Leopard whined,"But it'll go faster with two people."
A frown etched its way into Hypocrite's brow," No, we'll need you later on. If you run out of energy midway, you'll be useless." His words were harsh, but worked.
"Fine, I'm gonna take a nap then. Little fly, come over here!"
Still calling me by that nickname I see. I still oblige to his request, walking over as he turns back into his animal form. Once I'm close enough, his paw swoops me into his fur as he curls up into a ball,"Wake me up when the foods ready." He starts snoring immediately after, with me tucked in his embrace.
Inhaling fur, I turn my face away and try to get out of his hold. My attempt is in vain, as I have no strength to push his paw away. I resign to letting myself lay in his fluffyness, taking advantage of this moment to cuddle. What? If you can't beat them, join them. Plus...I've always had a soft spot for soft, fluffy things.
While fully enjoying the soft texture, I bring my attention over to Hypocrite. I keep unconsciously petting the fur as I watch Hypocrite cook the food.
With no change in expression, he skinned, cut up, and cooked the rabbits. His unnerving att.i.tude while lopping off its head, stilled my hand for a moment. After the third and last hare, the scene normalized and I continued to touch the fluff in content.
