Chapter 767: Chapter 767: Sweet Crit
“Uncle, did you get it wrong?” Jian Dan teased, moving closer to Chu Liyuan and looking up at him with a mockingly challenging gaze.
Chu Liyuan observed her smug expression, a devilish smile curled the corners of his mouth. He stretched out his hand to Jian Dan’s neck and with a pull, his lips accurately landed on Jian Dan’s red lips.
Jian Dan’s body stiffened, her toes curled inside her shoes, expressing her emotion, and her hands turned into tight fists.
Chu Liyuan did not linger for too long. After a brief touch, like a dragonfly skimming water, he left Jian Jian’s lips.
“Uncle, what are you doing?”
“You made me jealous, so of course you have to take responsibility. Didn’t you do the same to make me feel better before?”
Upon hearing Uncle’s words, Jian Dan couldn’t help but smile at the corners of her mouth.
“Uncle, what if someone sees us like this?”
“So what if they do? I’m kissing my own wife. It’s reasonable and legal. Who dares to say anything?”
His words left her without a reb.u.t.tal.
How could Uncle’s commanding presence be so handsome? It’s fatally charming!
“It’s just…” Chu Liyuan did not relax his arm around Jian Dan’s neck.
“What?”
“It seems like the intensity wasn’t enough just now!”
He captured Jian Dan’s lips once more.
Jian Dan slowly closed her eyes, her hands moved to Chu Liyuan’s neck, her toes gently rose, immersing herself in this protracted kiss.
The two kissed pa.s.sionately, so absorbed that they failed to notice Zhang Yang not far away.
Zhang Yang had witnessed this scene on his way back with the firewood.
Seeing the girl he liked engrossed in a kiss with another man, his arms tightened unconsciously around the branches, his body shook slightly, his mouth clenched shut, and the muscles in his jawline were taut. His attractive brows furrowed deeply, his eyes filled with raging jealousy.
Zhang Yang desperately wanted to look away, but his body wouldn’t allow it. He just stood there, watching the two entwined together, until they reluctantly parted.
After they separated, especially Jian Dan’s gaze, it pierced his heart anew.
It was the look of a young girl smitten with her beloved man, her whole being radiated sweetness, and all of it informing Zhang Yang that she was in love with the man before her.
“Uncle, we’ve been away for quite a while, let’s hurry back!”
“Alright!” Chu Liyuan naturally took Jian Dan’s small hand and headed in the direction of the camp…
After the two had left, Zhang Yang emerged from behind a tree, his grip on the branches loosened, and they fell to the ground…
He looked like a defeated rooster.
Zhang Yang didn’t pick up the branches that had fallen to the ground but walked back with a vacant stare and a look of utter dejection…
Upon seeing the camp, Jian Dan withdrew her hand from Uncle’s grasp, looked up at him with a sweet smile, and then ran off.
“Jian, why were you gone for so long? You didn’t happen to be with Teacher Zhang…” Xiaoting, upon seeing Jian Dan’s radiant expression, imagined that Jian had spent time with Zhang Yang collecting branches and that they had sparked a bit of romance.
But a quick glance around didn’t reveal Zhang Yang’s figure. “Hey, where’s Teacher Zhang? Why didn’t he come back with you?”
“I didn’t find him!”
“You didn’t find Teacher Zhang?”
“Yes! I’ve been looking for a while and couldn’t find him. Are you sure you saw Teacher Zhang go that way?”
“Of course, I’m sure! How could he not be found?”
“It’s okay, Teacher Zhang is a grown man; he should be fine. He’ll probably be back soon.”
“But…” Had her carefully planned first step failed just like that?
“Look, there he is!” Jian Dan looked up and saw Zhang Yang returning from the direction she had just come from. “Told you there’s no need to worry!”
Xiaoting followed Jian Dan’s pointing finger and saw Zhang Yang.
At that moment, Zhang Yang resembled a lifeless zombie, moved only by a primal desire..
