The rogue was distracted as we made our move.

*Pak*

The earth spike exploded from the ground looking to pin her in the stomach. Through my spirit vision I could see their body start from surprise before she jumped backwards. Her movement was instantaneous and so fast that it shocked me. Mid step I almost stumbled but quickly corrected myself.

I wasn't expecting her to move so fast, just that one move showed home much agility she had. It was definitely higher than what Ella or I had.

Jumping back her stealth wore off and I finally got a look at the person. I could just see her face under her hood and saw the shock in her eyes. She definitely didn't think we would be able to find her. I could tell she was a girl; her armour conformed to her body enough to see her body curve.

My legs lost a bit of speed as I looked at the armour she was wearing. She reached up for her EPC and quickly input a message before staring at us, prepared for battle. I was distracted by the gear she was wearing.

The leather gear she wore was menacing, it was a combination of leather and metal that tightly fit her body. The metal covered all of her vital points while the leather let her move freely. On the breast plate that covered her chest I could see the emblem of a man.

This wasn't normal gear, it looked specialized but at the same time standardized. It felt like I was looking at military armour that many could wear if they were specialized in a certain area. I could tell from one look that the materials used in her gear were good.

Ella and Rose stood beside me after I stopped. They could sense my worry as I looked at our opponent. While we were starring each other down her eyes flashed and I knew she used a.n.a.lyze, she reached for her EPC as she started writing.

Her eyes ran over Rose, then me and her hand stopped when she reached Ella. Her look turned to one of utter shock and surprise, before I saw terror appear in her eyes. This was the first emotions I could see from this person.

Her use of a.n.a.lyze had reminded me though, as I used a.n.a.lyze right back at her.

Name: ???

Race: Human

s.e.x: Female

Age: ??

Level: ??

Cla.s.s: ???, ???, ???

"Ohh s.h.i.+t."

I mumbled to myself quietly. The fact I couldn't see her level or cla.s.ses scared me. This meant she was at least 5 levels higher than me, and looking at her gear once again, I had reason to believe it was even higher.

While I used a.n.a.lyze she had once again started typing on her EPC this time in a faster manner, her eyes locked on Ella. A bad feeling was starting to build in my mind.

I couldn't give her more time.

'Ella, Rose stay here and support'

I sent that message to them before running in. I couldn't be careless with this fight; she was obviously an anomaly here. I shouldn't be fighting her at my level.

She backed off as we tried to close in on her; now that she didn't have to hide it was clear how much AGI she had. She was making it look effortless to run away from us, she wasn't even concentrating on the attacks Ella and Rose were throwing her way. She was still looking down at her EPC waiting for something.

In the next few seconds even though I was far away I heard a little beeping noise. Her face grimaced as she read the message and then looked back up at us. Her eyes went past me and locked on to Ella. I could see the killing intent in her eyes, but I could still see her terror.

She finally stopped and I started to close in on her, my mind told me all the useful things about Master Infiltrators that I knew, it wasn't much but it would help. Going through all the information I stopped running at her and called for Ella through our connection. I would need her help here.

As I stopped the woman finally stopped repressing her aura and let it burst out, doing that she then started to run towards me. Warning bells went off in my mind as my danger perception went off the scales.

This was bad!

My eyes sharpened as I focused in on her advancing figure. Her eyes had finally locked onto me; she was going to finish me off first, as I was closer. Her AGI eclipsed all I had seen before and she would be on me in seconds.

Just as she was 10 meters away her steps changed and I blinked. The next second she was gone, my breath heightened as I lost sight of my target, I knew what cla.s.s she was and where she would turn up after disappearing.

In the milliseconds after she disappeared I had to make a choice, rogues were known for their 'Back Stab' and one other skill. I could survive the back stab, probably. But I wouldn't be able to make it out from the other skill.

Steeling my mind and preparing for the pain if I was wrong I instantly dropped the sword in my hand and raised my hands. I positioned them just above my throat. The second after I raised my hands I felt a metal go taunt around them as it cut into my hands.

The force behind the pull was too great, I couldn't help but be forced backwards, slamming into the chest of my a.s.sailant. She had turned up behind me and had a garrote wire over my neck.

It was the second skill that infiltrators got, and was enhanced when they reached master infiltrator. They wire was sharp and did huge damage to unsuspecting targets. If I didn't know that she had the skill my neck would have instantly been sliced from that one move.

I pushed away with all my strength but it was no use, I was still being strangled by her strength. It was leagues above mine. My back crashed into her breast plate and I heard my bones creak under the pressure, the force of the pull was no joke.

I was slightly hoping that with that amount of strength she might have thrown me over her at the same time but she controlled herself. I was pinned there, her breath wetting my neck. I struggled with my all but it was no use, if I didn't do something I would die.

I reached out to Ella through our connection and saw that she was close; I had to distract this person till she got here. I gathered 'Demonic Kiss' In my hands and tried to use that to break down the wire, but it was no use. I couldn't get my teeth down to the metal to bite through it, but I wasn't sure that would work either way.

'Demonic Kiss' was the evolution of the growth skill, so it should have been the same either way. I flailed my legs around to try and shake her but it was no use, she knew what she was doing.

My hands where a b.l.o.o.d.y mess by now and I was gasping for breath, thankfully the wire couldn't cut through my bones.

I reconfirmed Ella's position and calmed down, I shouldn't panic. I kept my strength up so I wasn't instantly killed and talked to Rose. I had to time this attack perfectly.

I suddenly heard a sweet voice enter my ear, it was low and cold.

"For such a being of humanity to work with a demon. Die!"
