1st Story —The Prophet Recovers His Strength

What greeted us after leaving the Other World was a forest full of suns.h.i.+ne and a road that was built with a solid pathway. Not far away from the road, I saw a large city.

Thanks to the letters that comes to me frequently, we knew a lot about the countries in the Human World. But I realized how fun it was to see them with my own eyes.

To be honest, it brings a lot more excitement now that I’m actually looking at the recent progress of the countries being reported to me. This is what exactly I was looking forward when I went on a trip since I remembered the letter very well.

“I think there’s a Global Guild branch in this city that hasn’t change since decades ago.”

Global Guild is a guild that gathers information not only about the country but also about the world’s occupants. You can register your job and get a copy of what’s called a “Global Card” to get a proof of your status. In cities and countries where there are checking stations located, such identification is important.

With that in mind, I step forward and readied my staff. The magic I’m going to use is a basic magic of a Prophet which I’ve commonly used several times in Other World.

The instant I chanted those words, spears of fire shoots from my staff and pierced the three Lesser Trolls. Blazing spears jostle into the three trolls at high speed.

By the time the lesser trolls opened their eyes in surprise, their whole body was already covered with fire and just like that, their body limped down the ground

Rinne cried in delight after I invoked a magic. To invoke magic by using words with magic powers and direct it to the object—that’s one of the skills of a Prophet. There are many uses for magic stones, so it’s worth collecting them. And so, I picked up the magic stone since I can exchange them for some cash or magic tools later on.

“Now that we have solved the problem, shall we continue our walk to the city? Let’s take a closer look at the Pioneer City.”

“Yes, Eisen-sensei!”

Having recovered a part of my power although it was just a waypoint as we continue to the direction of the Pioneer City, I walked while enjoying and savoring the fresh air of the Human World.
