3. Rib Service
The store was only 5 minutes away.
The store was called ‘Rib Service.’ It was a restaurant that specialized in galbi. It had a young
customer base ranging from their 20s to 30s. This was why they had spent great care on the
store’s interior design, and they lowered the price of their foods. It was a middle to lower end
grilled meat restaurant.
It had been opened about two years ago, and they could place a maximum of 40 tables.
This was one of the five restaurants owned by the president, and it was the largest one.
However, it was a source of worry since it's profit was low compared to its size.
The biggest problem that was being faced by the president was the employees. The
relations.h.i.+p between the employees were bad.
Since the president was using the entire building, he had a lot of employees. The employees
were split into the waiting staff group, and the kitchen group. There was a psychological warfare
going on right now.
This sometimes happened in large restaurants.
The waiting staff was in charge of the service, and they formed a group around the store
manager. The kitchen staff formed a group around the head chef.
Gwinam had worked at least once at all the shops, and he had an amicable relations.h.i.+p with
everyone.
This was why the president had sent him to this location to stop the internal fight between these
two groups.
It was 5 in the afternoon.
The break time was between 4:30 and 5:50. Since the waiting staff had nothing to do, they
were just lazing around. On the other hand, this was the busiest time for the kitchen.
This was why conflicts happened the most at this time.
“When we are in the store, don't talk to me unnecessarily.”
He was about to head upstairs, but Gahm-sungdae was already ascending up the stairs in front
of him. Gwinam gave a forewarning to the ghost.
This was the first time he was traveling around with a ghost by his side. If the ghost asked him
a question, there was a chance Gwinam might answer him by mistake.
[Yes, sir.]
He acted like a soldier that was about to retire. He gave a sloppy salute as he pushed forward
his left hand.
[Ah, hyung-nim. You have to take the f.u.c.k Screen from me.]
“Why would I need that here?”
[Don't you work with females? You should have s.e.x with them.]
“.......”
He was shocked. He hadn't that far ahead. He hadn’t even thought about it.
Now that he thought about it, the Rib Service had much more female employees than his
previous workplaces.
First, he would eliminate the kitchen aunties from his potential pool. It was Sat.u.r.day, so if he
added the weekend part time workers, he could target 7 to 8 people.
He stretched his left hand towards Gahm-sungdae.
The f.u.c.k Screen was absorbed into his hand.
***
“Welcome..... Uh? Why are you here?”
The automatic door opened, and the first one to greet him was the store manager standing at
the counter.
The manager was 42 years old. He was one of the original staff that had started out with
Gwinam at the wine and grilled pork belly restaurant. If one considered all 5 stores, manager
Kim-myungjoon was ranked 3rd.
“I came here, because I wanted to see hyung-nim.”
“b.i.t.c.h. Why are you calling me hyung-nim?”
“Eh-ee. It is my day off, so I'll just call you hyung-nim. I'll call you manager when I'm on the
clock.”
“Mother f.u.c.ker. How did your move go?”
“I just finished unpacking everything, so I came out here. I came out to buy something, and I
decided to visit for a brief moment.”
“When are you going to have a house-warming party?”
“Pffft. Why would I do a housewarming party? It is so small that it'll become cramped if four
people enter it. I'll just buy you a round after work.”
“Oh~ Company dinner?”
“I guess we can do that. We can have one with the kitchen staff.”
“Hey, how about we just eat by ourselves?”
“Uh-whew. Stop being like that. I've been here for a month, yet we've never had alcohol with
everyone present.”
“I'm just uncomfortable around that b.i.t.c.h, chef Kim. He always insults me when everyone is
gathered. He doesn't say s.h.i.+t when it is just the two of us.”
“Let's do this. Let us let out our grievances out in the open. We are grown men. Why are you
fighting like high school students?”
“I just don't get along with him.”
The A Hall had a heating floor system, and the employees had been resting there. The
employees started to come out slowly like zombies.
At this time of the day, there were 3 men and one woman working on the waiting staff. All of
these full-time workers were in their mid to late 20s.
The weekday part-timers had already clocked out, and the evening part-timers came to work at
6.
“I thought I heard someone say he'll buy us a drink big time.”
“I heard it too.”
“Me too.”
The three male employees spoke slyly as they laughed.
Gwinam had only been here a month, but he saw the full-timers regularly have a drinking party.
This was true except for one person.
“Do you have some time today, Ms. Soonghwee?”
Gwinam turned to look at the corner of the room where she was looking at her smart phone. He
asked the question to the lone female in this hall.
On his first day, she had come to the drinking party as a courtesy. He remembered she left after
30 minutes.
She was 27 years old. She had continued to work part-time when she was between jobs.
However, she became a full-time worker about two months ago.
When the manager wasn't at the counter, she dealt with the customers. She was very pleasant
to the customers, and she was very good at her work. However, she didn't show any rapport
with the workers.
As a woman, she wasn't eye-catching.
She always wore a simple makeup with a quiet tone, and her clothing style was on the side of
conservative.
She had tied her hair back into a tight ponytail. She wore a skinny pants with comfortable tennis
shoes. Her top was a colorless men's t s.h.i.+rt, and she wore a jacket to complete her ensemble.
She always wore a similar style of clothing everyday.
“Wow. Look at our chief asking the question only to a woman. Why don't you ask us?”
“Even if I told you guys not to come, you'll come any ways. Why don't Ms. Soonghwee have a
drink before you go.”
Oh-soonghwee nodded her head.
She didn't smile, but her expressionless face got a little bit brighter.
He didn't know if she liked the suggestion, or if he was imposing himself on her. Was she
planning to stay only for a brief amount of time like last time? Her expression was very
ambiguous.
[Mmm. Her style makes me interested in her. Unlike how they act on the outside, these kind of
women have an abnormally large s.e.xual appet.i.te.]
Gahm-sungdae, who had had been floating behind his back, flew in front of Oh-soonghwee.
'Son of a b.i.t.c.h. I told you not to talk to me.'
[Hyung-nim. Try activating the f.u.c.k Screen on this woman.]
He ignored the ghost. He gave a greeting to the aunties setting up the Banchan at the bar.
Then he headed towards the primary kitchen.
He saw the person ranked second in the Rib Service. The head chef Kim-yoos.h.i.+n and a kitchen
staff was marinating the galbi.
Unbefitting his age, the manager was immature, and he had a very light personality. Head chef
Kim was few in words, and he was soft around the edges. Moreover, he was known to be a little
bit timid.
This was why the two of them didn't get along.
“Aigo, head chef. You are doing a good job~”
“Uh? Isn't it your day off? I thought you were suppose to move.”
“I've somewhat finished moving, so I came for a visit. My house is very small, so I'm planning
on buying some drinks after work. Could you ask your kitchen staff if they could make it?”
“Really? The married women probably won't go. I'll make sure to bring the rest.”
“Why can't the aunties come?”
“They have to go home to their husbands and children. I'll ask them, but I bet they won't go.”
“That can't be helped. I'll see you later. Work hard.”
“I will~”
His gaze was on head chef Kim, so he didn't see the woman coming around the corner. They
collided.
“Eh-he-ee. It seems your eyes was glued like honey to the head chef. You should watch where
you are going.”
“Ah. Sorry, auntie.”
She was auntie Gyungjah. She was in charge of setting up the Banchan that came from the
kitchen.
She was one of the first members that was hired for the Rib Service. She sided with the store
manager. She sided with the wait-staff group. She was the bridge that connected the kitchen
and the hall, so she held big influence over the wait staff and the kitchen staff.
Accompanying the 'Store manager vs Head chef' battle, there was also a psychological warfare
going on between 'auntie Gyungja vs kitchen auntie Duksun'.
Auntie Gyungjah got along fine with the young male employees, but she either loved or hated a
female employee. The female part-timer that got on her bad side could be seen wiping away
their tears.
In a word, she disciplined the female part timers.
However....
s.h.i.+t.
It seemed his skin had touched auntie Gyungjah's skin. He didn't want to see it, but auntie
Gyungjah's f.u.c.k Screen popped up.
--------------------------------------
- Name : Kim-gyungjah
- Age : 45
- Interest towards me : A
- s.e.xual Desire : C
- s.e.xual Openness Index : D
- s.e.xual Fantasy : Car s.e.x. She frequently enjoyed it when she dated her husband.
- Pin Point : Nipples, Small of her back
--------------------------------------
It was as if he had been smacked on the cheek by the b.a.l.l.s of a 70 year old man. He felt a fatal
unpleasantness wash over him, and his stomach churned.
He didn't have the courage to look below the Pin Point. He quickly turned his gaze away.
“The day s.h.i.+ft wasn't that busy, but the hall didn't run that well without you, chief.”
Anyone could see she favored Gwinahm. Auntie Gyungjah treated him especially well.
She kept saying he looked like her husband when he was young.
When he heard her phone conversations sometimes, it seemed she had a great marriage with
her husband.
“I've worked over 2 years here, and I've never seen someone work as good as chief Sung.”
“I guess I won't be able to take a break, because of auntie.”
“I heard you guys are going to go out drinking later?”
“Yes. Auntie should come.”
“Eh-ee. What would an old woman do in a place where the young people play? I'll just ruin the
mood.”
“Everyone is invited to come to the company dinner. You should definitely come.”
“It's all right. I'll go next time. It is my younger kid's birthday, so I have to head out early.”
“All right. Then you have to give me the honor of buying you a drink next time..”
Auntie Gyungjah smiled before she went into the kitchen. Her smile showed appreciation for a
young man, who was good in social situation.
When he checked that no one was nearby, he used his ventriloquism skill to ask Gahm-sungdae
a question.
“Hey. Does the f.u.c.k Screen pop up no matter what when I touch someone? I don't want to see
the f.u.c.k Screen of certain people. Also, I'm not too comfortable seeing the ones for the men.”
[You can set it up, so it doesn't pop up for certain people.]
“How?”
[Just think hard inside that you don't want to see it. Once you put a setting in place, it'll be
maintained unless you change the setting again.]
“That's a relief.”
[Isn't it? In the beginning, I freaked out when I saw my mom's screen. I didn't know my mother
had those kinds of s.e.xual tendencies. Can you believe my mom....]
“Shut the f.u.c.k up. Why would I want to know about your mother's s.e.xual tendencies?”
[There is no harm in knowing it. My mother is only 50 years old.]
“You are completely insane.”
[If you want another good tip, once a person is registered, you can open the screen at any time.
You just have to think about the person, and you have to imagine turning the screen on.]
Gwinam thought about the real estate lady as he willed it to turn on.
Kahng-hweeyun's profile appeared in front of his face.
When he saw it, he automatically got a b.o.n.e.r, so he turned it off immediately.
[So, hyung-nim, can you go see the f.u.c.k Screen of the woman called Soonghwee? I'm really
curious about that woman.]
Gwinam wasn't curious.
She wasn't his style.
However, his basic curiosity had been activated, so he looked towards the A Hall where
Oh-soonhwee was located at.
What preferences did such a quiet and innocent looking woman have?
However, the requirement for activating the f.u.c.k Screen was very troublesome.
He could make it look unintentional like how he had brushed up against auntie Gyungjah.
However, it would be quite difficult to consciously do such an act.
Most of her body was covered by her clothes, and it wasn't as if he could touch her face.
Moreover, he couldn't just touch her hand or arm. It would be a weird thing to do to a fellow
employee.
He could try to stealthily touch her, but he could be labeled a pervert.
Of course, it was true that his heart was filled with wicked thoughts.
“Please come get the spoons!”
The kitchen pushed out a basket full of spoons and chopsticks towards the hall.
It had been washed, so the hall employees had to dry it using a towel before setting it on the
table.
'Oh. This is it.'
There was a chance that their hands could touch as he gave the basket filled with tableware to
her.
For a moment, he hesitated, since he had never done this before. Still, he needed a pretext, so
he took off his windbreaker. Then he rolled up his sleeves.
As he set the basket on top of the table, an employee hurriedly came running towards him.
“You should let it be, chief. We'll take care of it.”
“I'm bored, so let's do it together.”
He got into a seat as he tracked Oh-sunghwee's movements.
She had taken out a towel from the bar, and she sat diagonally across from him.
Well, he had set up the scenario, so he just had to naturally touch her hand.
“I'll set these up. You can wipe it and give it to me.”
He purposefully asked for the table setting job. It was a job usually left for the least experienced
worker. He had to place the dried tableware into an earthenware on a table.
Gulp.
Why was he so nervous?
He continuously looked to time his movements. It happened when Oh-soonghwee was handing
over the third spoon. His hand overlapped with the tip of her finger for a brief moment.
f.u.c.king A.
He was successful.
The f.u.c.k Screen opened next to Oh-soonghwee's face.
He nervously glanced at her, but she seemed indifferent to his touch.
It was this easy, yet he had unnecessarily got scared.
He got up with the spoons and chopsticks wrapped in a towel.
He went into the A Hall where no one was present. He thought about Oh-soonhwee's face, and
he urged the screen to show up.
Heck yeah.
The f.u.c.k Screen moved to settle in front of his face.
Mmm. It was up, but.... Wow. What the h.e.l.l is this?
