(Liam PoV)

I fixed the strap on my back and checked the sword at my side. Ella and Rose flanked me as we walked out of the library. I gave it one last look as I walked out the doors and watched the door we just walk through disappear.

I shook my head and looked at Ella. Knowing what I was thinking she pointed to the left.

"Down that way. I can smell a few of them now."

I nodded my head and we moved out quickly. With our increase in AGI we were flying over the wrecked cars and debris that were around. But after spending 2-3 months indoors it really was a shock coming out. The once metal dominated city looked like a d.a.m.n jungle as we traversed it. All the buildings were overgrown with foliage, trees and plants. The once technological civilization was no more.

We rushed quietly through the area Ella directing our way through every obstacle; it wasn't long before I finally heard the sound of clas.h.i.+ng metal and shouting. In another 20 seconds we saw the group fighting.

We crept up slowly to look at the spectacle before us. There were 10 on each side, men and woman. One side had more melee professions while the other had more mages. At the front of each group there were 2 centurions.

I had the fortune of reading a cla.s.s book in the library. It wasn't a big book, but it gave me detailed descriptions and pictures of the main cla.s.ses that a person could get. With that knowledge I could tell that 1 side had 2 centurions, 4 mages, 2 warriors and 2 rouges. The other side had 2 centurions, 2 mages, 4 warriors, 1 druid and 1 rogue.

We watched quietly as they fought. We could hear their conversation from here; I wasn't close enough to see their level. But from the looks of it none of them reached level 20.

(Angry Player PoV)

Freddie couldn't believe it. Of course the 'Daylight' Guild was here. And if they were here, that definitely meant they were after the same item as them. He pulled out his s.h.i.+eld and got into a combat stance, the mages behind him also preparing to battle.

They had more mages on their side, meaning this would be a hard fight. Thankfully for us, we had a druid that could give out heals. It was harder than expected to drink a health potion in the middle of a battle, so cla.s.ses that could give heals, were a necessity in fights involving player vs player (PvP).

If they had been fighting a boss, maybe it would have been possible to rotate the agro of the monster and heal that way. Freddie lamented in his head, their bad luck for running into them and shook his head, the sword in his hand ready to battle.

"Well looky what we have here. A bunch of 'Danger' Trash. What are you doing around these parts?"

Freddie said nothing as the other group also started to prepare for battle, they all knew what was at stake in this town, none would give ground.

"Why don't you scram for this daddy, and tell your guild leader to back down. Like the good dog he is."

2 of the people on the 'Danger' guilds side blew up in anger at these words. It was one thing if the guild leader of 'Daylight' talked to their guild leader face to face and said that. It was completely different when supposedly one of the captains said such a thing.

"You son of a b.i.t.c.h!"

A girl voice sounded from Freddie's right. She was the other centurion in the group and she had just dashed forwards. Freddie let out a sigh in his head and then charged forwards as well; Jail breaker would be the end of him.

Jail breaker was the name of the person that just rushed forwards. She was hot headed at the best of times and right now she was madly das.h.i.+ng forwards.

"Attack!"

Freddie's tough voice sounded out from behind her as they clashed with the other team's centurions, their s.h.i.+elds creating sc.r.a.pping sounds. He had to keep an eye out for any incoming magic attacks as he had to intercept any if he could.

*Crash*

*Bang*

Freddie swung his sword into the s.h.i.+eld of his opponent and watched closely as he was countered, he let the blade that was incoming glace off his s.h.i.+eld to throw his opponent off balance, and it worked. He tried to quickly stab into the unprotected side that presented itself, but his opponent was good.

He used the moment of falling forwards to s.h.i.+eld bashed his sword away, the enemy sword was coming in to end his life, as he was disorientated from the blow, but a fire ball from behind caught the person unaware.

*Bang*

The ball exploded on the sword hand making the man drop his sword and scream in pain. Freddie quickly recovered and struck down his opponent. Celebrating his kill for a second Freddie looked up and quickly raised his s.h.i.+eld.

*Boom*

*Boom*

"Argh!"

"Daylight b.a.s.t.a.r.ds!"

2 magic attacks. .h.i.t his s.h.i.+eld and forced him back as he heard a shriek come from besides him, 'Jail breaker' was being besieged by the rest of the enemy team. 2 rogues were surrounding her and cutting into her back.

Freddie quickly rushed over to keep their advantage, it would be a tough fight ahead.

(Liam PoV)

1 of the teams finally won after a protracted battle, the centurion of 1 team got killed off quickly and the 'Danger' guild won the fight. They still had some casualties, when the 2 rogues slipped behind and kill off 2 of the mages, but they pulled through.

In the end the druid, rogue, both centurions and a mage survived. They were just clearly better in battle, coming out with 5 people.

Seeing that everything had settled they relaxed their guards and sat down to rest. I nodded towards Rose, I needed some information.

Rose understood what I wanted and raised her hands.

*Pak*

*Pak*

*Pak*

*Pak*

*Pak*

5 Earth spikes exploded from the ground and impaled the legs of the whole team.

"Argh!"

"G.o.d!"

"s.h.i.+t!"

Their screams came out as we slowly walked out to talk to them. By now I had figured out they were players, I didn't need to be careful about how I treated them.

*************************

(Soon to be scared Player PoV)

We had just finished the battle; it was hard fought, but relatively easy in the end. With heals and both tanks up, we were able to pick them off one by one. We did lose 3 people from the team, but it was acceptable.

I sat down tired from all the fighting, I didn't think about it before starting the game, but the fatigue that you face while playing is no joke. Maybe not so much the physical but the mental strain in battle was like nothing I had experienced before.

We had all just sat down to recover, when giant earth spikes came from the ground, none of us had time to respond as we all were impaled on the spot, each of our legs bleeding from the large protrusions.

"Argh!"

I screamed out in pain as I tried to move my body, but if I wriggled around I was more likely to rip my whole leg off. I started to sweat hard as the pain impacted me. We couldn't drop the settings below 50% pain and it was killing me right now, it felt like my leg was on fire.

As we all screamed in pain and looked for who had done this too us, a new group appeared over a small bit of debris. Once they came out and we could see them, we all froze. We all knew who they were, and honestly as I looked at them coming towards us, dread crept up into my heart.

The group of 3 slowly got closer and closer as our group didn't say a word. One was a brown skinned beauty that had green hair; we all knew that she was the one that impaled our legs just now. Her eyes went over us before showing a look of disinterest, we were nothing to her.

The other beauty was a pale skinned woman, her silver hair and white eyes were striking as she flanked the man in the middle. The coldness that radiated from her eyes as mine caught hers, made my body lock up.

The pressure that was radiating out of her locked us down and put our bodies under a pressure we had never felt. Behind those eyes that looked at us was an undisguised hatred that ran deep. She wanted to kill us right now.

And finally being flanked by these two people was a youth. He stood at a good height with a muscular body, his skin wasn't too pale or tanned and his beard a bit messy. One of his eyes was a white color, while the other was green.

There was a scar over his left eye as well as other marks that could just be seen on his body. His aura wasn't as bad as the silver haired girl, but it still weighed on people, almost unconsciously on his part.

n.o.body said a word and their footsteps where all that could be heard as they stopped in front of our bleeding bodies. The man put on a smile.

"I've got some questions for you guys."

His eyes glowed slightly as my body once again s.h.i.+vered in fear.

"It would be great if you could answer them."

His smile grew wider.
