Shang Yujin had work to handle, and so did Zi Yan, so they did not accompany them.
The remaining six people took a taxi directly to Yuan Qing Ge.
Although Jian Dan was a veteran foodie, he had never eaten here before.
Not just Jian Dan, except for Qin Rou who had been here before, none of the others had.
Even though Yuanyuan’s family was quite wealthy, it still wasn’t wealthy enough to afford eating here.
After getting out of the taxi, an architecturally artistic building appeared before their eyes.
“This is Rococo style architecture!” Mo Mo exclaimed upon seeing the building in front.
“Rococo?” Jian Dan really didn’t know much about art.
“Yes, Rococo is an 18th-century art style originating from France, similar to Baroque but with more detailed and delicate treatment in the finer aspects—it’s an extremely romantic style,” Mo Mo explained.
“Oh! Although I don’t quite understand, it does look very romantic!” Jian Dan commented sincerely.
“That’s why it makes sense that eating here is expensive!” Xia Mengjiao joined in.
“Is this really a restaurant? Why do I feel like it’s more like a castle?” Xiaoting was awestruck by the building.
Qin Rou didn’t say anything, but her expression changed significantly.
From Qin Rou’s expression, Jian Dan could tell that she must be reminiscing about the past.
“If we’re done admiring, let’s hurry up and go inside. I’m starving!” Jian Dan said.
As the six of them were about to walk inside…
“Look, look, who is this?” a shrill female voice sounded from behind them.
They turned to look towards the source of the voice…
Jian Dan saw they were women he didn’t recognize. “Do you know them?”
Everybody shook their heads at Jian Dan, all except Qin Rou.
Seeing the somewhat unnatural expression on Qin Rou, Jian Dan guessed what was going on.
The things that could upset Qin Rou now must be related to people and events from her past!
Sure enough, the leading woman already approached Qin Rou, her face filled with a sense of superiority, looking at Qin Rou with utmost disdain and contempt.
“Isn’t this the young miss of E Media, Qin Rou? You’re eating here too?” It was obvious she knew something and was purposely speaking this way, “Tell me, why haven’t you eaten here in such a long time?”
Although Qin Rou’s face showed no change, Jian Dan noticed that her hands were clenched tightly together, and there was a slight tremble in her body.
“Ah~ How could I forget, E Media is gone, and you’re no longer the high and mighty young miss. You no longer have the status to eat here anymore!” The woman said in a condescending manner.
Jian Dan knew Qin Rou was holding back and really wanted to speak up for her but also hoped that this incident would help Qin Rou completely move on from her past.
But seeing Qin Rou like that was heartbreaking; just as Jian Dan couldn’t help but to speak up…
Qin Rou’s clenched hands relaxed, and a confident smile appeared on her face, “Whether I’m qualified isn’t for you to decide, is it?”
Jian Dan saw Qin Rou’s confident retort and a genuine smile spread across his face.
After this incident, there would be nothing that could hurt Qin Rou anymore.
“Heh? With the way you are now, a woman who’s been in jail and has a criminal record, why should you carry yourself so high? Do you deserve it?
You used to be formidable, I didn’t dare to mess with you, but now, you don’t even qualify to carry my shoes,” the woman spoke arrogantly.
“Heh~ My poise doesn’t need to be deliberately raised because it has always been there. Unlike some people who have to pretend to be high and mighty, wearing hats too big for their heads, I wonder if the fall will be particularly painful when it happens!”

Alright, let’s go have our meal! Being with people like them who are beneath us for too long will lower our own standards! Let’s go~” The woman led her companions into the restaurant.
Before entering, she deliberately spoke near the security guard, “What kind of place is Yuan Qing Ge? Can just anyone come here to eat? If we let in people of low status, it would bring down the cla.s.s of the guests who dine here!” She said this while implying with her eyes towards Jian Dan and her group.
