Meanwhile in a forest, in the world where Arimane was sent.

Arimane, standing, wore a blank expression like he was exasperated of something.

In front of him was a lake, and in the latter was bathing a woman who was looking at Arimane with obvious killing intent. That woman had a body that any man would fantasize on. She had long blond hair and eyes glooming of a beautiful blue. And currently, this is what Arimane was thinking.

"(Yeah... of course... I'm feeling an urge to hit that old guy. Seriously, I'm sure he knew when he sent me here. And when I think of that att.i.tude he showed me it makes me even angrier)"

The truth is that Arima felt something was amiss with the att.i.tude of Azes. He met a lot of different types of people in his life, and when he saw the old G.o.d the only word he could describe him with was 'overbearing'. He felt a great amount of dread coming from him. But despite that, he acted cheerful and childish, really triggering Arima's tolerance.

Just before leaving, he wanted to hit him just because he was infuriated by his att.i.tude and the lie he was told about his death. Of course, Arimane would never believe something like killing a human while playing a game with other G.o.ds. And when you think about it, a lightning strong enough to kill him in his house would be of a scale never seen before. But still, he didn't believe that a G.o.d would kill him on purpose, so he let it slide because he thought that either way he wouldn't be moved by it.

"[I call upon you, the blowing spirits, Jade Blow]" Suddenly the voice of the woman interrupted Arima's thoughts.

"(A chant?)" Arimane quickly regained his attention on the situation. He knew what he was facing thanks to the knowledge he received arriving in this world. He felt weird when the information came to him but when he heard the chant he soon lost any discomfort. And of course, he was aware of the threat he was facing.

He rolled to the right without hesitation and the magic sent by the woman cut a tree behind him. The attack was almost transparent. If it wasn't for the instinct and experience that Arimane had built in his entire life, then he would have been cut in half.

"(It was compressed wind, right? She's trying to kill me? I know that women can be easily raged when their bodies are seen but that's a bit too much there)" He sighed and turned his head toward the woman, she already had retreated to the sh.o.r.e and was hiding a part of her body with her clothes.

"(Mh? Wait, that magic, if I'm not wrong… interesting)" Arimane realized something.

"Hey" He exclaimed. When he talked, without showing it on the outside, he was extremely surprised. His voice sounded young. Much different from when he was still alive, and it was quite disturbing.

"I am sorry for this incident, but neither you nor I wanted this. So please don't try to kill me, that would help a lot" He said calmly as if nothing happened.

"What? Why would I believe you?" The girl was startled when Arimane talked but then asked cautiously.

"Because If I wanted to you would already be on the ground" Arimane coldly and slowly said with the same expression. He wasn't bluffing, although Arimane didn't know anything about this world he was still confident in his abilities and even if he couldn't fight this girl head on, he could still a.s.sa.s.sinate her. Someone like him wouldn't appear like that in front of her if he wanted to harm her.

The woman couldn't help but take a step back. She felt an unbearable feeling of danger coming from the man in front of her. She didn't say anything, but she began to observe Arima head to toe. He was approximately 1.90 meters tall, he had a st.u.r.dy body. He was wearing a black long coat; in fact, he was wearing only plain black clothes. His face was neatly arranged, sharp silver eyes and combed black hair. He seemed to be around twenty-five years old.

"(…Even if I don't want to admit it, he can be called handsome. Now the problem is what do I do? I don't think what he said earlier was unbiased arrogance, I can feel a terrifying aura coming from him, and the ominous kind. He said he doesn't want to fight me, but I can't trust him so easily. If I usually did that, then I would already be dead. So, do I flee, fight or believe him?)"

While the woman was deliberating, Arimane opened his mouth.

"You're an elf, right?"

The elves. It's a race which is a lot present in fictive creations in the world of Arimane but right now he was basing his judgment on the knowledge the G.o.d gave him. The elves are a strong race. The women and men are all specialists in green magic and additionally, they are the sole race who can freely use spirit magic because they are born and loved by nature. And so, the humans began to feel jealousy and fear for them. So, they attacked and killed more than 70 % of the elves in a war, and of course, they won. Because besides the fact that elves are stronger than humans, they are also much less in number.

And so, the elves became a race despised and looked down upon and began to be enslaved. Because in addition to their power, the elves also are all beautiful, men and women. So, increasing their value as a slave, particularly women's. A thing to know is that in this world elves look totally like a human. They don't have long ears. Here Arimane recognized her as an elf because of the magic she just cast, and more precisely, her chant, and it's also right that most elves have colorful hair like blue, green and most of them are blond with blue eyes. Otherwise, the natives of this world can recognize an elf by sensing the spirits around them. But right now, Arimane isn't used to magic sense so he could only guess.

After the Arimane's statement, the elven woman looked even more cautiously at him.

Arimane smiled "Well, don't mind me too much. I don't want anything from you. I just want you to know that I am not your enemy. So, can you please relax a bit? And you're not fully dressed by the way"

The elf rolled her eyes and looked at herself. Embarra.s.sment and anger then appeared on her face and she rushed silently behind a big tree to hide. She didn't say anything for a few seconds, her voice came out from behind the tree.

"…Then can you tell me your name?" she asked

Arima laughed and sat on a nearby rock.

"I am Arimane Blade, you can call me Arima. Well… I came here in travel and coincidentally met you" Arima responded.

"I see" The elf appeared beside the tree, fully dressed in a charming green set, staring at Arima "I am cautious but …I am an elf and I think I am good a judging people. I think you are not so bad, so I'll trust you temporarily. My name is Lifa Drein"

Arima smiled "It's a pleasure to meet you, Lifa"

"Me too, Arimane" She said courteously "The spirits probed you and it seems that they trust you. Looks like you have a good soul" Lifa seemed to a bit more relaxed but still stayed cautious "I thought all humans were only a l.u.s.tful species"

Arima laughed lightly "Well, I admit that you are pretty attractive but it's not like I am some beast and I know how to control myself. Well, if I'd really want, then I'd incite you in taking the first move" Arima said

She blushed and rolled her eyes staring at Arima "You're skipping politesse you know"

Arima laughed and stoop up "Just a joke, I'm honestly not that kind of man, and I mean it"

"(Seriously)" Arima thought "(I've lived long enough to go beyond that, and I don't even know if my libido came back with this new body)"

"Well, I think it's time for me to go" He said

Lifa sighed and shook her head "Ok if we meet another time let's talk" Lifa seemed to have lost a good quant.i.ty of cautiousness and smiled. But at this time, even she was shocked by her own behavior. She perfectly knows that she is not the kind to trust people easily, especially humans. But strangely, she felt that Arima was a person who gave the will to get along. Arima turned around but at that moment Lifa suddenly thought of something.

"Wait" She called him.

Arima turned back "Mh? What is it?" He asked.

"Uhm, sorry but, can I ask you a favor?" She suddenly asked.

Arima was a bit surprised "(Why would she ask me a favor all of sudden?)" He looked at her for a moment "What kind?"

"I'm actually in the human territory because some elven children were kidnapped by humans and I'm here to bring them back, one of them is a friend of mine. I would like to ask you if you find them, would you save them? That's my favor" She said.

Arima stared silently at her for a few seconds. And she trembled a bit. He knew that what she just asked was an earnest request, she didn't lose anything asking him.

"Fine, I can do that. Don't worry, if I ever find them, I'll help them. Myself, I despise slavery so I would be happy to help. And more importantly, we ought to be kind to children" He said and smiled.

Lifa smiled cheerfully "Thank you very much" She bowed slightly.

"Yeah, well then" He turned around and waved his hand. He soon disappeared in the forest.
