Chapter 327: Mysterious Intelligent Creation
Chapter 327 – Mysterious Intelligent Creation
Through the information transmission of quantum entanglement, Chen Yu and his 170 million viewers in the distant Earth noticed the blue spherical light simultaneously.
The ball of light was about the size of an ordinary ping-pong ball, and it seemed to possess a consciousness of its own as it bobbed up and down in front of Chen Yu. The glow it gave off also flickered in and out of existence as it moved.
[c.r.a.p! Aliens!]
[It looks like a will-o’-wisp.]
[it’s clearly a ball of lightning.]
[Danger!]
[It doesn’t matter what this thing is. I just want to know whether you’re going to cut it or not, UP.]
“It is watching me.”
Carefully bending over, Chen Yu set down the stones he had gathered and pulled out the High-frequency Lightsaber. He then backed away cautiously.
However, the light orb immediately caught up with him, continually maintaining a distance of three meters from him.
Buzz!
Narrowing his eyes, Chen Yu activated the lightsaber without hesitation. Accompanied by a buzzing sound, a dazzling and scorching beam of light appeared between him and the ball of light.
However, a second after the light beam appeared, the blue light orb suddenly turned into a stream of light that rushed at the light beam and merged with it…
“What?” Chen Yu shuddered from his fear of the unknown. Immediately, he turned off the lightsaber and threw the hilt far away.
Bang!
Under Chen Yu’s superhuman throw, half of the st.u.r.dy metallic hilt got stabbed into the ground.
Whoosh—
Activating the plasma engine, Chen Yu took to the skies and carefully observed the lightsaber’s hilt. He then said solemnly and warily, “That is definitely not a ball-shaped lightning. It is observing me. I believe that there is a high chance that this light orb is the creation of intelligent life. Maybe it is a probe for scientific research? Or maybe some kind of sensor?
“Also…” Taking a look around him, Chen Yu subconsciously clenched his fists and said, “Its creator might very well be nearby.
“Regardless, its existence has surpa.s.sed our realm of understanding. Suppose that light ball really is an intelligent creation. In that case, this proves that the civilization that created it is far more advanced than modern human civilization. In addition, through the light ball’s interaction with the lightsaber, the light orb should be a type of plasma. However, the possibility that it is a living being is small.
“Whether my conjecture is correct, we can only wait until scientific researchers have a.n.a.lyzed this video clip to find out.” After taking a long glance at the lightsaber hilt stabbed into the rocky ground, Chen Yu turned around and flew back toward the Type-R s.p.a.cecraft. “We’ll leave the lightsaber here. We have seen plenty of movies depicting disasters brought about by bringing alien objects back to Earth. Safety is our number one priority. If this lightsaber doesn’t disappear, any country’s government who are still interested in it can send a group of researchers here to come to study it in the future.”
[I get what you’re saying, but are you still going to cut out your kidney or not?]
[The UP already said it isn’t a living being.]
[You mean he refuses to acknowledge it. ( ͡°͜ʖ͡°)]
[Let’s be real. Even if plasma lifeforms exist, it is unlikely for them to live on a planet.]
[Is there anyone forming a group to recollect the lightsaber? It should auction off for a lot of money.]
Shortly afterward, Chen Yu returned to the s.p.a.cecraft and saw that the astronauts were normally going through their work. Immediately, he breathed out a sigh of relief.
Boom.
After landing on the ground, Chen Yu connected his protective suit’s helmet with one of NASA’s astronaut’s radio and asked, “Did any abnormalities happen here?”
“Abnormalities?” The astronaut in question raised his head in confusion, revealing his sweaty face to Chen Yu. The astronaut then said, “What kind of abnormalities are you referring to?”
“For example, some kind of light orb, or something that’s beyond common sense.”
“No.” The astronaut shook his head. However, after listening to Chen Yu’s words, the astronaut couldn’t help but grow anxious. “M-Mr. Chen, d-did you find something?”
“…It’s nothing. Are you done setting up your equipment?”
“Almost. There’s only the communication transmitter left.”
“Can it reach Earth?” Chen Yu asked in surprise?
“It cannot.”
“Why are you even installing it, then?”
“I don’t know, either.”
“…Well, try to finish as quickly as possible. Get back onto the s.p.a.cecraft once you’re done.”
At Chen Yu’s urging, the astronauts working outside the s.p.a.cecraft started feeling slightly insecure. Immediately, they finished their work and returned to the s.p.a.cecraft.
Inside the temporary decontamination room Chen Yu had set up, every person and object had to undergo strict decontamination before they could enter the s.p.a.cecraft.
“Hu…”
Jack Ma and his wife were the first ones to exit the decontamination room. As soon as they exited the temporary room and took a deep breath, several youngsters from the bullet comment group hurriedly stepped forward and helped them remove their s.p.a.cesuits.
“Mhm. What excellent youngsters,” Jack Ma said as he removed his helmet and wiped the sweat off his forehead.
Hearing this, the youngsters worked even more diligently…
While the astronauts were boarding the s.p.a.cecraft, Chen Yu walked toward a two-meter-tall boulder and sent a punch at its center!
Boom!
Crumble…
After being struck by the huge force, the boulder shattered and crumbled apart. As the debris fell to the ground, a cloud of non-proliferating dust rose to the air.
Chen Yu then began grabbing the rubble by the handful and stored it in his backplate’s storage compartment.
Two minutes later, the storage compartment was filled up. Chen Yu then returned to the s.p.a.cecraft while saying, “There should be more than 1,000 individual pieces. This is a gift I painstakingly prepared. I’m sure my fans will like it.”
[I like it very much. You are a really conscientious streamer, UP.]
[I don’t know what to say. :)]
[It’s fine so long as it is worth money.]
[A valuable gift prepared with no feelings, or a cheap gift prepared with feelings. Which one would you choose?]
[I want the valuable gift.]
[+1.]
[I want the valuable gift as well.]
[Can feelings be turned into a meal?! I want the valuable gift!]
Hiss…
After being decontaminated by ultraviolet radiation, 60C0-γ rays, ethylene oxide, ozone, and a dozen other decontamination agents, Chen Yu stepped into the s.p.a.cecraft and set aside his heavy storage compartment at a corner. Only then did he relax completely. It’s finally safe…
The Type-R s.p.a.cecraft was a product of human civilization in the year 6877. He had no doubts about the s.p.a.cecraft’s safety.
“Has everyone returned?” Chen Yu asked as he looked around the s.p.a.cecraft. “Is there anyone missing?”
“Everyone’s here.”
“Good. Everyone, come closer. Let me talk about the unexpected situation that I have just experienced.” Patting off the dust on his body, Chen Yu said in a solemn tone, “While I was out exploring the vicinity, I came across an encounter of the third kind.”
At this mention, everyone’s expressions changed immediately.
“Yes, it is possibly an alien.” While mentally activating the s.p.a.cecraft, Chen Yu sped up his speech and entered the main point, “The thing I came across is most likely an intelligent creation, and I speculate that it is something like a probe. However, no matter what it is, it is a fact that it carries a certain degree of danger. Moreover, based on how it just so happened to have appeared near me, I have reason to suspect that it has been following us for a long time.”
“…”
Everyone inside the cabin exchanged looks with each other, unsure of what to say in this situation.
“W-What does that aliens look like?”
“It is an intelligent creation,” Chen Yu emphasized. “It isn’t an alien. Its appearance is a light orb. It is blue in color, and its size is no more than two segments of a pinky. Has anyone here seen it?”
Everyone shook their heads.
“Hmm…”
Chen Yu groaned. Looking at the red earth below that was quickly growing distant, he said thoughtfully, “Matter that carries information cannot exceed the speed of light. So, unless that light orb has been hidden on the s.p.a.cecraft all along, there is no way it can catch up with the s.p.a.cecraft when it is moving at 5,000 times the speed of light. So, the more likely possibility is that the light orb originated from Alpha Centauri, and it must’ve found us and chased after us after we entered the star system.”
After saying so, Chen Yu looked at the camera and paused slightly. He then continued in a somewhat excited tone, “Maybe…
“Our neighboring star system might actually have an intelligent civilization…”
