Alex kept comforting her by rubbing her back. Patrick saw the scene from afar. He had gone to the house parked the car met Mrs Shaw and given his greetings. Patrick took the chance and spoke to her regarding Dr Shaw being so upset over something and he was informed by her that the sycamore tree which is a significant part of s.h.i.+rley's childhood and youth was about to be cut down by the construction company tomorrow. They were fighting for the park to be saved but lost to the construction company as the company pulled some strings to win. He listened to every bit of it and called his boss. He informed Daniel everything. After hearing Daniel couldn't believe that the head strong, rude, arrogant Neurosurgeon was so pa.s.sionate and vulnerable because of a tree.

Michael ordered few things to Patrick and said in an authorative tone " You know what to do.... Get it done .. Noone should know about it .." Patrick replied hastily " Got it Sir." He then got busy making few calls and then he finally got the things done what his boss asked him to get done. He gave out a huge sigh of relief and then called his boss " Sir it's done. " Daniel replied " Make sure Dr Shaw doesn't find out about it. " He replied " Yes sir. " And kept the phone. He then went to the tree to see how Dr Shaw was doing. When he reached he saw Dr Shaw in a man's embrace. He was a bit hesitant at first and waited but after sometime. He made a throat clearing voice and the unknown man turned.

The man was tall, handsome, with a chisiled jaw line , his starry eyes and his face had a look that could melt any girls heart in an instant. He couldn't speak so he just blankly started at them thinking in his head ' Are they a couple? No can't be .. I had found out she is single and no ties with any guy whatsoever. Not even a boyfriend in the past 6 years. Then who is he?' Alex have him a look as if asking who he was and firmly held on to s.h.i.+rley. Patrick understood his actions and was about to introduce himself by then s.h.i.+rley noticed him and asked "Patrick ! Did you find my place?" He gestured by nodding and said " Mrs Shaw was a bit worried about you so I came to look for you."

s.h.i.+rley looked at Alex gave out a sigh and wiped her tears off and smiled at him. She felt a little giddy. He smiled in response and bended a little and lifted her up in his arms in bridal style. As he knew she gets giddy after crying , she tucked her arm around his and rested her head on his shoulder. He took her home and Patrick who saw this was awestruck as they looked awesome together. And he thought in his head ' Oh G.o.d what am I thinking my boss is much better than him he is more gorgeous, more handsome.... and if he knew my thoughts earlier he would have killed me.'

In London, Daniel Marshall heard all about Dr Shaw from Patrick and was lost deep in his thoughts. He was thinking to himself ' Is she the same girl whom he met 15yrs ago.. can't be... But they look so similar and that mark on her ankle it's a rare birth mark to have...' He huffed and tried to concentrate on his work. After an hour his secretary called and told him that there is someone called Miss Rose Wallace who sent come to meet him. His expressions changed, eyebrows furrowed and he tried controlling his anger and replied ask Miss Rose Wallace to be seated in the guest area and serve her something, I will finish my work and come. He was fuming in anger and trying to vent it out. When suddenly he got a call from Patrick saying the work is done. He felt content.

His cell phone beeped just a few seconds later, he just opened it to see it was a message from Dr s.h.i.+rley Shaw and it said ---" You have done a huge favor for me. Thanking you with words are not enough ... But still 'Thank you for all your help'. His mood lifted up instantly and he replied back "U R WELCOME" and he was no longer angry and he had all smiles when he walked out of his office that even his secretary was amazed that her Boss was actually "smiling" that's something that never happened she thought.

He was walking towards Miss Rose Wallace with the same smile that the young lady siyting on the couch waiting mistook it as if he was happy about seeing her. She said " I am really thankful to know that you are happy to meet me!" Daniel lowered his head a bit and said with a cold expression that gave everyone the chills " There is nothing happy about seeing you Miss Rose Wallace. And my happiness has nothing to do with you .. whatsoever. Don't make conclusions on your own... What are you here for Miss Rose?"
