Despite lack of constant maintenance, the grey concrete walls gave a sense of solidity they haven't had for a long time. Lights were set at the top of each wall at a uniform distance, leaving just a small s.p.a.ce for the dark to creep in.
There was only one way open since the rest of the paths seemed to have been caved in with the crash and Zhao Wei didn't prepare Thirteen a back up b.u.mper car. As they pa.s.sed to the doorway Thirteen stopped in her tracks and began to slide backwards slowly until she was just behind Myra's ma.s.sive frame.
A group was waiting for them with arms folded on the opposite end of the hall, they'd been duped. When the one of them had given a statement about their potential deaths in the crash, it was just a ruse so they'd let their guard down and step out of hiding. But in the end, Thirteen's apprehension didn't stem from this realization.
It was the fact that all the opponents looked the same. It was not that they were wearing uniformed armors and helmets that gave off the illusion of a united group. In fact, they wore no armor at all. Choosing instead an ensemble of clothes that seemed like they had been repaired one too many times.
The group consisted of all females, with black hair that was cut just below the shoulder blades, albeit styled differently from person to person, but that was where the dissimilarities end.
From facial features like the pupils, noses and lips. If they were cleaned of the dust and grime a little and stood in front of one another, there was a chance they would confuse their counter part as a mirror reflection instead of a separate living and breathing organism. Their slightly tan skin, lean muscular bodies, even down to their generous endowments were exact photocopies of the each other.
It should be an impossibility, even twins had some differentiating characteristics. And which mother was fortunate or unfortunate enough to give birth to 12-13 identical children at the same time, were they making a soccer team?
Thirteen didn't have time to think of other things as she shouted. "Myra!, Panda! maneuver F-4!" her tail curling around Panda who seemed jubilant at the thought of a few fight.
One of the women raised her hands forward to speak, "Wai..." but it was a moment too late as Thirteen whipped her tail.
The flick when her tail released it's coil, launched Panda forward like a speeding bullet. Before she reached the enemies however, a black wall appeared in between them and swallowed her into it's shadow. As the opponents who were about to dodge saw the a.s.sault disappear, they became confused for a moment before the same wall appeared between the large group and Panda reemerged with the same speed, giving the first three lines a kick from behind and launching them towards Thirteen.
As Panda jumped off her victim, she landed into the shadow again, this time, Myra activated her shadow to create a gate right next to the rearguards which Panda jumped out off, preparing to give whatever they were a good thras.h.i.+ng.
Myra joined the fray as she met several of the enemies coming towards her position. One of them moved forward faster than the rest but suddenly found herself falling as she appeared from another gate Myra had produced on the ceiling. Dropping her, right on top of some of her teammates who came cras.h.i.+ng down very quickly.
Returning to the same exact moment Thirteen was completely dominating the 5 that were thrown her way, Drawing them away from the larger group and into the room of the crash site. It gave her more s.p.a.ce to move and made sure she didn't get mobbed in a corner..
Only after 5 minutes of fighting did she begin to get tired of the fact that despite all the injuries she had inflicted on all the five women, none of them slowed down and the injuries she inflicted on them would disappear. She could feel that although her blades did sink in, she wasn't cutting flesh instead feeling more like she was sc.r.a.ping her blade against the ground.
Only in the last maneuver where she split the woman's body up to her head did she notice, that despite the "wound", what appeared underneath was not meat but a gravel like material which quickly began to close on itself.
