There Is Only One You! 16 The Prophecy!

The grandma continued, "It was on one rainy night that a woman appeared at our door step to deliver the baby you to us."

She had a long beautiful blond hair. She was hurt very badly and was bleeding all over. She wore some ancient clothes and even spoke very differently.... She handed over the baby in her hands and said to protect her until the time comes.

She also said, "When the time is appropriate the child shall return to where she belongs as this is not her world and when that time comes we must let that child go!"

"We couldn't just ignore her so we asked that woman to come in, so that we could help her treat her wounds. The wounds she had was horrible. It was mostly the wound from a shot or at least that is what we thought. When we saw an arrow we were dumbstruck! That arrow was still stuck on the back of that woman. We were all surprised! Who in the world uses arrows now-days."

"That woman continued to speak only when your mom pestered her to." She handed over a prophecy written in some old paper. The thing stated in that was, the name of the child and a weird fate where she will be travelling to the past and the future. If that child wishes to lead a comfortable life she must never come in contact with the past. But that past is something that can not be erased as it will be bound to happen. When that happens she ought to be very careful."

"As we saw this we were all dumbfound. All of a sudden one random woman with injuries appears at late night with a child in her arms. Who would actually trust that woman? Obviously we didn't trust her in the beginning but at that time something terrible happened!"

Grandma's expression darkened and there was fear in her eyes, she even quivered a little as she continued, "A man followed this woman shortly."

"He looked like an ancient warrior. He wore some heavy looking armor and even had a sword on his hand. He was covered in blood, like a warrior just out of an war! His thirst for blood was so high that even though we were inside the house, we could fell it. The woman trembled at the sight of that man!"

"Please... Please save this child! She is our only hope! If that man catches her then that will be the end for us. Please you must save this child!" The woman starting weeping. "When the time comes this child will get something which will help her travel through time. Until then I will leave her under your care." After she said that she sprung out of our home and started running around in a different direction to distract that man.

Suddenly there was a wail scream of that woman. She died on his sword. That man didn't even bat an eyelid before striking her down. Seeing that, chill run down our spines. Your father immediately locked the door and took you upstairs so that he won't be able to sense you clearly. Luckily we had your brothers as an distraction. When he hear the cries of the babies he swiftly rushed to our house and broke in. But he stopped the moment he saw two healthy male child. The next moment he disappeared into thin air right before our eyes. Even the body of that woman disappeared."

"We couldn't believe our eyes. But everything that happened was real because we still had that child with us!"

Arjun interrupted, "Then what about that prophecy? Do you still have it with you? And was she named differently?"

Grandma nodded a little and said, "Yes, your name is Ira. We changed your name so that n.o.body finds you."

The three siblings couldn't believe their ears. They felt stupefied. But somehow the things that the grandma said makes sense with what sis said, so maybe it could be true.....

Seetha didn't know how to react. Especially about that man her grandma mentioned. Somehow she got a really bad feeling about that man.

One day pa.s.sed and their aunty has returned home.

It was still sunday, so Seetha didn't have to go to college. Besides it seems like only a few people in her college knows that she was kidnapped, everyone else thinks that she has frail health. So that acts as a good cover for her.

She called her friend Sruthi. The moment the call connected, "Wah....Wah.. Is this real!! Am I really getting a call from my dear bestie Seetha?? Am I dreaming? What happened to you? Where were you these past few days?? Where are you now??" She bombed with a lot of questions.

Seetha answered nonchalantly, "Its real. I am only calling. You are not dreaming. Nothing happened. In the past, for a few hours. At home." There was dead silence on the other end of the line before the call disconnected.

Within few seconds a doorbell was heard. "I will get the door. Its Surthi." Seetha sounded so sure even before opening the door. The moment the door was opened, Seetha was attacked with a big bear hug. Seetha was expecting this. She just placed her hands around the girl's waist and returned her hug.

It took some time for Sruthi to calm herself down, "You... you did you get hurt in the head or something?? Why did you say something stupid in the call?" She bitted her.

Seetha and her family agreed to let Sruthi in on their secret. Sruthi was not considered as an outsider. They thought of her as their family. If something similar happened in the future, Sruthi will be able to cover for her in college.

After learning the truth, Sruthi had the same dumb look on her face like her brothers. It can't be helped that reaction was expected.

She took a deep breath before saying, "Past or future, no matter where you are you will always be my friend! Nothing can change that! If my help is needed in anything, please do tell me, I will be your backup!"

Her rea.s.suring words made Seetha confident. What more will a person need in their life apart from a warm and lovely family and a close friend whom you can always count. After all Sruthi played a huge role in making her disappearance stay hidden in the college. So that there won't be a problem for her when she returns.

Seetha chatted happily with her friend, ignorant of what was awaiting her!
