His voice boomed out for all to hear, the expressions on the small army in front of me, was one of determination and disgust. They wanted nothing more than to kill me. And right now, for me, I wanted nothing more than to kill them.
My eyes fixated on the 2 people that stood atop the dais and waited to hear their blather. What was interesting as I looked at the 2 was the fact that the woman with green hair was showing me a smile. I couldn't see her full face because of her hood, but she looked happy that I was here.
"Did you think we would not realize when you broke into our home!"
My eyes flickered, he knew from the start?
"We were immediately notified when an intruder broke through our walls and we knew you were coming!"
Was there a barrier I pa.s.sed which notified them, or was it something else?
"We are prepared and you shall not escape our justice for your crimes!"
I threw the unnecessary thoughts to the side; I was going to kill them all anyways, them being prepared or not will not save them.
"You have committed the high crime of taking the life of an exalted Elf!!"
He raised his head to look at the sky and had a teary expression, as if what I had done was such a sad thing. I almost thought he would actually start to cry just thinking of the dead elves, when he continued.
"For such a lowly creature to kill one of our kind, is treason of the highest kid!"
He stared back at me with a menacing expression and the army also started to shout out at me.
"Treason!"
"Heretic!"
"Unforgivable!"
"Repent!"
They started to make a ruckus that almost drowned out the head elf's prepared speech. Leon then turned his head towards Ella, who was standing next to me with her bow.
"You have even a.s.sociated yourself with such a disgusting, tainted creature!"
"Kill the tainted!"
"Purify the lands!"
"Cleanse the forest of such filth!"
My fist gripped tighter as my anger got higher.
"You shall have no repentance! Not even if you beg will you and that taint be spared! Be strangled by the roots of the great tree for eternity, for your transgressions!!!"
"Death to the HERETIC!!!!"
Leon was done with his speech and motioned around himself. The elves taking the queue, got ready to attack us. I sent a quick metal message to Ella to tell her who to aim for, before I sprinted out.
Even in such a situation, where I was facing a small army of elves, I didn't lose my clam. I wasn't scared of them at this point and I was sure my frozen rage was forcible making me calm. My mind actually had enough calm to think about other things.
For instance at this point in time all I was thinking about was, what was the point? I mean in the speech. In the end if I hadn't actually gotten the elf language book drops from the elf mages, I wouldn't have understood them at all.
I almost wanted to laugh at the fact they had no way of knowing if I could understand them and this Leon person had spent a certain amount of time making a speech to me.
"Hahaha."
I actually started to laugh out loud as I made my way closer.
"Rose, stop him with the treants! That's your only job! Give time for our archers and mages!"
Leon started to shout orders to the mage next to him and I finally got to know the name of the Summoner. He was shouting so loud I could hear his plans to attack. As I had though, these elves had no melee cla.s.ses. If I could just get close it would be a slaughter.
Honestly this commander was pretty stupid for screaming out his tactics.
"Take out as many as you can, don't die!"
I sent those words back to Kuro as I went forwards. She was still angry over what she had seen in the store room, like I was. She would kill the elves with all she's got.
After shouting out towards the Summoner, Rose, Leon pulled out his own mage staff and started to chant. He was my main priority, as he would have the highest level here. I hadn't checked them all but the commander should have the highest level.
Rose raised her hands and I saw the treants start to converge onto me. She still had that smile on her face and my instincts told me something. I ran closer and closer to the treants, that were in my way and watched as they pulled their arms back to attack.
But I trusted my instincts and didn't go to attack them, something about that malicious smile Rose was sending my way told me all I needed to know.
*Whoosh*
The arms that had come to punch me flew right by as I continued to sprint on, the fists had no intention of hitting me in the first place. A grin broke out on my face, as I was only 10 meters away from the front lines now.
The elves watching me rush right by the treants had horror written on their faces and hastily pulled back their bows. They had wanted to hit me while I was preoccupied, but now they had to rush their shots.
*Tw.a.n.g!*
"What!!!"
Leon screamed out as he saw me rush past the treants and sent his furious glance at Rose. The bows in front of me tw.a.n.ged, as arrows zoomed in to take my life. I was still calm even at this point as the arrows that zoomed in started to slow down and fall out of the air.
*Tw.a.n.g*
An arrow from behind me went out a skewered 2 elves and I knew that Ella had started her attack. The arrows in front had completely frozen solid, as my ice ability had activated. It wasn't noticeable when I was standing next to Ella, as both of our abilities basically canceled each other out. But as I moved further and further away, the air around me started to freeze.
The arrows were being frozen before they could get to me, and my confidence grew, their bows were useless!
*Tw.a.n.g*
*Tw.a.n.g*
*Tw.a.n.g*
More sounds came from behind and multiple arrows flew over me to take elf lives. I still was locked on to the dais, as I was only meters away from the front lines, with elves starting to panic.
Leon had stopped his chanting, as Rose moved to throw a punch at him. He dodged the blow and then sent a back hand at her face. She wasn't a good fighter as she didn't even get a chance to dodge before she was. .h.i.t backwards and knocked over.
Her hood was knocked off and I finally got to see her full face.
"HAHAAH!"
She was laughing manically as a small cut was above her eye. I could see the green blood that flowed out of the cut. But she didn't care about that, as she continued to laugh as her face twisted.
"d.a.m.n Slave!"
Leon shouted out again as he went in to attack her. The treants at this point had turned around and I could see them starting to attack different parts of the elf army. She was helping me, and she was a slave!
I thought back to the living conditions that I had found before and knew why she was trying to help me. Being treated like that, there is no way she would be helping the elves.
I finally reached the elves in the front line and they couldn't even run before my ice field reached them. Their speed decreased and it became a slaughter, as I slashed left and right.
"Argh!"
"Urgh!"
"NO!"
"The Mother Tre.."
"Heret.."
"b.a.s.t.a.r.d!"
Many screamed out as I made my way deeper and deeper into the formation, I was killing dozens as I moved forwards. Blood was splas.h.i.+ng out as my blade ripped through their bones with ease.
As I moved on, the ground beneath me suddenly trembled, and my danger perception burst out, I immediately jumped forwards and barreled through a few people.
I looked behind me as a big spike exploded from where I had been standing. I frowned as I looked at its sharpened edge and glared at the back lines of the army. It consisted of mages and I would have trouble reaching them.
My danger perception burst out again and I moved as fast as I could.
*Bang*
*Bang*
*Bang*
*Bang*
*Bang*
*Bang*
I sprinted with all my might as more spikes exploded out over and over, I swiped my sword when I could to take elf lives, but I was having trouble and being herded away from the mages.
'Ella, take out the mages!'
I sent a quick message as I continued to move. I would have to have her take care of them. I would aim for the commander. I set my sites to the leader, Leon, who had gone back to chanting. Rose who had been trying to help me, was being held down by some elves that had come up to help their commander and was being restrained.
The treants that had been attacking the other elves had stopped moving and weren't helping, she couldn't control them anymore. As they had stopped moving the elves took the chance to take them down and they were falling quick. It wouldn't be long before they could focus on us.
Kuro was moving off to the side and also taking down elves in a quick speed. She had leveled up enough that she could handle them and I saw her blade s.h.i.+ne brightly with her Weapon master skills. I snapped back to attention and continued to slaughter a path.
I wasn't sure what Leon was casting, but it wouldn't be anything good. It would be the best to stop him.
"Argh!"
"Stop him!"
"Block his path!"
"Where is the mage support?"
"They're being shot down!"
"Then take out the tainted archer!"
"All the arrows we fire at it, burn up before reaching them!"
"d.a.m.n it!"
I pushed my rage to the limit and let the ice ability run freely as I ran on, I didn't need to kill everyone now. I just had to freeze them as I ran by. If I got within 1 meter of them, I was pretty sure they would die.
"&^#@@#%#(@(*(@#(*"
Leon was chanting a long spell and my instincts told me to stop him right away, I wasn't the best shot but I pulled out a sword from my ring and threw it with all my might.
He showed a shocked look as the blade was going forwards and was about to stop chanting when a person jumped in front of him and stopped the blade. The martyr was instantly killed and Leon took a deep breath of relief.
I didn't give him another chance as I then pulled out 4 blades and threw them. His face turned even worse, as he had to dodge out of the way this time. He stopped his chant with gritted teeth and rolled to the side, my blades. .h.i.tting nothing.
Rolling to the side I watched as he spat out some blood and turned pale, stopping the chant must have hurt him. I smirked and continued on my way. We had killed over half of the small army by now and they were starting to panic.
Many rushed towards me to attack, but they were nothing without their bows.
