Beast God 8 Chapter 8

Although she smiled at Ben, it sent s.h.i.+vers down his back.

'Okay, so lets not taunt the all powerful woman next time. Okay Bennett? Idiot.'

Scolding himself in his heart, Ben tried to look compose on the outside.

"Oh the little boy has a pair all of sudden. I wonder if he will be this c.o.c.ky after my test," she let out a small laugh, "if you survives that is."

Before Bennett could respond he was surrounded by a strong wind that lift him off the ground and sent him flying across the sky. Watching him go, she let out a small smile before turning to Duke.

"I guess you'll have to come to but you cant partic.i.p.ate. This is his test, not yours." With a wave of her hand, both her and Duke disappeared.

Though Ben was scared s.h.i.+tless at the beginning, he was thoroughly enjoy himself. Flying through the air was a delightful experience that he couldn't get enough of, but it ended all to soon.

Ben flew over mountains and ended up over the ocean.

'She's not going to make me swim and fight sharks right?'

Ben saw a speck of land, an island no bigger than a square kilometer. It was covered in thick forest with a small clearing in the middle that looked like a tiny lake. Ben felt himself being lowered towards the island and before he could cry out in protest he crashed into the tiny lake.

Ben swam to the surface and took a large breath of air. Quickly swimming to the sh.o.r.e where the mysterious lady was waiting for him. He shot her a glare as he dragged his wet and sore body of the water.

"Oh did that hurt?" she asked innocently.

Ignoring her question, Ben asked his own, "What is the test?"

She smiled and opened her arms wide looking around, "I created this island and filled it with demonic beast and other humans. They are all stronger than you, all more ruthless than you, and all want to kill you." she paused as if to add dramatic effect, "your goal is simple. Survive for 7 days or kill them all. Whichever comes first."

Ben's eye gave a slight twitch. 'Oh is that all?'

"Fine, lets start." he said, not wanting to waste time.

"Oh and one more thing. Your mutt stays with me. This is your test, not his." she said before her and Duke disappeared.

Ben closed his eyes and took a deep breath before letting it out. Opening his eyes he looked into the trees, trying to find his first victim.

Sitting on the stone throne, the large middle aged man let out a low chuckle, 'Little Green is always taking things to far, but this should be a good test for the brat.' he said to himself before speaking out loud, "Little Green."

A flash of green light appeared before him and what appeared was Little Green and Duke.

"Master," she said before kneeling. He waved off her gesture before asking, "What do you think of him?"

She thought about what she had witnessed over the last 3 weeks of watching this brat and grudgingly said, "He has potential."

"Hahaha," a booming laughter filled the room, "that he does. That he does."

He reached out in front of him, as if trying to grab something, and the s.p.a.ce seemed to distort and bend. Pulling his hand back, two round objects appeared in his hand.

"If he pa.s.ses your test, give him these. It's will be his reward." he said quietly.

"Master you cant be serious! These are the eyes of the Mekata race! The race is extinct and eyes like this are priceless! Let alone how powerful they are. He is just a brat from a trash planet! Why waste such a precious resource on him!" cried out in protest. This brat had potential, yes. But these were Mekata eyes! Once hailed as the strongest eyes in the universe!

"Little Green you should know something. I am from that trash planet." the mans voice had a cold edge to it.

Little Green broke out in a cold sweat before falling to her knees and slamming her head to the ground. "I'm sorry master! Please punish me!" she cried out, not daring to lift her head.

Not giving it a second thought the man said, "Forget it, you're not the first to call it that and you wont be the last." Letting out a long tired breath the man asked Little Green, "Do you know how I acquired these eyes?"

Little Green was still kneeling with her head down, she didn't answer and only shook her head, not daring to speak.

"They belonged to my friend. He was one of the few Mekata race that survived the attack. He was being hunted for his eyes like all of his people were. He came to me in secret and I offered him protection and anything I could. He turned me down. He was tired and exhausted, he watched his race slaughtered to extinction. He had no will to live anymore." a sad look appeared on the man's face, "I begged him to not to do it but in the end he killed himself."

If Little Green could see her master right now, she see a tear rolling down his face.

"Before he killed himself he gave me his eyes, saying to give them to someone who will use them to protect his people, because he was unable to protect his." he stopped and looked at Little Green again, "Supreme has called a council. I'm sure it is about Earth. Though I am powerful I wont be allowed to interfere too much with his decision. I'm betting on this brat to impress him."

Little Green's entire body was shaking.

'Master is putting all his hopes on that brat!? I shouldn't have put him on that island!'
