Carnelian Dawn pointed at sudden guests and said, "It's you guys, again?!"

Conri Lycaon asked, "Why are you here?"

The arrival of Beastman Bais.h.i.+ and the green-haired Leafy surprised the rest of the group. They didn't expect these men to appear here without their knowledge. Bais.h.i.+ and Leafy saw their guards up against the pain as too obvious. Leafy snorted, as if he found them irritating.

Only Bais.h.i.+ had the patience to speak with them.

The white lion Beastman, Bais.h.i.+ says, "Don't overthink. We might have attacked you before because we thought you guys were suspicious. Now that the Great Elder has vouched for your group then there shall be no more fighting. We are here as your guides to the city."

"A guide. I see, the Great Elder did mention giving us a guide." Esther Dawn said.

The green-haired youth looked at their group and frowned, "You are missing one person. Where is the old one with white hair?" He looked at Conri Lycaon and asked, "Oi, where is your elder brother?"

"It is none of your business." Conri Lycaon said as he looked to not like this rude brat with green hair.

"You!"

"He just went somewhere and will be back later. You are here as a guide not to interrogate us, right?" Esther Dawn said as he gave the pair a cold glance.

When Bais.h.i.+ saw Esther Dawn's cold stare, he knew he and his partner were overstepping their authority. After all, he was correct. The Great Elder only a.s.signs them the task of being good guides because they are close to their age, but they are not instructed to monitor all of their actions. They were given complete freedom to do whatever they wanted. If they have any questions or want to go somewhere, it is their duty as a guide to accompany them.

However, the greenhead youth believes that the great elder tasked him with watching over these people who have no idea where they came from. Bais.h.i.+ covered his mouth, preventing him from speaking in response to Esther Dawn's words.

Bais.h.i.+ said, "Please forgive him. He is still young and a bit immature. But I do worry that your friend might get hurt if he roams around alone. Lately, the dinosaurs not far from the city are a bit weird lately. Just making sure all of you are alright."

"Don't worry about him. If he is so weak to be killed by it then that's him fooling around." Esther Dawn said.

Amber Dawn said, "Don't mind our elder brother. His mood had been a bit bad since Brother Yoru left him alone."

"Would you like to join us? Let's look around the place after eating." Asher Light said.

Leafy pulls his friend's hand off his mouth and yells at him, "What's wrong with you?"

"Remember what Great Elder Tuya had ordered," Bais.h.i.+ said.

Hmph!

These words alone were enough to shut him up. As expected, the green-haired youth turned silent and started sulking. Bais.h.i.+ pulled Leafy to join Asher Light's table as they were invited.

"h.e.l.lo, Mr. Bais.h.i.+ and Leafy. I am Asher Light."

"Eldest. Esther Dawn."

"Second. Amber Dawn."

"Youngest. Carnelian Dawn."

"Conri Lycaon."

"I'm Bais.h.i.+ and this is Leafy. He is still young, I hope you understand."

"Isn't he near my age? He is no longer young!" Carnelian Dawn said.

With a bit of a reprimanding tone, Esther Dawn called his younger brother's name, "Car, that's rude."

"Hahaha~ you got scolded," Leafy said while pointing at Carnelian.

Bais.h.i.+ pulled down his hand and said, "Leafy, enough!"

Their small group spent some time in the cafe and noticed a few trays of dessert being delivered to the VIP room on the top floor. Each tray was so full of different desserts that it was difficult to believe that anyone could eat that much even if they came in a group.

Carnelian Dawn commented, "That's a lot. Is there a group in the VIP room?"

"No. There are only two people. One of them is veiled while the other one is accompanying the former as a jaguar. It was large and majestic. That Beastman is definitely powerful!"

"I'm strong and quite large myself in my beast form too. How come you never compliment me?" Bais.h.i.+ mumbled. "But indeed, that jaguar looks so powerful though they seem to not be from here either. They must be here for the trial too."

"Is the trial that dangerous?" Carnelian asked.

Leafy responded, "Of course! You need to defeat a dinosaur to prove your strength. The stronger the dinosaur is the more you get the approval of the Beast G.o.d. Strength is almost everything in this place!"

"Dinosaurs, is it?" Murmured Esther Dawn as he looked at the horizon hoping that his lover wouldn't venture outside the city alone just to investigate.

Amber Dawn said, "Dinosaurs are still alive in this world?"

"What are dinosaurs, Sister?" Carnelian asked.

Dinosaurs are unknown to Asher Light and Conri Lycaon, who were born in a world unconnected to Earth. Actually, Esther Dawn has no idea, but he has seen them from above before, just like Mayonaka Yoru. He was aware that those things were quite large.

Leafy and Bais.h.i.+ stared at them, perplexed as to why they didn't know what a dinosaur was. Though there is a smaller population of it now than there was previously, there is still a large amount of it in the wild.

"Are you guys shut-in or something? Do you never leave the city at all? How come you don't know what dinosaurs are?" Leafy questioned. Obviously couldn't believe they didn't know what dinosaurs were.

Amber Dawn said, "I only saw those in history books before. Not in real life though." Those things are supposed to be extinct on Earth after all.

Bais.h.i.+ suggested, "If I wanted to know about it, there should be introductory books in the library. It was written by one of the founders of the city, Lord Tuzi. There are also drawings."

"Let's go then. Now I'm interested in what it looks like." Asher Light said.

Amber Dawn mumbled, "Most of those things are big. Can we even defeat it?"

"You wouldn't be hunting adult dinosaurs anyway. It wouldn't be bigger than the ordinary houses in the residential area." Leafy said.

As Bais.h.i.+ suggested, they all go to the library.

The two young people, who appeared to have the same personality, had fled as soon as they entered the library. I was scolded by the librarian and almost barred from entering the library after being booked there and here. Bais.h.i.+ and Conri Lycaon were forced to apologize for their partners' misbehavior. The librarian was the only one who let the two brats in but was barred from even walking around.

The librarian said, "Next time you run around you won't be allowed inside the library anymore!"

Amber Dawn and Asher Light, on the other hand, were doing their best not to laugh. Esther Dawn ignored the brats and looked around for some interesting books to read, while Conri Lycaon and Bais.h.i.+ sighed helplessly.

"I found it, is it this book?"

Esther Dawn, who was looking around, discovered the book, which was more of an encyclopedia about dinosaurs. There are even drawings and descriptions in the book to help you understand it. Each dinosaur's name, type, height, and weight were also recorded. It was created in as much detail as possible, including its flaws.

As soon as Amber Dawn saw the drawing, "It's this one. Brother, you found it fast. I thought you didn't know what dinosaurs were."

Asher Light commented, "That's quite large. I wonder if our elements are useful?"

"I don't know about light elements but the other elements should be effective. They aren't undeads after all. It wouldn't be too effective." Conri Lycaon said as he read the description of a few dinosaurs.

Bais.h.i.+ said, "Light elements can purify the meat. If you use dark elements to kill it we need to use light elements to purify it before it can be cooked and eaten."

"You... You eat this... These things!?" exclaimed Carnelian Dawn.

Leafy looked innocent as he said, "It's delicious! Much more delicious than beef, pork, or pheasant! It possesses energy that makes one stronger. Are you sure you don't want to eat it?"

"Is it that delicious?" asked Carnelian Dawn.

Bais.h.i.+ said, "There's a restaurant that sells dinosaur meat. Do you want to try it?"

"Let's try it after Yoru returns. For now, let's study this book. It's most likely that the pair would move on its own. I can't be there to guide you if we get separated." Esther Dawn said

The two siblings, Carnelian Dawn and Amber Dawn, who hates to study tried to escape but were captured by their elder brother.

"No~ I hate studying~"

Three voices echo complaints. It seems the strictness of Esther Dawn also scared the h.e.l.l out of Leafy. He is quite obedient towards serious and mature people like Esther Dawn. It was the same feeling as a troublemaker student meeting the teacher.

Bais.h.i.+ sighed, "You don't need to study. Don't run now."

Mayonaka Yoru blended in well with the other members of the barracks. He tried to get out of the city alone, but was apprehended by warriors on patrol. He explained that he simply wanted to practice for tomorrow's trial in private. He even stated that he wanted his mate to agree to his love. The warriors all understand his desire to make their potential mates or fiance like them. As a result, they included him in their patrol and even in their afternoon hunting.

Mayonaka Yoru and a group of warriors carrying weapons searched for an Agilisaurus in a nearby forest where only herbivore dinosaurs appeared. They are cla.s.sified as agile lizard dinosaurs. They move faster than other dinosaurs and are small in comparison to other herbivore dinosaurs. But they move in a herd and as long their necks are captured it would be hard for them to escape.

Mayonaka Yoru asked, "Brother, what does an Agilisaurus look like? I only saw a big one with a long neck that eats leaves on the top of the tree."

"That's a Brachiosaurus. No one hunts those except for first-cla.s.s warriors and only do it during the winter season when they need to stock food. After all, the winter season is truly harsh and it's hard to hunt in that season."

Another warrior said, "Agilisaurus are small in size but at least the size of an adult human. Help us catch its neck and leave the rest to us, brothers. The neck is its weakness but it's too fast."

"Once we caught a few, the restaurant owner would give us free dinner. You can bring your fiance and family over too. We always do that. That's half of the payment for catching some meat to sell."

"Okay. I will do my best." Mayonaka Yoru said.

They venture deeper into the forest and b.u.mped into a group of five Agilisaurus. Both parties were startled and the Agilisaurus tried to run away as soon as it saw them.

Guru~~~ Grruuuu~

"Catch them, brothers!"

Mayonaka Yoru made his move, using his metal strings and even ice elements was added to his weapon. When he let go of his metal strings, it wrapped itself around the necks of the five Agilisaurus. He was nearly dragged along with them, and he had to use his beast form to keep them from fleeing. A large white wolf appeared in the forest and bit on the metal strings, preventing the dinosaurs from escaping. Even the warrior who accompanied him was taken aback by his sudden transformation. After all, he appears to be stunning, fierce, and powerful.

"Capture them!"

"Yes, boss!"

The other warriors finally made their move and killed the captured Agilisaurus. The scent of blood spread in the area but the warriors were celebrating. Mayonaka Yoru returned to his human form and the warriors pat his shoulder while laughing.

"That was fierce, brother!"

"So you are a wolf. A snow wolf."

"I can't believe we caught five of them. Usually, when we meet a herd we can only catch two to three. Hahaha~"

"I heard Snow Wolves had no problems hunting during winter. No wonder you didn't react much when I mentioned that it was hard to hunt in the winter season."

"Hehe~ I had to use my Beast Form as they almost dragged me just now. It's good that the brothers made a move before they tried to struggle more. My strength might break if that happens."

Even the boss of the hunting group pats Mayonaka Yoru's shoulder in acceptance. Such a strong warrior is welcome anywhere.

"You did well. Mission accomplished! Let's go back to the city now."

"Yes, Boss!"
