Hearing her words, w.a.n.g Hualing didn't hesitate at all. She quickly bent down, scrambled threw the broken bits, and took out an SD card. The next instant, she broke it into two. 

With the face of a conquerer, w.a.n.g Hualing looked at Chen Yi and sneered at her. While Chen Yi gazed at her as if looking at some runaway from a mental inst.i.tute.

"Congratulations." Chen Yi said and broke into slow claps. "I was actually never recording a video. But by your successive actions of destroying the evidence, you have proven yourself guilty of framing me."

When Chen Yi said those words, it took some time for w.a.n.g Hualing to register them. But when she did, she almost could not bring herself to believe her reality. She choked. "What the — What the actual f.u.c.k!" Mouth wide open in incredulity, eyes br.i.m.m.i.n.g with stupefaction, she stared at Chen Yi. 

Li Guang had been witnessing everything speechless the whole time. The situation was too ludicrous if anything else. The way Chen Yi played w.a.n.g Hualing like a fool — Li Guang had no words.

He was certain that if his younger son had been lucky enough to witness this spectacle, he would be whistling and cheering in the background.

"So," Chen Yi regained her provocative smile. "What were you saying? Ah, yes! We must hold those family rules in high regard. Not only that Ling Jie would follow those rules and go with the punishment if proven guilty."

Chen Yi's voice was light and breezy with an edge of friskiness. It was pleasant to the ears.

But not for w.a.n.g Hualing of course. It was akin to the summons to d.a.m.nation for w.a.n.g Hualing. "No one saw anything. How can you blame me for trying to frame you?" If Chen Yi believed that w.a.n.g Hualing would go along her ploy, she had another thing coming.

"Oh, then does Ling Jie have any excuse for her actions to destroy my phone?" Chen Yi listlessly said.

w.a.n.g Hualing realized that she had been played like a fool and forced into a position where she could not defend herself. Now, no matter what she did, suspicion could not be shaken off from her. Her nerves were at their limit.

"You are despicable! You fell to such low tricks to have others suspect me?"

"Let's leave the decision to decide whether those were tricks or truth to the Elder amongst us." Chen Yi laughed.

w.a.n.g Hualing wanted to claw at that repulsive woman's face. "Brother Li, do you now see what sort of a woman she is? What kind of lowly tricks she is using?"

Being called out, Li Luxian only stepped forward and wrapped his arm around Chen Yi's shoulder to display his support.

How could w.a.n.g Hualing tolerate this?

"Worthless garbage!" She seethed. "Do you have any shame left in you to be playing such cheap tricks? Why don't you go around and sell your body for the wh.o.r.e you are since you have no respect!" w.a.n.g Hualing spoke what came to her mind.

At this instant, she had even forgotten that Li Guang was in their proximity and she must preserve her image in front of him.

"Enough!" A strong and resonant voice echoed through the lounge. 

Before Li Luxian could step forward to defend his wife, Li Guang had struck his limit. His expressions were livid. His cold expressions were terrifying. "w.a.n.g Hualing I have had enough of you!"

The subject of his anger was no one other than w.a.n.g Hualing.

Once being called out, w.a.n.g Hualing realized things had already pa.s.sed the point before which they could be redeemed. At this instant, she felt so angry that tears gathered in her eyes. "Why?" She asked. "I ask you why? What qualifications does this woman have that you must support her."

Through Li Guang's att.i.tude, w.a.n.g Hualing had already realized that he held no bitterness towards Chen Yi. w.a.n.g Hualing could not understand why. Since he was Li Luxian father, w.a.n.g Hualing had always played close attention to create an amicable relations.h.i.+p with Li Guang. 

w.a.n.g Hualing despised Li Shanguaan. But she had a different opinion of Li Guang. So she had always put an extra effort to get him to like her. In the beginning, Li Guang had always been supportive of her engagement with Li Luxian.

Observing her expression that read 'I have been wronged' Li Guang face didn't soften in the least. He just had a basic understanding of this w.a.n.g Hualing. Because of the way the w.a.n.g family spoiled her, she had an ingrained sense of ent.i.tlement. She believed she was the best and deserved the best treatment. "You have not only used deception but insulted a member of the 'Li' family. Do you know how you must be punished?"

"No!" w.a.n.g Hualing denied immediately. Never in her entire life had anyone dared to do as much as. .h.i.t her. Who was this Li Guang to punish her?

Li Guang's eyes darkened. "Since you are not going to follow the family rules and this is your first offense, I can overlook," w.a.n.g Hualing heart had just eased a bit when Li Guang said. "But from now on, you are no longer welcomed in the Li family. And..." His lips curled down in disapproval. "From now on, you can no longer call me Father Li."

It was simple. 

Either w.a.n.g Hualing accepted the punishment or she lost everything she had with the 'Li' family. The next offense she committed, she would not be able to save herself using the excuse of being a close friend of the family.

Everything was clear in Li Guang's mind. Li Guang could accept w.a.n.g Hualing minding their long term alliance with the w.a.n.gs as long as w.a.n.g Hualing didn't go overboard and do something that could not be tolerated. But...she had already gone overboard. She had already broken the boundaries Li Guang had set in his mind.

She had done something that could not be excused.
