Finding himself in the sea of stars, Magna threw out a bunch of curses as he knew that Qrow must have knocked him out.

After a couple minutes of non-stop profanities, Magna took in a couple deep breath and calmed down.

Looking around, Magna sighed as he muttered, "This place sure is beautiful…"

The sight before him looked exactly like the ocean at night, when the light from the stars glistened on the oceans surface. While the light coming from the stars here weren't as bright, the grey l.u.s.ter still created the same mood.

As he was viewing the stars, he suddenly froze as he stared at the only star that wasn't grey.

The light blue star that represented Naruto's life had a thin blue strand of light extending from it. Floating towards the star, Magna stared at the strand with his hand scathing his chin as he softly asked, "What's going on?"

Cautiously, Magna reached towards the strand and grabbed it. As he held the strand in his hands, his eyed widened as the strand felt like a piece of taut string.

Magna's curiosity peaked as he held the string-like strand of starlight and quietly followed it along. Turns out, the string wasn't very long as he only went a couple meters away before he came to a stop.

At the other end of the string was another star cl.u.s.ter. The strand of starlight tried to enter into the cl.u.s.ter but was refused entry.

As he stared at the cl.u.s.ter in a daze, a quiet and emotionless voice softly muttered, "Crush it…"

The voice slowly chanted the same words in his head, over and over again, until, before he realised it, the star cl.u.s.ter was silently floating on his palm.

Gritting his teeth, Magna thought to himself, 'I've come this far, might as well go all the way!' Before crus.h.i.+ng the star cl.u.s.ter in his hands.

Rays of crimson light burst out from the gaps of his hand as a burning sensation engulfed him. Magna started to panic as he knew this feeling all to well. It was exactly the same as when he transformed into his tailed beast form.

As the pain from being burned alive continued to grow stronger, a roar of demonic laughter rung out from Magna's mind, giving him a splitting headache.

After a couple seconds, the laughter died down as a familiar voice bellowed, "Well, this is different."

Magna continued to wither in pain as he roughly muttered, "…Kurama?"

The voice laughed as it yelled, "That's right, brat."

"But… How?"

The laughter abruptly stopped as Kurama said, "Not even I know why. All I know is that, after that brat Naruto pa.s.sed away, I suddenly woke up here. Now, you tell me, why are you collapsed in pain?"

Laughing through the pain, Magna wryly smiled and said, "How the h.e.l.l would I know that? One second, I'm fine then the next, I'm feeling so much pain that I really want to pa.s.s out."

"Hmmm… give me a second…" Kurama suddenly went silently for a couple minutes before he roared, "d.a.m.n brat! What the h.e.l.l have you done to yourself!?!"

"What's wrong?" Magna asked as the pain slowly started to disappear.

"Hmph! Your body is fine but your soul isn't."

Suddenly, Magna became extremely worried. He quickly asked, "What's wrong with my soul? Can you fix it?"

Kurama was silent for a second before he said, "Your soul has been tainted by the malice of my charkra. And Yes, I can fix it. But, how did you come in contact with my charkra. For this level of corruption, you'd need to have used my charkra without me filtering it."

Magna abruptly froze. Sweat dripped down his brow as he asked, "What do you mean, 'filtering it'?"

Kurama snorted as he said, "Do you think just anyone could use my charkra? All those people who have tried ended up being unable to control themselves and ended up being turned into monsters. When I give my host charkra, it's charkra that's been filtered of my influence, making it safe for my host to use."

"However, you… your soul looks as if it's absorbed some of my charkra that hasn't been filtered. So the hate and malice that I have is mixed in with your soul."

"Tell me, brat, ever since you used my charkra, have you been becoming increasingly violent and quick to anger?"

Magna winced at Kurama's question as it was spot on. Before Magna could even answer him, Kurama's voice bellowed from his mind, "Don't bother replying, I got the answer from your reaction."

Suddenly, Magna felt a heavy pulling force coming from within himself. He was about to resist when Kurama's voice calmly said, "Don't fight it."

Of course, Magna felt reluctant to not resist but ultimately listened to Kurama as his body that stood in the sea of stars disappeared in a flash of light.

---

Opening his eyes, the first thing that came to view was a huge orange fox with nine tails. It sat up straight with a amiable smile on its face. Magna scanned his surrounding and saw that it looked exactly like Naruto's mindscape.

A big stone room filled with water that just reached his ankles. Unlike Naruto, however, Magna didn't have the seal from the forth hokage.

Honestly, Magna was very conflicted at the moment. On one hand, he was really scared of Kurama as even his smiling face looked scary but on the other hand, he really wanted to fanboy as he was standing before the nine tailed fox.

In the end, his fanboy nature won out as he smiled and said, "Wow! You look so cool!"

Kurama's smile grew as he nodded and said, "d.a.m.n straight I'm cool. I'm liking you already. Unlike you, that d.a.m.n Naruto had the guts to say that the d.a.m.n Tanuki looked cooler than me!"

With Kurama's reply, Magna almost instantly understood which timeline Kurama was from. Sighing hard, Magna knelt to the ground while holding his face as he sorrowfully groaned, "Boruto… it just had to be Boruto."

He honestly didn't have anything against the show 'Boruto', it's just that he never actually bothered watching it.

Shaking his head, he focused as he said, "So, Kurama. Why did you call me here? Is it to fix my soul?"

Kurama chuckled as he said, "Polite and smart, already better than Naruto. As you guessed, I brought you here so I can fix your soul. It would have been too hard to extract my influence from your soul with your soul being somewhere other than your body."

Suddenly, Magna froze as he muttered, "Wait… my soul was outside my body? Does that mean I died!?!"

Kurama gave Magna a swift yet gentle slap with his tail as he sighed and said, "Scratch that. Your just as clueless as that idiot Naruto. Your soul was still inside your body but at the same time, it wasn't. For some strange reason, the only traces I could find of your soul were gathered around your heart and that's how I could talk to you."

"Wait! So you couldn't actually see me inside the sea of stars?" Asked Magna as he rubbed the small b.u.mp on his head.

"Nope, and I'm not gonna bother asking about it. Something tells me that it's way too much to process right now."

Seeing Kurama suddenly become lazy as it flopped to the ground, Magna sighed before asking, "So how do we remove your influence from my soul."
