Ci-ci opened the large oak double doors that stood proudly as the entrance of Cherry Rose Residence to find two cold blue eyes staring back at him.

Frae, despite her business wear, was just as beautiful as ever. Her blond hair was done up in an elegant bun, a tablet and a few loose papers were clung to her more than ample chest, all while her tight-fitting black skirt suit outlined her enticing silhouette.

"I'm here for some administrative matters, if you could let me in." Frae's words didn't sound like a request, but Ci-ci could only bitterly chuckle and allow her in, closing the doors behind them.

The moment you entered Cherry Rose, you were greeted by a large set of double winding stairs at either side of the room that loomed over a gracefully designed walkway ending in floor to ceiling windows. Due to the design and the clear view of the well-kept courtyard completed with a small pond and fountain, it was almost as though you walked into a fairy-tale the moment you stepped into the manor.

Usually, at this time of year, there would be plenty of orientation and guide groups floating around the campus with his very manor as their prime destination. But, obviously things had changed now that Ci-ci had taken it as his private residence.

Honestly speaking, just the fact that they allowed a symbol of his mother to fall into the hands of a stranger just to save their a.s.ses p.i.s.sed Ci-ci off. It was an odd cognitive dissonance… But he could only be happy that this stranger was him and not someone else.

Ci-ci led Frae to an office on the first floor that had once been the bedroom of the House Master, now repurposed for Ci-ci's use. Luckily, the actual bed, bathroom and such were through a separate attached door, so it was far less awkward for Ci-ci and Frae. After all, they were technically strangers while Ci-ci was in disguise.

Soon, Ci-ci had found his way behind a modern, matte-black desk while Frae sat across him.

"Administrative matters, you say?"

"Yes. There are a few things about your background and a contract the Deans and the Headmaster would like to come to the forefront. It's my responsibility to handle these matters."

"Mm." Ci-ci nodded. "I would have thought that those old fogies would want to keep everything as hush hush as possible, but to think they'd be willing to leave a paper trail."

Frae didn't respond to Ci-ci's playful banter and instead got straight to business. So, Ci-ci could only answer bland questions about a fake background he had made up just days beforehand. However, it wasn't long before Frae got to the question Ci-ci really wanted her to ask.

"How did you meet Ci-ci Bell? What are your connections with him? Does he know you are here? These questions are important, so answer truthfully.

"Although you may have no intention of revealing your connection with Ci-ci Bell, if there is a case where you have come without his permission, it could lead to problems. For example, if he is angered by a decision you made behind his back, it could result in him revealing the truth. In that case, the troubles of the university would only increase, not decrease."

Ci-ci grinned. "Do you believe that Ci-ci is petty enough to do that? I wonder sometimes…"

"…"

"I'm surprised you all haven't figure it out yet, honestly."

"?"

Ci-ci chuckled. "I have no connections with Ci-ci Bell whatsoever. The only reason I mentioned his name was to get my foot in the door. If I had been just some random n.o.body, do you think that those Deans, with their bloated elitist heads shoved neck deep up their a.s.sholes, would have even given me a second look? Quite frankly, I'm not a fan of arrogant p.r.i.c.ks like him. As if I would ever call a man like that Teacher."

The scolding words that left Ci-ci's lips flipped the meeting on its head.

This was exactly what Ci-ci wanted. Allowing them to believe that there was a connection between Five and Ci-ci would only be detrimental to him. By doing this, it would be even less likely that they'd draw a line between his two alter-egos than if he never mentioned Ci-ci at all.

However, Ci-ci would be lying if he didn't enjoy the slight flash of rage that lit Frae's cold eyes. It was only for a moment, but Ci-ci's senses were too sharp to miss it.

'I'm happy that you want to protect your hubby.' Ci-ci thought to himself happily.

Frae looked down at her list of questions as though Ci-ci hadn't said anything at all, her previous rage a fleeting figment of reality.

"I see. Since that's the case, then that makes this much simpler. The remaining questions won't be necessary."

With an elegant flair, Frae removed a crisp piece of paper from an envelop and slid it across to Ci-ci. "You may read this over at your leisure and sign when you're ready."

Ci-ci took Frae's advice, combing over every line and ensuring that his every request was outlined while also making certain that there weren't any unnecessary chains attached to him. Although this was a fake ident.i.ty, it would be inconvenient for him to abandon it for obvious reasons.

Moments later, Ci-ci took a pen and signed, adding unique quirks to his penmans.h.i.+p so that Frae wouldn't recognize it.

"There's just one last thing." Frae calmly took the contract before looking up at Ci-ci who had stood up and walked around the desk toward the door.

Before Ci-ci could turn an inquisitive glance toward the beauty, a deadly flash of wind erupted in the room.

Ci-ci felt a stabbing pain crumple his torso, sending him flying backward and into the manor's wall.

By the time his vision had cleared, a slender hand was restricting his air ways, lifting him up with power that shouldn't have fit in those slight arms.

Frae's poisonous cold gaze stared up at Ci-ci as his legs flailed to no avail.

"The following request comes from the Mortlock family. I'm sure you understand that the only possible response is yes."
