There Is Only One You! 15 The Promised Day!

Just like that, the sleepless night pa.s.sed.

The morning came..... The whole family was in chaos. Seetha was stunned, "What? What's going on??" Seetha looked wild with her bed head. She was practically tossing and turning and never slept. Arjun ran to her and said astonis.h.i.+ngly, "Sis! Sis, the doctors said aunty could be discharged today itself! It seems like her heath has improved drastically. But to be cautious mom suggested that we will get her discharged tomorrow. So that the doctors could do a proper observation once more."

Seetha's face brightened once she heard the major news! She bear hugged Arjun out of excitement and he returned the hug too!

Their home was a mess when she saw yesterday. But now its starting to look like how it used to be. Her mom and her grandma were thoroughly cleaning the home, while Arjun helped in arranging the furniture. Arjun was beaming as the promised day has finally come.

Seetha went near him and helped him with it. After sometime their home looked presentable.

Seetha showered and was waiting in the dining table for Arjun. Then the family had their breakfast. Seetha spoke, "Can I go and visit aunty? Will that be ok?" She questioned with a worried look on her face.

"What are you talking about sweety? Your aunty will be very pleased to see you! In fact she was very worried since you have gone missing. She missed you terribly."

Thus the family made their way to the hospital.

Seetha stood outside the ward while everyone went in. They wanted to surprise their aunty, so the twins planned it out accordingly. Just like usual their aunt asked them about Seetha. At that time Arun signaled Seetha to come in.

A soft pair of fair hands slowly pushed open the door from the outside. Her aunt was puzzled when someone opened the door to her ward. Before she could speak out, the figure by the door looked very familiar.

The girl wore a nice looking one piece. The color was warm and gentle. Her jet-black curly hair fell all the way from the girl's shoulder's touching her waist, revealing her fair beautiful face. Simply said she looked beautiful.

Her aunty started tearing up, upon seeing that familiar face and reached out her hand to that girl before her. She hated herself for not being able to run towards to that child and hold her in her arms, as tears started falling down from her eyes.

Upon seeing it Seetha rushed towards her Aunty and hugged her tightly. Her aunty could not say anything, she just wept. Seetha consoled her and told her everything that has happened. Her aunty suddenly turned stiff after hearing her. She looked at her mother, "Mom, this has happened? Have you told them?"

Seetha's grandma sighed helplessly, "Sigh... I haven't told them yet. I planned on telling once you came back home. Now that you mentioned it, I may as well tell them the details."

Seetha was confused. "What do you mean grandma?" Arjun held Seetha's hand and shot a look at Arun as he told, "Well sis, yesterday, I happen to overhear a conversation between grandma and mom. When I pestered them regarding it, grandma promised me that she would tell once aunty is back home. But now, since the whole family is present here why don't you tell us here itself grandma." He was loosing his patience, his head would burst open if he is not fed with that news. He couldn't wait any longer.

Their grandma looked at her daughter and daughter-in-law, with worry written all over her face. Ananya gently patted the back of her mother-in-law and gave her a confident look, while her daughter, "Mom, its no use hiding it anymore. The cat is already out of box. Let's just tell them everything." and said comforting words to her mother.

"Ok..... The thing that I will be saying now should never leave this room. Can you three guarantee it?" Grandma questioned them. The three siblings looked at each other and nodded with a tensed expression on their faces.

"Actually Seetha dear, the thing which happened to you, we were expecting it to happen sometime in the future but never thought that the day would come sooner than expected. You are aware of the fact that you are adopted right honey, its something related to that. Would you still like to listen to it?" The grandma was very concerned about Seetha.

Seetha nodded, "I do know that I am an adopted daughter of this family. If my disappearance is related to that I would like to know more about it. Besides it is not just some random kidnapping, I really went into the past! So that's an even more reason for me to learn the truth! Don't you agree grandma?"

Seetha sounded so calm and collected. Even thought she knew that she was not their real daughter, she never felt like an adopted one in this family. Even though she was young when she found out about this truth, she could still feel the love that they showered her with was a real deal. Even her brother's never criticized her with that. They both loved her just like how they would love their real sister.

Seeing that honest look on her eyes, her grandma finally opened her mouth, "The thing that you know about you adoption was only half true. We have been hiding this truth for so many years till now. In fact you could say that we did not believe what happened that day. But now that the things have come to this, how could we still not believe it?" The grandma started sounding very serious.

The three could not take any more suspense, as Arjun finally cried, "Grandma please say it fast! You are killing us with your suspense!" While Arun started to look very nervous. Seetha balled her fists until her fingernail dug deep into her palm.
