Book I: The President’s Million Dollar Bride_Chapter 3.1

The whole building of s.h.i.+ Fei is full of various high-tech facilities. For example, this elevator requires the employee’s card to be swiped for it to operate. Every floor where the employee is allowed to go is fixed, which means that an employee cannot go to the floor which is beyond its card’s limitation.

The president’s exclusive elevator only needs the president's fingerprint to be brushed over in order to gain access to whatever floor in the entire building.

Zhang Chenfei entered into the elevator and naturally pressed the b.u.t.ton of the top floor. As an overbearing president, you should have an office with a 360-degree panoramic view and with a floor-to-ceiling gla.s.s window, standing at the highest point of the city every day, and overlooking all living things.

“Can’t you remember the floor?” Jiao Qi looked at him strangely, raising his hand and pressing the b.u.t.ton indicating a floor in the middle of the building.

As it turns out, he does not have a panoramic office on the top floor. Instead, according to the tradition of the 1990s, the cadre’s office was arranged at the middle level to facilitate communication and it provides a more convenient escape should an accident or disaster occur.

Not at all fas.h.i.+onable!

“Ding!” They have arrived. The three secretaries, two men and a woman, were standing in the doorway carrying their doc.u.ments with them. When they saw Jiao Qi at the door, they immediately straightened their uniform and stood upright. Their speed of speaking was twice faster than usual.

“President, this is the doc.u.ment to be signed today.”

“President, you have a meeting at 10 o’clock this morning. It will be held in the meeting room at the top floor. I will remind you again at 9:45.”

“President, President Li called just now. He will be coming over at two o’clock in the afternoon.”

The president nodded calmly and took the waist of his young wife into the s.p.a.cious office: “From today on, you will be working here.”

“Huh?” Jiao Qi raised his eyebrows and cast a sidelong glance at his husband.

“Mother!” Three secretaries couldn’t help but exclaim. The female secretary in high heels almost fell to the ground.

“You will be my personal a.s.sistant responsible for serving tea, pouring water, reorganizing the doc.u.ments, and …” the president paused. Lightly biting his wife’s fair earlobe, and with a voice that only the two of them can hear, he continued, “to relieve the president’s desire.”

President Jiao could not help but shamelessly turn his face red. For a very long time, he had never heard this man speak such obscene words and for a moment, he actually felt a bit nostalgic. He coughed and soon pushed the man away. His cold face turned to the three secretaries and said: “I will move here to work in the near future. But all the doc.u.ments that will be signed by the President shall be given to me.”

“Yes!” The three secretaries stood neatly and then bowed uniformly at forty-five degrees. Without hesitation, they directly accepted the order.

“President Li’s meeting shall be postponed and inform him to come back tomorrow instead. We will not be in the company this afternoon. If there are any urgent matters, we will handle them this morning.”

“Yes, President Jiao!”

The president watched helplessly at his subordinates following his wife’s orders. After listening to the Madame admonish his employees, he held his wife’s hand and walked towards his office together. His wife did not even ask him, not even the slightest bit, of his opinions and he could not help but extend his hand to ask: “Hey, that… ”

“Click.” The heavy solid wood door gently closed and the interior of the room turned quiet. The president was not able to continue whatever he was about to say as he became absent-minded just like when he heard the sound of the autumn wind sweeping through the leaves.

Something is wrong!

Zhang Chenfei looked back and saw his lovely little wife already swaggering and sitting in the position that was originally meant for the president. Moreover, he skillfully keyed in the power-on pa.s.sword on the keyboard. As the computer’s welcome music filled the air, it was probably true that computers are like the secretaries, they both lack loyalty to their boss.

The president slowly walked to the desk and looked at his wife in a condescending manner: “How do you know my power-on pa.s.sword?”

“What’s so strange about that?” Jiao Qi looked up at him. After all, all their pa.s.swords are mutually known to each other.

The president’s look was unpredictable. Suddenly, he tossed his little wife who had flipped his computer and pressed him down on the sofa.

“You’re a commercial spy sent by w.a.n.g s.h.i.+, aren’t you?”

“Ah?” Jiao Qi is somewhat ignorant at what his husband was saying.

“It was indeed a pretense! The fact that your father owed me a debt was only a pretense!” The president tightly pursed up his lips. “Earlier, I have already told you that you cannot bear the price of betraying me!” After speaking, he suddenly tore away his lovely little wife’s s.h.i.+rt and an exquisite s.h.i.+rt b.u.t.ton flew out.

“b.a.s.t.a.r.d, this is the new Dior I just bought!” The little wife endlessly struggled with a frightened expression.

“President, the meeting is about to begin …

… ” The secretary pushed the door open and his jaw almost fell to the ground at the sight in front of him. Then, just like a tortoise that has been scalded by the boiling water, he instantly shrank back. “Bang!” He shut the door and pretended that he never appeared inside the room.

Due to the disruption of the secretary, the president was not able to proceed. He could only change the power-on pa.s.sword face-to-face: “The pa.s.sword has been changed. You better behave and don’t think about scheming with the computer anymore.”

“0826?” Jiao Qi gracefully b.u.t.toned up his clothes as he asked.

“How do you know?” The president looked up in shock.

“Nonsense, that’s my birthday.”

” … ”
