"Oh." That was really all Zhao Wei could reply.

"'Oh'? That's it?" The girl asked.

"I'm not really sure how to respond to it... It's not like I meet someone everyday who out of the blue would tell me they're dying, I'm not sure there's even a proper way to respond to that kind of thing." Zhao Wei answered, looking up while scratching his chin. The air turned a little awkward after he confessed his thoughts. He was to distracted to see her arm her belt with what looked like a water gun and a few transparent gla.s.s bottles. "But... If you've told me all that, I think you expect me to do something for you... right?"

"Insensitive much..." She looked at Zhao Wei, "Though I like a guy who catches on quick." As she said so, she moved towards the vent again, lifting it open before exiting.

Zhao Wei stood in the room silently, not sure how to respond or even what to do at this moment. "Sorry, I'm 20 and I don't know what's the age requirement where you come from, but where I come from we call that statutory ****, it's not very nice... so I'll stop you right there." He finally decided to speak, and he said... that.

"Don't flatter yourself, I'm 27, don't really feel like robbing the cradle." Her upturned lips turning wry with that response as she poked her head back in. " It's pretty easy really, I want to get out of here?"

"Can't you do that already?" Zhao Wei asked.

"Just inside the compound, I want to get outside while I still can, see what's out there. Problem is that I'd get killed out there before I get to do anything..." Zhao Wei left eye arched upwards, even as he followed along "I know both lead to death, but I'd prefer to go out in my sleep than spending my last moments getting mauled to death by a beast as my dying brain watches it savor my innards."

"That's a pretty graphic imagination." Zhao Wei nodded. "Back to can't you do that already, I mean despite your size you obviously hold a lot of strength in your body, what's the point of dragging me into this."

"First of all thank you... I do revel in my brains cognitive function." She explained. "And on that thought, despite my strength, I'm not much of a fighter, my strength is mostly for crafting things. Even though you can probably kill a man with a kitchen knife, it's not it's use, is it?"

"I guess not," Zhao Wei stopped in his tracks, realizing they'd walked quite far. "When did you say you wanted me to bring you out again?"

"Right now actually." She gave Zhao Wei a mischievous grin as she pulled up her sleeve, a contraption that looked like a watch was strapped to her hand. "By my guess, they should've found my empty room, right about... now!"

Zhao Wei suddenly turned pale thinking that he'd been dragged in before he could agree. But as the seconds pa.s.sed, the blare of alarms that he expected to go off, didn't. The girl had already begun running though. "What are you doing!? do you want to get caught?"

Zhao Wei caught up easily, "Sorry! Sorry, I was expecting something else."

"Like what!?"

"Uh..." He wasn't sure how to explain he was expecting red flas.h.i.+ng lights and alarms that rang out like they showed in those spy movies, to be honest he was a little disappointed it didn't go that way. "Just forget about it... By the way, don't forget the fact I haven't exactly agreed to this, what do I get out of helping you?"

"Hey! I let you out of that prison." Grendolyn screamed as she ran. "You at least owe me for that."

"Wait, you're the one who opened the walls?"

"Yup!" They vaulted over some pipes.

"Hmm... Nope"

"What do you mean?"

"Yeah... I think I was doing just fine in the prison."

"No you were not, all those injuries happened after the first trap you faced, each of those rooms hold at least 10." Grendolyn shook her head. "Now we just have to.. Whoa!"

She suddenly dove on top of him, pus.h.i.+ng his body down as a gigantic hammer swung over head, it's ma.s.sive size cutting through the air just above them. A raspy voice sounded off, "Miss, I hope you come back with us quietly while I deal with the outsider." Both were sprawled from the fall, turning around to face a slightly ma.s.sive Golem who was much more muscular than her peers.

"Ohh.. c.r.a.p." Grendolyn gulped.

"What's c.r.a.p? c.r.a.p doesn't sound good." Zhao Wei switched his gaze between the girl and the hulking figure.

"It's Gary, or as the others call her, Gren1."

The thing frankly, quite terrifying. Zhao Wei had felt the wind from it's blow just now. It was swinging that gigantic hammer like a toy, it felt like a speeding train was coming towards him. Gary stepped forward, cracking her neck and joints as she closed in on them. As she got closer, she stopped in her tracks, looking at Zhao Wei curiously. "You're the guy I caught earlier, wonder how you got out..." She murmured as she raised her hammer over her head.
