Beast God 54 Generals Return

The following day the three divisions from the south returned to the city. The soldiers looked worn out and dirty from the constant battles. Ben told the soldiers to go home and rest because the invasion would take place tomorrow.

What surprised Ben was his three generals, all of them were riding a beast.

Colton was riding a large bear covered in red fur that seem to give off heat and s.h.i.+mmer the air around it.

Colton had his chest out, proud as a peac.o.c.k for taming such a strong beast. He met the beast outside a dormant volcano that seemed to have appeared after the system. Colton challenged it to a contest of strength, in which he barely won and Freddy has been following him since.

Lilith was sitting on a large white horse with a spiraled horn in the middle of its forehead.

'Unicorn…' Ben thought.

Countless legends and myths had mentioned unicorns but today he had seen one with his own eyes.

But the most surprising had to be Shenelle. She was riding a ma.s.sive green snake that had to be 10m long and almost a meter in diameter.

Though the green snake was huge and shocking, Ben soon saw something on Shenelle's shoulder that made his mouth drop. A tiny human figure with green wings and hair sat on her shoulder looking around curiously.

'Wood Spirit? Soul Spirit?'

Ben had never heard of either of these terms.

A large amount of wind caused some dust to whirl around Ben. Ava and Takon both landed next to Ben. Ava held her head up high, pride obvious on her face but her eyes kept looking at Ben for compliments. Takon laid on the ground and closed his eyes.

Walking up to Ava, Ben patted her side and said, "Thank you for your help Ava." He then looked over at the sleeping Takon, "You too Takon."

Takon opened one eye and gave a slight nod before touching Ben's hand and returned to Ben's soul realm.

Ben turned back towards the three generals, he noticed that their tamed beast were fearfully looking at Ava. Ben gave her a pat before she returned to his soul realm.

"Looks like you all had a successful journey and you all tamed a beast. The others will be jealous." Ben grinned at the thought of James and Lane seeing these tamed beasts. "Especially you Shenelle. Would you mind introducing me to the lovely lady on your shoulder?"

The Wood Spirit stood up from Shenelle's shoulder and flew over to Ben. She flew around him and inspected him from head to toe.

"He's a strong one Ellie! No wonder you follow him." A tiny feminine voice rang out.

"h.e.l.lo there, I'm Ben." Ben introduced himself.

"I'm Fyr. Ellie's soul spirit." Fyr said with a giggle.

"Ellie?" Ben smirked and looked over at Shenelle. The usually proud and strong girl had a light blush on her cheeks as she shot an anger look at Fyr.

'What's a soul spirit Ava?' Ben asked, generally curious.

'Spirit's are born from high concentrations of energy. Depending on the type of energy determines what kind of spirit is born. This spirit was obviously born from a concentration of wood energy. Being a Nature Mage, the spirit was probably drawn to Shenelle and formed an contract with her, becoming her soul spirit.' Ava explained. She too was shocked when she first saw the little spirit.

"Nice to meet you Fyr. You have met Takon and Ava, they are my soul beasts and partners." Ben said to Fyr.

"The Divine Beast? She wasn't friendly at all! Mean bird brain!" Fyr said childishly, sticking her tongue out angrily.

'Bird brain? BIRD BRAIN!' Ava roared in Ben's head almost causing him to grab his head in pain.

Ava appeared in front of the everyone, black flames rose off her body giving her a frightening appearance.

'What did the little spirit call me?' Ava looked down at Fyr, her anger apparent.

Seeing Ava, Fyr flew back and hid behind Shenelle.

"Ellie the bird brain is scary! Beat her up!" Fyr said as she continued to hide behind Shenelle.

Hearing Fyr, the black flames around Ava burned even stronger, causing the people around her to back away in pain.

"Ava stop." Ben smiled, finding the whole thing funny.

"Fyr be nice!" Shenelle said as she grimaced.

Fyr puffed out her cheeks angrily and pouted, shooting dirty looks towards Ava. The flames around Ava had grew smaller but she still glared at Fyr.

"Colton I have some weapons being sent to your division. Equip them to your elites. Shenelle you and Colton have some new recruits but be careful. They might be stronger than you." Ben said as he petted Ava, trying to calm her down.

They both looked at Ben in confusion.

"We found some survivors when we went up north, four of them. Two will join your division Colton and the other one hasn't decided to join your division yet Shenelle but I hope he does. He is very strong." Ben explained.

"Don't worry. I think you will find all of us have increased our strength tremendously." Shenelle said confidently.

"I hope so. Tomorrow will be the start of a tough battle." Ben said. He started to walk away before stopping and turning back towards the 3 generals. "Make sure to send money for the families of the dead."

All three nodded solemnly, the had all lost soldiers in this expedition.

"Lilith your tamed beast is very powerful. Good job." Ben shot Lilith a smile. Duke had to evolve twice before becoming a rare beast while Lilith's beast was already a rare beast.

"Thank you City Lord." Lilith said proudly, patting the unicorn's neck.

The unicorn gave a light whiny as she stared at Ava, still a little cautious of her.
