Elune was a little disappointed about the broken horns but they could still try and get a price for them as they were broken almost at the base of the head. Midori was able to complete her task with flying colors and they all got to work on getting the pelts and horns while Midori absorbed the carca.s.s of the Greater Kudus killed through poison and Rahz cook the Patriarch.

"I think is about time we head back, the auction should be a week away and we need to try to sell some of the gold coins from Master Chrysalis" Said Elune to the three people laying on the gra.s.s looking at the sky with a stalk in their mouths.

"Ok. We can go back after the skins are processed and ready to go"

The team had the process of cleaning and tanning the hides down to a science and all they need was time for things to take their course. This process took 3 days and in the meantime they hunted, ate and practice the skills left to them by their ancestor. Rahz was still not able to circulate his energy well enough to activate Warrior's Fury but it was something to be expected. Until now they had only used the skills provided by the G.o.ds where the basics were ingrain onto their bodies. It was for this reason that a person with a teacher had many advantages when learning new skills for a cla.s.s.

According to the most powerful individuals it was extremely important to keep evolving and creating their own path towards the apex. The most deadliest of experts were the ones that deviated from the regular path set by the G.o.ds.

Thanks to the pouch provided by master a.s.sa.s.sin Chrysalis transporting the materials required by the quest was a cinch. The moment they arrived to the Fair Lady a wave of gossip reached them.

There had been recent news about the Blood Harvester and apparently it had stroke again. Since the discovery of the corpse pit, the people of Naas had been keeping track of anything out of the ordinary and that mean that unlike before there was now more awareness and information about missing people.

The night before, a 10 year old kid left home to buy some cooking essentials for his mother and never came back home. The mother was devastated and had place a pretty hefty reward at the adventurer guild. The patrolling guards had also increased and there was even a guard recruitment sign that displayed great benefits for those willing to join them, many mercenaries had switched camps and answered the call of money.

In a dungeon somewhere in the great town of Naas… A kid around the age of 10 was finally regaining consciousness and found himself with both hands and feet cuffed to an iron table where he laid looking to bright ceiling lights.

"You are finally awake!! I thought I would have to wait another day for the sleeping powder to wear off, and here I was thinking about complaining to my provider next time that I saw him but lo o k a t t h a t.. I t a l l w o r k e d o u t h o w i t w a s s u p p o s e t o"

"Who are you?" Said the kid.

"I am your savior little Timothy"

"How do you know my name? What am I in this chains?"

"I've been observing you since your awakening ceremony little Timothy, you chose the wrong G.o.d. THE GREAT ODOS OFFERED YOU A CHANCE AND WHAT DID YOU DO TIMOTHY HAH!!! You chose to follow that good for nothing Izana G.o.ddess of Valor. Kekeke… not to worry... not to worry… The great Odos is a forgiving deity but nothing is free you see…."

As the edge of the knife approached, screams ran throughout the dungeon.

The authorities of the town were concerned but not for the right reasons, they were concerned about face. The Blood Harvester had been operating in their town for years and the society function without a hitch, but now that this ugly side was exposed the income of the powerful tyc.o.o.ns were starting to shake ever so slightly as merchants and tourist left a little earlier that they were supposed to. It took them years to create the reputation of a prosperous town were dreams came true and if rumors started to spread that it was unsafe to go there, they stood to lose vast amount of money.

The auction house was one of the main drivers of the economy and they were looking for a big item to misdirect the attention of the crowds from the Blood Harvester. The prayers of the top bra.s.s were answered in the form of Dark Elf girl, a half Barbarian, a pink humanoid, and an 11 ft Snake.

"Did you said you wanted to Auction ancient gold coins?" The face of one of the managers in charge of appraising items for the main Auction that was taking place in 5 days showed a smiled when he heard Elune state the purpose of their visit.

Elune took one coin from her pouch and presented it to the manager whose hand tremble at the sight of the thick coin with the emblem of the dark elf queen.

"Where did you say you found this coin?"

"We found it in some ruins in the Highland planes a long time ago, the ruins looked like they belong to a Dark Elf civilization"

Light flashed through the eyes of the manager that knew this was his golden opportunity for a promotion.

"Esteemed guess this is truly a treasure, please come with me to meet with our director he would be able to a.s.sess the worth of your coin more accurately".

The group was taken to the fifth floor of the auction house were a very wide hallway with expensive paintings and items appeared. There was nothing else in the floor except for the hall and one office door at the end of it.

The manager took them all the way to the front of the door where he stood still after knocking. After a couple of seconds a young lady open the door and stared at the manager like he was piece of p.o.o.p on the floor and said," the Director is very busy and unless you found an extremely high quality treasure he will not see you".

"This is Mrs. Elune and his teammates, they have brought us a treasure for the Grant Auction and it is my believe that the director would not want to miss this opportunity"

The manager handed over the coin to the skeptical secretary who quickly close the door and took the coin to the Branch Chief of the Silverwing Auction House. The reason why the auction house had a great reputation was its name. The main office of the auction was created in the good alignment city of Silverwing by a group of very ortodox followers of Odos the G.o.d of Justice and no employee would dare to cheat a client and give the auction a bad reputation.

There were rumors that a manager was once found guilty of conning a client out an ancient item and he was punished publicly and his soul was extracted in front of the onlooking citizens of Silverwing. Since that time more than 100 years back n.o.body that took the oath in front of the G.o.d of justice altar and worked for the auction attempted anything funny. The soul of that manager is still being tortured and anybody can request to see it at their main office according to hearsay.

Two minutes later, the door opened once more but the person standing by the door was not the secretary but a 20 something year old young man with a very straight posture. The director had black hair brush back and not a single piece of hair was out of place, his outfit had 3 pieces, cotton white pants , white s.h.i.+rt and over all the cloth there was brown coat that went down mid thigh and looked too be made by a very thick fiber and had a very unique pattern. There was not a single wrinkle on his outfit and it seem that he hated anything less than that.

The moment he saw Rahz, he felt an overwhelming desired to cringe but his devotion to the firm kept him from giving the clients anything less than a cordial welcome. His father was one of the driving forces of Naas and he knew of the dire situation the town was going through thanks to the Blood Harvester.

"Welcome, How may I address you?"

Elune answered the directors question as they followed him into the room while the manager that brought them to the office was given a hefty check for his contribution and was dismissed by the secretary at the door.
