Chapter 102: Deja Vu
Translator: Atlas Studios Editor: Atlas Studios
Chu Liyuan woke up early in the morning. Looking at the person who was still sleeping soundly, the corners of his lips curled up again.
It looked like she was exhausted.
By the time Jian Dan woke up, it was almost 9 a.m..
Jian Dan rubbed her temples and slowly sat up. She felt that her entire body was sore and weak, and her head was killing her.
Her vision gradually cleared up. The bed was in a mess… Clothes were strewn all over the floor…
Why did this scene feel like deja vu?
Only then did Jian Dan remember that this scene was reminiscent of the first time she and Chu Liyuan…
What was going on? Was she dreaming? Or… was everything that happened all a dream?
Jian Dan was shocked by her thoughts and screamed, “Ah!”
Chu Liyuan was making breakfast for Jian Dan downstairs. When he heard Jian Dan’s scream, he did not even have time to put down the spatula in his hand. He rushed upstairs and barreled through the bedroom door…
He saw Jian Dan sitting on the bed with tears in her eyes and her head drooping.
“What’s wrong, la.s.s?”
He asked as he quickly ran to the bed.
When Jian Dan heard that familiar voice, she looked up and a familiar face appeared before her eyes. Tears streamed down her face in an instant. She knelt and hugged Chu Liyuan’s neck tightly…
What was wrong with this la.s.s so early in the morning? Was she injured because he got too carried away last night?
Chu Liyuan was wearing a blue checkered ap.r.o.n and holding a spatula in one hand. He could only use his free hand to gently stroke Jian Dan’s hair…
After a while, Jian Dan let go of Chu Liyuan and looked at him pitifully with teary eyes.
“Why are you crying? Did you have a nightmare?”
He carefully wiped the tears from the corners of Jian Dan’s eyes, his eyes filled with heartache.
Jian Dan gazed at Chu Liyuan intently, wanting to confirm that the person in front of her was real. She wanted to confirm that she was not dreaming…
In order to prove it… She headb.u.t.ted Chu Liyuan… “It hurts! It hurts!”
Jian Dan exclaimed excitedly.
Chu Liyuan did not care if his forehead hurt anymore. He rubbed Jian Dan’s forehead with his warm palm. “If it hurts, why did you headb.u.t.t me?”
Chu Liyuan was confused by this la.s.s’ actions. He did not know what was wrong with her.
“If it hurts, it’s not a dream.” Jian Dan had a sweet smile on her face.
“I thought I was dreaming just now!”
She was really terrified that all of this was a dream!
“I’m so scared, so scared!”
Tears streamed down her face again.
“Silly girl. Even so, you don’t have to headb.u.t.t me!”
His heart ached when he saw Jian Dan’s red forehead.
“It’s the pain of happiness, the pain of joy!”
Looking at Jian Dan’s silly expression, Chu Liyuan did not know what to feel. He was happy, sad, and heartbroken.
He enveloped Jian Dan in a warm embrace…
“It’s real! All of this is real!”
Dream? Not only Jian Dan, he would never agree to it either!
“Yes.”
Only then did Jian Dan realize that Chu Liyuan was wearing an ap.r.o.n and holding a spatula…
“Uncle, what’s this look? Are you going to film the sequel to Pancake Man or Spatula Man?”
Knowing that all of this was real, Jian Dan was on cloud nine and teased Chu Liyuan as her mood lifted.
“I made you breakfast!”
“You made breakfast for me? It’ll definitely taste amazing!”
“Then why aren’t you going downstairs?!”
She was about to make her way downstairs when…
“Hang on!”
Jian Dan grabbed Chu Liyuan… “Carry me!”
Before Chu Liyuan could answer, Jian Dan had already jumped onto his back.
Chu Liyuan was stunned and stood rooted to the ground.
“Let’s go! Uncle, I’m famished!”
She wheedled when she saw that Chu Liyuan did not move.
He could see Jian Dan every day the moment he opened his eyes. He could be with Jian Dan every day. Even if it was just a simple breakfast, it was the happiest thing to him..
