If it wasn't for Beverly she would be enjoying life with her husband, after all, they had been in love since high school. Now, Ryan hates her. Her in-laws are pestering Brandon for more children. And the doctors say she couldn't carry more. If they succeeded, that would mean loosing her man twice in one life. She would never allow that, it would be over her dead body.
Ryan was her hold on him, he was obedient and intelligent, now he doesn't want to see her, what could she possibly do? She decided since Beverly was dead, Carl would have to pay for her sins. So she immediately asked the men watching Carl about him, she found out he lived with an orphan. Knowing Carl, he probably liked her. If he didn't, he would have moved out after getting a job.
Her plan was to make him loose his job and the girl he liked. So instead of mending her ways and trying to fix her relations.h.i.+p with her son, she got on a plane to State A.
Arriving in City A, she wasn't aware of the take over by the Stan group, she tried to force her way into the CEO'S office to demand Carl to be kicked out. She was humiliated when the young CEO, Chamberlain called security on her. She tried threatening him as someone from the capital. After all, what could a local firm in City A be capable of?
"Do you know who I am? Do you know what family I come from?" She kept screaming at the top of her voice. Carl was not even aware of the situation as he was seated in his cubicle working.
"We don't care who you are, seeing you act like this, it's clear that you're a fraudster from the lower province." The first security man stated, pulling her away.
She lost form as an honourable wife from an aristocratic family. She was like a tout with her disheveled appearance, screaming at the top of her lungs. Her rage blinded her, she couldn't see the consequences of her behaviour, unknown to her someone took a video of her act and posted it online.
As she did not succeed in making Carl loose his job, she went further to plan B. She got into the car prepared for her to Madam George's restaurant. Since it wasn't a five-star restaurant, it was definitely below her but as her purpose was more important, she endured and sat down by the window.
A waiter went forward to attend to her, ignoring his question she asked in a condescending tone, "Is there a Kim Sanders here?"
The waiter didn't think much and gave her a positive reply. Hearing his reply, her eyes glistered with mischief. "Get her here."
The waiter went towards to open kitchen and told Kim there was a woman there for her. Since Kim didn't know many people, much more a rich person, she was surprised. Still she went to her seat
"h.e.l.lo." She greeted meekly. " I was told you asked for me." She added.
Judith observed her with a scrutinizing gaze. 'So this is the orphan girl.' she scoffed. "Have a seat." Kim did not like her gaze but she complied and sat opposite Judith.
"I'm just a concerned citizen and as a mother I wouldn't want my child to live with a rapist." She spoke matter-of-factly.
Kim scrunched up her brows in confusion. "What do you mean?" She asked. Not sure where Judith was taking the conversation to.
"The young man you live with raped me." She stated blatantly.
Kim stared at her in disbelief. Then her gaze turned aggressive. She was about refute the woman before her when Judith spoke up.
"You might not believe it, but if you're perceptive enough, you'll know he's from a wealthy family. Did he tell you that? ... Well I guess not, he was kicked out of the house for his crime against me and as he's from a wealthy family, he was not imprisoned, just to save the family name." Judith said with a brittle voice.
"If I may ask, who are you?" Kim questioned in suspicion. The lady before her had an aura she didn't like. She was indeed beautiful but she felt uncomfortable, she couldn't place her hands on it. One minute her tone was condescending, the next brittle. It was like she was hiding something and was up to no good. Of course she didn't fall for her pitiable performance earlier. If anything, she could see she was a proud person, she was trying to hide it under a pitiable facade. Judith gave her an unsettling feeling.
"It's not important. I just came to pa.s.s on the message to you besides, as a young lady, though an orphan, should you really be living with an unknown man?" Judith said in a monotonous voice. Her eyes still haughty.
Kim wanted to retort but Judith was right, she didn't know anything about Carl.
Seeing her lost in thought, Judith a.s.sumed she was successful in planting a seed of doubt, so she got up, leaving Kim in a daze.
Kim soon realized the lady was long gone so she went back to the kitchen.
