.u.s.tered by his comrade's comment. "Is it someone from the squad?"
"First of all, I don't spend all my time with the squad, we have our breaks," She explained. "And second of all you guys always run into the river without a cover, so I'm not sure who you'd think my comment would refer to."
Instantly the guys behind began to complain.
"I resent that!"
"My wife likes it like this."
"The river's always so cold, so..."
"..."
"Ode is big." Jacob refusing to stand down made his argument.
In an instant everyone looked at him funny.
"What!" fl.u.s.tered even more by all the stares, Jacob felt like it was on the spot.
"Oh buddy..." the only sympathetic person in the group was surprisingly Jeff. "So.. many questions, but the first would be... of all the things you could've said.. you decided to say that?"
"No," Faris jumped in. "First would be I'm going to pretend you didn't insinuate that I had a relations.h.i.+p with a guy who could be my grandfather."
"Hey!" Ode complained, earning him a knowing look from Faris. "Well, fine."
"Second of all I'm going to pretend that I didn't just find out that you actually observe the 'equipment' of your teammates for whatever reason you may or may not have." Her lips quirked to the side as her eyes widened to look at him, she said it to a.s.sure him that she wasn't judging, but her whole face said otherwise.
The second blow came from Ode. "I'm going to go ahead and follow her lead." Unlike her, his eyes refused to even look at him, darting around as if it'd go blind if he even saw a patch of his skin. "Even if what you said was true." He turned around and walked briskly away.
Jacob himself wanted to dig a hole and bury himself in it right now, maybe he'd be able to turn into a tree.
Just as everyone decided to pa.s.s on into the city, a hand held his shoulder comfortingly. Looking back he saw his old friend Bart. "Don't worry man those two might treat you that way, but the rest of us won't." For a moment he saw some kindness and a road to salvation.
"We'll never forget what we learned about you today." His old friend just signed the epitaph on his tombstone.
