The boys took out their swords and pointed it towards me. The girl was standing behind the two boys, looking at me with caution.

I wouldn't exactly blame the young adolescents. If I ever saw a skeleton as a human, I'd be cautious too. I tried to speak,

"Wait. Don't do anything. I don't mean to harm you. The swords in my hands are merely drop items."

The three humans looked even more cautious. The girl behind them looked frightened. What was happening?

"Relax. I know a speaking skeleton is out of the norm, but it shouldn't be this frightening right?"

The boys started speaking gibberish with one another. I tried to make sense out of their words, and failed miserably, as I couldn't understand the slightest bit of what they were trying to say.

All of a sudden, one of the boys plunged towards me with a sword. I quickly took a step back and countered with Skele in my right hand. The other boy decided to help his friend by trying to stab me with his sword. I, of course, being the great skeleton swordsman I am, stabbed the boy with Spider before he could land the blow.

The boy fell down and started to twitch. He started rapidly twitching and vibrating like crazy. The other boy drew his sword back and tried attacking me once again. This time, I stroke with Spider. Now both the boys started twitching rapidly. The girl fell down from shock and started muttering gibberish while dragging her body back in fear.

What the heck was wrong with these people? I try to reasonably speak with them and they try to attack me?

Whoa. How did I muster that thought? A second ago I couldn't even think properly. Was this because of leveling the skill?

But still, the mystery of the two twitching boys remained. For all I knew, they had a cardiac arrest during the confrontation.

I shook my head and tried to focus on the situation. In the time that I had zoned out, the girl had disappeared. The two boys that were twitching had now stopped.

Nani?! I didn't mean to kill them! I had stabbed them on purpose. If I wanted to kill them, I would've chopped them down. No! They were just teens! Oh G.o.d!

I was panicking and wasn't able to come to a rational conclusion. I didn't know what to do. Of all things, I needed to smoke. I couldn't bear the guilt. Things were rus.h.i.+ng too fast. I had just arrived in this world and this had happened!

What is freakin' wrong with this guy! It interrupts my mood like a man collecting debt. And why in the living h.e.l.l would I obtain a skill called poisoner?!

Oh... So the fluid on Spider was poison.... Right.... So that's how they died...

Urgh... Why couldn't I think before acting? If there's one thing I know, I should level up [Overthinking] as fast as possible.

Since the system announced a t.i.tle called slayer, I hope killing monsters would do. Continuing on this path of killing humans would be too much for a light hearted person such as myself.

I mean a light-hearted skeleton.

Wait. Skeletons don't have hearts.

Huff...What kind of twisted humorous joke am I?

Putting that aside, I don't think it would be feasible to call a sword Spider. I guess I'll name it Poise.

Get it? Poise because of the poison...

I immediately regret this decision... but oh well, let's just go with the flow.

5 minutes had pa.s.sed and the corpses didn't disappear. Maybe the 5 minute rule only applied to monsters. Well, if I can't obtain anything out of them, I guess I should bury the two teens just like skeleton-san. But first, I'll take their belongings. I already had two swords, so I grabbed a set of leather boots from one of the corpses. I picked up a set of gloves from the other. After stealing from these two corpses, I buried them with their swords sticking out like tombstones.

And so, after killing a bunch of monsters and two innocent teens, my journey as a ma.s.s-murdering, corpse-stealing, light-hearted skeleton began.
