Time Setting: Modern Day

Place Setting: Star Country

It was originally two countries that became one. As far back as a thousand year ago. It's a confederation. It's divided into 10 states and the Federal Capital Territory(FCT).

The FCT is divided into districts, the districts are ranked by colours; White District is for government which indicates transparency and purity, Black District indicates the Military (wherever they are found even in the states), Gold District indicates the Aristocratic families, wealth and royalty. Silver District indicates the Merchant Families, the Middle Cla.s.s is the Blue District, Lower Cla.s.s is the Green district and finally the Suburbs is indicated as the Red District.

The 10 states are divided into cities, the cities have three provinces, the Upper, middle and lower provinces.

The lower cla.s.s can move freely, they can go to the White and even Gold district, they can also go to the Upper provinces but they wouldn't be able to afford transportation, food and housing, so they remain at the Lower provinces.

Politics

The Star country is a confederation, therefore; 30% of the revenue generated by the states are allocated to the "weak center" that is the FCT. There are over Twenty political parties but there are two main political parties; The Democratic Party and the Republican People Party. 70% of the government is made up of the Aristocratic families and Merchant families. And 30% of the government is for the Upper, Middle, Lower cla.s.ses; 10% each. This 30% is mainly in the form of City mayors and local government councils. Election to select the ruler of the FCT/Central government is done rotationally. State A provides all candidates; citizens of Star country must vote for one of the candidates selected by State A, who will then rule for 4 years. After that, State B, State C and so on until it gets back to State A.

Armed Forces

Each state has it's own police, the police is loyal to each state first before the Central government. Only citizens of a state can join the state police.

As for the Military/Black District, they are only loyal to the country/Central government. Anyone can join the military as long as you meet the requirements.

Justice System

Each state has courts but the Supreme Court is located at the FCT. The National legislature is made up 200 persons; 20 persons from each state; 10 from the Aristocratic and Merchant families, 10 for the Upper, Middle and Lower cla.s.ses to ensure fairness. The state legislature is determined by the states, one person from each city.
