Besides, he barely had room for himself down there. If they all squeezes in, one of them would've had to sleep on the kitchen counter, and by how easily they wrecked everything they touched, Jeff wasn't about to let any of them near his kitchen.
But lucky for him, the whole process didn't even last 4 hours and Zhao Wei had taken out several beast furs to keep him warm while thee was no roof to block off the wind. And like that somehow the shack that had never been renovated for several decades became a stylish two story home.
Zhao Wei even took the liberty of renovating the first floor to which Jeff protested vehemently but in the end couldn't do anything after being sat on by Myra. He had to admit though, if he didn't know the guy as a fighting freak he could've mistaken him for a very good builder from the way he designed everything and how st.u.r.dy it became.
He doubted that even the Kingdom's architect guild could economize his s.p.a.ce so well, somehow his old room had so much s.p.a.ce that it felt a little empty, despite him almost not being able to move at all in the same s.p.a.ce before.
It was pretty easy really, Zhao Wei just set up several shelves on the wall that perfectly fit Jeff's height. This allowed him to move plates, pots and pans that were usually placed on the tables and chairs as well as any things Jeff had strewn about his room.
Surprisingly, even if he didn't build a second floor, they might've all been able to fit in here after all. He also made an extended roof over the chairs outside where he and Guru usually sat to eat, like this 'if' any customers decided to come, they would be covered from the direct rays of the sun and sit peacefully under the shade as they ate. And more importantly, it would distract them from looking up and seeing that the building had changed drastically.
After all this was done, he let Panda and Myra rest first while he took care of some minor touches on the customer seating area. Adding a coat of varnish to make sure that the supports didn't directly rot from any rain and heat.
As he did so, suddenly he jumped up, "So you've finally decided to move." he stated as a dagger cut exactly where he'd been before.
"Don't get too c.o.c.ky" a distorted voice spoke lazily as a tail wrapped around his neck while he was in the air, the tail was the a.s.sailant's going up into one of the beams like a noose and him the hanged man.
The a.s.sailant moved to stab him even before he lost his breath. It was a very difficult position for him as he was mid air and had his back facing the opponent. Lucky for him the second Tantra method Guru had given him had nurtured his flexibility greatly, his legs and waist were actually easily able to bend and raise it until it was almost at a 90 degree angle barely dodging the attack and allowing him to wrap his legs around the a.s.sailant's neck.
Activating his Tantra on his palm he touched the flesh on the tail around his neck, causing it to spiral inwards and several scales that clashed on it were torn off painfully. But this opponent was no amateur as the tail didn't release him but actually tightened around his throat.
The dagger in the figure's hand moved to tab into one of Zhao Wei's thighs. Releasing his legs hold on the a.s.sailant's head, Zhao Wei kicked at the chest instead, giving him momentum which he added into his next maneuver in which he kicked his legs up while he swung away and readjusted his body so that he was now standing upside down on the ceiling, finally facing the direction of the attacker with the tail still around his neck.
Wrapping his hands around the tail, he kicked away from the ceiling and pulled the attacker up instead who couldn't help but get dragged up. As the body swung up and came towards him, he raised his leg to give it a good kick to which the other responded by catching it in their armpit and sinking the dagger in his thigh.
c.r.a.p!! he thought, this was the first time someone could hurt him besides Guru. This person was trained well as the reaction was perfect despite the sudden change of circ.u.mstances and the execution flawless.
Both of Zhao Wei's hands were occupied with holding onto the tail lest he get dragged up and hanged again if he let go, even now it was still tightening on his throat and all the maneuvers despite lasting mere seconds was depleting the leftover oxygen way too quickly. The a.s.sailant didn't stop at one stab and seemed to want to completely waste his leg with several stabs, but in this battle, Zhao Wei still had the extra limb.
He jumped with his leftover leg and kicked the chest, connecting perfectly this time as the other party was busy with both hands. By luck he'd kicked right under the navel and knocked the air out of his opponent whose tail finally let go as both of them finally dropped to the floor.
The opponent had been wearing a hood the whole time and he was in a life and death struggle so he didn't really have the time to notice but now the hood was kicked back in the scuffle and he could see the face of his attacker.
"Eh!! You're a girl!?"
