We organized ourselves and prepared to move down the tunnel. The last fight had made one thing clear; the kids wouldn't be able to fight these Rock t.i.tans. Their skin was so tough that we had trouble beating it without my control over ice.

They, unlike Ella and Rose, couldn't tap into my power. Without it they would be completely useless. Even if we tried to give them our weapons, our purple weapons couldn't cut their skin. They may have leveled up quite a bit since we found them, but this dungeon would have to be handled by us three.

I know it was a bit ruthless, but as my mind figured out this little fact it started to think of ways to use the children differently. We could use them to kite the monsters for example, the t.i.tans were slow and lumbering, if they were distracted them, we could take them down one by one, effectively clearing the area faster and in an efficient manner.

A small part of me didn't like the idea that I would be exploiting the children, but another part was urging me to do this. They knew the danger they would be in the future, something like this wouldn't be any different. But to do such a thing, would I be better than a slaver forcing them to do such a thing?

No.

I had to draw a line between myself and people like them. If I were to lose myself like that what would have been the point in all I've done till now? I had come and gone past this before, why was I even asking?

I will give them a choice; their own determination would be tested.

My mind shuttled through these thoughts as we moved and jumped over the small lava streams. After a short few seconds we were at the end of the cavern and were heading through the entrance that led downwards.

I could tell that the dungeon was heading downwards from the slope we were traveling on, the ground was slightly t.i.tled, but it was barley noticeable. The mountain was such a huge behemoth to begin with, and now it was spreading out even further down underground. I started to wonder how big the mountain truly was.

We kept quiet as the tunnel we moved through narrowed but gave enough room for a Rock t.i.tan to move through. The heat that was radiating from below was reaching new heights and I lamented the gear we were wearing once again.

Finally the next cavern came into sight. Peeking out again, the same type of cavern stretched before me. In this one the temperature was higher and the streams of lava more abundant. With the extra heat it was no wonder that there were more Rock t.i.tans moving about.

Their gargantuan bodies pounded the ground and made it shake slightly. I made a quick count of the room. It was bigger than the last. In the end I counted 8 of them ambling about; I could only keep peeking for a little while as one of them was close to the entrance.

Because of their big bodies, 8 of them in the room didn't leave a lot of room to work with. I was sure that if I attacked one of them I would attract the others. It wasn't looking good.

Now I wasn't stupid enough to believe that we could take them all at the same time, I wasn't even sure if my other plan to use the children would work. I mean if there were 3-4 of them I would use the kids to distract the others before finis.h.i.+ng them one by one.

But with 8 I would have to think. I may not have played a lot of games when I was a kid, but I did have some knowledge of them. And there was one perfect way to deal with this situation. I would have to draw one of them to us.

What was the name of the strategy? Honestly I couldn't remember, good old divide and conquer would do. This brought out a new problem though.

I had a quick look at the tunnel that we were in. If I were to draw one of the monsters over, we would have to fight in this tunnel. As I had noted before it could fit a t.i.tan in it, but just barely. It wasn't well designed, it really should have been able to fit 2 rock t.i.tans at a time, but instead it could only accommodate one.

That was a good and bad thing, with the amount of room we had, I wouldn't have to worry about more than one coming at a time, but then we also couldn't get around its huge body and attack from behind.

We would have to face the creature head on, not to mention there was less room to dodge. But compared to facing 8 of them, I would rather take this chance.

Ella and Rose knew what I was thinking so they also started to look around the tunnel we were in. We had to be careful with what we attacked him with, if the tunnel was to collapse, we could be trapped in or buried under the rubble.

Though I think the tunnel wall strength should be high, this was a dungeon after all, it would be too easy to just destroy a tunnel and everything would go to s.h.i.+t.

I quickly turned my spirit eyes on to have a look. Like I had thought there was a thin layer of mana that radiated from the wall. The whole thing was glowing with the power that was behind it. If I was to hazard a guess the mana would strengthen the walls so that they wouldn't collapse.

But even then looking at the mana that was behind the wall, if enough force and pressure was applied it would fall apart and crumble.

Finished with a.s.sessing our options and quickly coming up with a plan I turned to the rest of the group and explained. Hunter knew what I was thinking pretty fast while the kids took their time. But once they got the general idea they moved back. I didn't tell them about my other plans for them in the future, those could be discussed latter.

Once they moved back I motioned to Rose and pointed to the closest Rock t.i.tan. Giving me a small nod she gripped her hand and a piece of rock the size of a soccer ball appeared. With another wave of her hand she threw it close to the monster.

*Crack*

It crumbled on impact but created enough noise. The Rock t.i.tan that had his back turned to us slowly turned around and moved closer. I waved my hand again and another ball went flying.

*Bang*

It exploded again and the monster slowly started to amble towards our direction. I thanked my lucky stars that these things were extremely stupid and prepared myself.
