Chapter 82: Second Livestream (2)

Chapter 82 – Second Livestream (2)

As the mist gradually dissipated, Chen Yu’s mouth fell wide open as if he had just been struck by lightning.

Before his mind could adequately process the situation, a figure wearing his face could be seen walking out of the sleeping pod. However, the similarities ended there. Unlike himself, this figure wore a dress, had long silky hair, and protruding b.r.e.a.s.t.s and b.u.t.tocks.

“Do I look similar?” Little Peach asked as she slightly raised her arms and spun around in a circle, her actions causing her dress to flutter and reveal the white short pants underneath.

“Ah…my eyes…” Chen Yu agonizingly covered his face.

“I’ve replaced my vocal cords as well. With this, n.o.body can tell the difference, right?”

“Only you can’t tell the difference, right?” Stretching out his hand, Chen Yu pulled at the face that looked exactly like his and shouted, “What’s the point of changing only the face?!”

“I-It’s alright, I can bind my chest up with a cloth.”

“What about your hair? What about your b.u.t.tocks? Even the skin tone of your face and neck is different!”

With Chen Yu pulling her face left and right, Little Peach vaguely replied, “It’s normal for hair to grow long overnight.”

“This is the 21st century! That’s not normal at all!”

“As for my b.u.t.t-b.u.t.tocks and skin tone, I can ju-just wear more clothes…”

“What about your hands?”

“I’ll wear gloves.”

“Neck?”

“Scarf.”

“Why can’t you just turn yourself into a male completely?”

“I can’t. Such overhauls can only be conducted in the future Daisy Rays Daily Products Co., Ltd.. The slumber pod only supports the replacement of certain parts.”

“…Fine, then.” Loosening his grip, Chen Yu frowned as he carefully observed Little Peach. After a moment, he could not help but comment, “I can’t help but feel that you’re ugly!”

“Maybe it’s because of this face,” Little Peach earnestly explained.

Chen Yu: “…”

“I’m sorry, I misspoke. It is unrelated to your face,” Little Peach corrected herself upon seeing Chen Yu’s reaction.

Chen Yu: “…”

“T-Then, is it related or not?” Panicking, Little Peach took a step back timidly.

“…Forget it,” Chen Yu said as he weakly waved his hand. “Let’s just go with this. I’ll bring you to a barber and trim your hair to my hairstyle.”

After saying so, Chen Yu approached the Interstellar Portal and established a spatial link with Los Angeles, which was located on the other side of the world. He then opened the door and walked through it.

Seeing this, Little Peach hurriedly followed after him.

Currently, it was still night time in Los Angeles. The empty alley Chen Yu and Little Peach appeared at was so quiet that it was possible to hear even the sound of a needle dropping.

As the two walked out of the alley, a dim street light s.h.i.+ned down on them. And when a night breeze blew by, it sent the littered plastic bags and bottles rolling and cras.h.i.+ng into a homeless person nearby, the scene turning out to be quite depressing.

After walking through a few streets with Little Peach, Chen Yu walked into a barbershop. Looking at the sole black man seated inside the shop, he said, “Give her a haircut. Cut her hair into my hairstyle.”

“What?” the chubby black man asked in confusion as he observed Chen Yu and Little Peach.

“My English is bad. You talk to him. Tell him to cut your hair into my hairstyle.”

“Okay.”

Nodding, Little Peach spread her arms and started blurting out a series of English words that made no sense to Chen Yu whatsoever.

Upon hearing Little Peach’s words, the black man widened his eyes and started responding in words Chen Yu similarly did not understand.

“Are you guys even speaking English?” Chen Yu asked suspiciously. “What did he say?”

“He says I look hideous.”

“…”

“He says if I trim my hair, I’ll look even uglier,” Little Peach added.

“…”

After standing still for a moment, Chen Yu silently turned around and walked out of the shop.

“Where are you going?”

“To retrieve my Golden Finger.”

Fifteen minutes later, Chen Yu and Little Peach arrived back at Chen Yu’s room.

Pulling out his phone and taking a look at the time, Chen Yu immediately removed his coat and tossed it to Little Peach. “Hurry up. We won’t have much time left. Go have breakfast in the kitchen first and then head to the exam venue. Also, hurry up and change into a set of uniform.”

“Okay.”

Turning her back toward Chen Yu, Little Peach removed her dress and tightly wrapped a towel around her chest.

Squeak!

Hearing the tightening sounds of the towel, even Chen Yu himself could not help but feel painful. “Isn’t it…painful?”

“What is pain?” Little Peach asked in confusion as she turned her head around.

“…It’s…nothing. Continue.”

“Oh.”

Although Little Peach was puzzled by Chen Yu’s words, she did not overthink the matter. After putting on Chen Yu’s uniform, a scarf, and a pair of gloves, she became thoroughly covered both inside and outside. Twirling around, she asked, “Mr. Chen, do I look like you now?”

Taking a step back, Chen Yu held up his chin as he carefully observed Little Peach. “Hoh, not bad.”

“In that case, I’m going to school now!” Little Peach said. She then picked up Chen Yu’s school bag and prepared to leave the room.

“Wait a minute, do you know where Sixth High is?”

“I don’t know.”

“Do you know where my exam venue is?”

“I don’t know.”

“Do you know what my teachers are called? What subjects are being tested today?”

“I don’t know.” Lowering her head, Little Peach said, “I don’t know any of the things you just said. I am only a romance robot…”

“What does this have to do with you being a romance robot?! You need to learn how to pay attention to the details! Like myself, you need to be crude in most matters, but subtle in some.”

“Understood. I need to be both crude and subtle.”

“It’s crude in most matters, but subtle in some!!”

“Crude in most matters, but subtle in some,” Little Peach repeated.

After a moment of silence, Chen Yu said, “Alright, let’s skip this topic and talk about something else.”

After saying so, Chen Yu circled around Little Peach and frowned, saying, “The proportions still feel a little distorted.”

“Where is it distorted? Should I tighten my chest a little more?”

“…It has nothing to do with that, OK? Walk two steps forward. Walk in strides.”

“L-Like this?” Little Peach asked as she tentatively walked two steps forward.

Clap!

Clapping his hands together, Chen Yu said, “I get it! Your walking posture is no good. You walk like a girl. You need to walk with bold steps. No catwalk.”

“Like this?” Little Peach then spread out her legs, forming an “八” pattern as she imposingly took two steps forward.

“You’re just asking for a beating walking like that…”

“How about this?” Little Peach switched another walking posture.

“Mhm… That’s better.” After taking a look at the time once more, Chen Yu pulled Little Peach close to him and sternly said, “Sixth High isn’t that far from here. Once you head downstairs, turn left and head down the sidewalk. Once you pa.s.s by a kindergarten, an elementary school, and a middle school, turn left and walk across two traffic lights…”

After spending 10 minutes explaining all the necessary details, Chen Yu picked up a gla.s.s of water and drank it. Clearing his throat, he continued, “Cough. Do you remember what I said?”

“I remember.”

“Head on out, then. I won’t be taking my tests alone this time, but together with cla.s.smates, instead; make sure you speak less. Act as if your throat is injured.”

“Understood!”

“Today’s test papers are physics and chemistry. Write using the handwriting I taught you just now. And no matter whether you know the answer to a question, just fill in all the blanks. We’ll find an opportunity later on to change the answers.”

“Understood!”

“Don’t make any strange movements! Don’t mess things up!”

“Understood! I definitely won’t!” Little Peach said as she patted her chest a.s.suringly.

“I just can’t seem to feel at ease letting you handle this.”

“Rest a.s.sured, Mr. Chen, I am now both crude and subtle.”

“It’s crude in most matters, but subtle in some!”

“Mhm, mhm. Crude in most matters, but subtle in some!”

“…”

Carrying Chen Yu’s school bag, Little Peach opened the bedroom door and went into the kitchen to have breakfast with the rest of the Chen family.

As a robot, Little Peach only needed to recharge her energy supply to continue functioning. Hence, she planned to only pretend to eat during this meal and then spit out everything once she got to school.

“Why are you covered up like that at home?” Mother Chen asked as she observed Little Peach’s attire. “Caught a cold?”

“Mhm.”

“Did you kick off your blanket last night?”

“Mhm.”

“Serves you right!”

“Mhm.”

With an ugly look on her face, Mother Chen walked out of the kitchen and dug out a medicine box from a drawer in the living room. After getting two cold capsules from the box, she returned to the kitchen and directly stuck the pills into Little Peach’s mouth.

“Eat!”

Little Peach: “…”

“Drink!” Mother Chen then pushed a gla.s.s of water to Little Peach.

Little Peach: “…”

“Drink up! What are you looking at me for?” Mother Chen frowned.

“Nothing.” Little Peach obediently accepted the water. After a moment of silence, she quietly mumbled, “Being a human really is nice…”

Meanwhile, back inside Chen Yu’s room, Chen Yu quietly laid on the floor. When he heard the sound of Little Peach leaving the front door of his house, he softly breathed out a sigh of relief.

“Hopefully, she doesn’t cause any trouble for me…”

Standing up, Chen Yu returned to his bed and quietly stared at empty s.p.a.ce as he waited for nine o’clock to arrive.

Precisely 21 minutes later, a s.p.a.ce-time wormhole suddenly appeared in the middle of his room.

“It’s here!”
