As night fell, only the glow of oil lamps shone from each house . There were few things to do for fun out in the countryside, so people went to bed early to get an early start .

“Eldest brother,” she greeted .
“Mm,” he grunted, straightway removing his clothes, putting out the lamp, and getting in bed .
