Reliving The Past ~ Mage Of The Abyss 35 Chapter 30 ~ Mithra

After bidding their farewell, Siola and Linda head back into the car.

"…"

Which… Siola is puffing her cheeks, full of sweat. Her aunt is glaring at her like she's about to shoot blood from her eyes. Gritting her teeth, "Just wait until we get home. I'll teach you about how to respect your elders, oh princess."

Siola's sweats keep dripping rapidly. Linda went to gas up and drove the car in super-fast speed, her wrath can be seen from miles away.

The car went far away and been through several roads, the traffic is almost nonexistent here due to the invention of the road tunnel and the flying cars.

Looking outside the window, the scenery of the urban city calms her down, Siola that is. Her palm is sweating, not because of her aunt's punishment that is about to come, but the problem even greater than that. The Mithra Family, her family.

After a while of following the road led them to the far side of the island, they pa.s.sed through multiple mounts, and the house where Siola used to live is already on sight.

'Haa… can't believe I see that cursed house again.'

The house is simply ma.s.sive, it's like a castle with multiple layers on land needed to be pa.s.sed through before reaching it.

'Just why would Aunt Linda brings me back here, I know I spent 100k of her money, but… was that all? I don't want to doubt her intent, I'm sure she has a reason for bringing me back there, but still…'

Sighing, 'I don't want to meet those s.h.i.+theads again. I wonder if she really did tell the truth, that Rosa left the house, if so… it would be easier for me, but if she's still there. I don't know what I'm going to say to her.'

'My sister, Rosa. She used to be a really wonderful person, I look up to her so much. I don't understand why she would do all that to me. Every time I try to mediate things with her, she would be very aggressive to me. Saying that I'm just filth and a disgrace to the family. Since when did it go wrong? We used to walk hand in hand around the park with a smile on our face."

"…"

Wiping the sweat on her forehead, 'What did I do wrong?'

"We're here, sweetie."

Siola's eyes widened. Without warning, they are already pa.s.sed through all those layers and arrived right in front of the main house.

*Bak*

Linda got out of the car and opened up the back-seat door, "Let's go."

"N-No, wait, no, I don't want to!"

Linda's brows tilted, she gritted her teeth and grabbed Siola's wrist, "Come here you. Don't fight me too much!"

"N-No, NOO! HELP MEEE, I'M BEING KIDNAPPED!"

"Siola!" shouted Linda. She forcefully dragged Siola out of the car and hugged her like a doll, she tries to flail around and resist her, but it's all in vain.

*Fwoooomph*

The car drove itself out of the area and then they walked in.

The area of the house is filled with my green plants, it's almost like a forest. The building itself is white and covered in many lines of gold.

They were greeted by several maids. The head maid is an old lady, she stepped forward and then bowed, "Welcome home, young miss."

Siola puffed her cheeks and turned away, "Traitor." it was years ago, but she still remembers the event where she asked the head maid to keep quiet about Siola leaving the house on her own, but she ignored it and told her parents about it.

The head maid knows it's futile to talk to her, thus, she can only sigh.

Linda put her down and asked the maid, "Do they already know we're coming?"

"Yes, my lady. This way."

Linda grabbed Siola's hand, "Let's go."

She only gazed at her and gave up, there is nothing she can do to avoid it, it's inevitable.

The maids follow behind them, and they enter a large hall. Going up on the stairs on the left the went to another large door and enters several hallways before arriving at their destination. They went inside, opening the door, they saw three people sitting comfortably on a sofa.

The two of them are her parents and the last one is her grandfather sitting alone in his mighty and comfy... chair. The maid went beside him and inform that the guest has come.

He put down his tea and s.h.i.+fted his piercing eyes to Siola, "So you're back, I see."

"…"

Her parents quickly turned their heads, "Siola?"

'Welp, it looks like only grandpa knows it that I'm coming. Haa… I'm sure he was the one that brought father and mother into this too.' thought Siola.

She didn't notice it, but her mother has long s.h.i.+fted her attention to Linda, who is smirking and it's being directed at her. The dispute between Linda and Siola's mother is still unknown to Siola. Her mother gritted her teeth knowing there is nothing she can do.

Her grandfather gruntingly commanded, "Sit."

Linda grabbed Siola's shoulder and walked to their seat whilst glancing at the mother.

"What is the reason this time for you to bring her back, Lind?"

Linda has "negotiated" several times trying to convince Siola's grandfather, to get Siola's back in the house. However, he refused all of her "request". With the atmosphere still heavy, Linda responded, "Siola... she is just not ready to live on her own. The money I gave her… she's already spent them all on some useless toys."

Siola felt offended, "Auntie, they're not—"

"Silence," said the grandfather.

The grunting voice of his father is like a thundering sound of a tier 11 spell to her. Siola quickly shut her mouth and locked them.

The grandfather looked back to Linda, and she then continues, "Instead of making use of the money and start up a business or get a better house, she just spends all of them in that toy, and she even lied to me about it."

Hearing all of that, Siola is so badly wanted to clear things up, but no one would believe her. Plus, her grandfather's stare is slowly killing her.

"Yuri never taught her to be independent, she's already 21 years old and she can't even cook properly for herself. We can't have her live alone out there, especially in that rotten place."

Again, Siola wanted to correct her so badly. She knows how to cook, she knows how to make good meals and properly takes care of her body in the said rotten place, but again! Absolutely n.o.body would believe her.

Yuri, Siola's mother, said, "We sent her there so that she can learn about it, and yet you… you give her money without our permission."

"Heh, why do I need YOUR permission to take care MY own child."

She gritted her teeth, Yuri stood up and yelled, "She's not yours!" her eyes start getting red. 'Hm?' Siola saw it, 'Is she crying?'

The grandfather spoke, "What Yuri said was true. At least, you could have told us first before sending the money. Giving as much as 100.000$ to someone out of nowhere, it's bound to get into their head…" glaring at the frightened Siola, "But it is also true that it seems like she is not ready to live alone. The three of you spoiled her too much."

s.h.i.+fting his eyes to the father, "Kikojei, what do you think?"

Kikojei glanced at Siola, and then sighed, "Father, Siola is still young. Maybe it is true that we were too rash back then. Why don't we take her back to college and send her living in the dorm?"

Siola's eyes widened, "N-NO! I don't want—"

*BAM*

The grandfather yells, "You don't have a say in this! Keep your mouth shut and stay silent!"

Siola trembles, glancing down she thought, 'So my life is not in my own hands now?'

"Her laziness would make the effort futile, plus, knowing that she can sneak out whenever she wants… I don't want that."

Linda grinned, the time for her to voice out her plan has come, "Then, how about letting her live with me?"

Yuri and Siola's eyes widened. Linda continues, "I can a.s.sure you that she won't be able to sneak out, and at the same time, I can teach her about being independent."

"Hmm, you think I'd believe that after you gave that much money to her? You're the one whom I'm worried about."

"I gave it to her with the thought that she would use them wisely, but it turns out she didn't. It truly pains my heart to see her like this, so… wouldn't it be better if there is someone that is close to her... watches her finance closely?"

"You have a point. But, what about your work?"

"It is nothing to be concern about. I can also bring her with me and teach her about business while I'm working."

"Hmm…" the grandfather is pondering in his thought.

"No, you can't take her!" Yuri suddenly yelled. Linda lifted her brows, "Hmm? Why can't I?" she said smugly.

Yuri turned her head, "Father, you can't be serious considering Siola to live with HER, she's the one who caused all of this."

"…" the grandfather stays silent.

Linda said, "What are you talking about."

"Don't you dare act like a fool! You were the one who told Siola about Rosa's party, and makes her confront Rosa in front of everyone!"

A slight grin appeared on Linda's face, "Heh, if I remember correctly, it was you that was hiding it from her."

"Don't try to twist it! Had you not told her, all of this wouldn't have happened. Siola would still be in college and live her life normally like all the kids her age!!"

"Oh? You want her to live by becoming the mascot to the university?"

"You,,," Yuri's eyes started to form tears, she turned her head to Siola and quickly try to grab her hands, but Siola backed away in fear. Knowing what she has done to her, terrifies her. Yuri was shocked, she expected this reaction, but it still hurts nonetheless.

She s.h.i.+fted her eyes to Linda, and she saw her smirking, it's as if she already knows that she's going to win. Pains started to throb inside Yuri's chest, "S-Siola, you, you're not going to go with her, right? You want to stay here with us, r-right? You want to go back home, don't you?"

Siola went into a pause, 'Is she trying to win an Oscar or something? Don't joke with me, you were the one who set Rosa and that f.u.c.ker together, like h.e.l.l I want to go back to you!'

Unfortunately, she can't voice out her thoughts. She can only stay quiet and wait for the verdict of her fate comes. Linda saw this as another point for her, s.h.i.+fting her eyes to Yuri, seeing her crying tears… truly makes her heart pounding in blistering joy. It is obvious from a glance which one Siola would want to choose, which one she would pick between them.

After a silent air, Yuri sat back and covered her eyes.

*Sob *Sob

Siola… in her mind, clicked her tongue, 'f.u.c.king crocodile tears' her eyes widening in anger, 'Not only you hide that from me, you even went in and supported those people against me.'

Remembering the event prior to all of this. It was a few weeks ago. Siola went to Rosa's party, trying to sabotage it by setting the flowers surrounding the main stage on fire. She got caught doing it and was dragged to the main stage to be humiliated, she saw Rosa in a fancy red dress and drilled hair, grinning in satisfaction as she saw Siola got vegetables being thrown at her with tomatoes all over her body.

She can't reason to anyone about this since all of the guests are not her allies nor her enemies. However, because she got caught red-handed trying to do malicious things, there is no complaining what these people would do to her.

All the spotlight is onto her, and all the people throw the vegetables and food in anger, some even laugh. Siola put all of her might to defend herself, but all the food went all over and they won't stop coming. This went on for a while as they start the party with her becoming the tool for everyone's entertainment.

Her sister would even go as far as to go on stage to humiliate her even further, "Siola Mithra, everyone. My sister. Can you all believe what she tries to do to me?"

Siola is crying her tears while being covered with all sorts of food.

"My little sister... is trying to sabotage her own sister's party. How bold is that?!"

Everyone booed at Siola.

"Can anyone tell me, just what exactly did I do… to deserve this? This… betrayal." She walks back and forth, "Was it because I 'stole' a fiancé that she never loves, a 'fiancé' that she never wants. The said fiancé over there, a very wonderful person, I love you, honey!" giving a kiss with her hand in the air, "What exactly... did I do…" turning her body around and looked down on Siola, staring her in the eye, "… That makes you … do this to me."

Siola's tears keep flowing down even further, and as soon as she tries to speak.

*PLASH*

Rosa slapped her.

As Siola s.h.i.+fted her eyes to her, she saw Rosa's expression hardened to a disgust. She didn't care if she dirtied her hand. "You're a disgrace to our family, you're a disgrace to our mother, you're a disgrace… to me, sister…" turning around as she leaves the stage, she said, "I'm disappointed."

Going back to the present, having to remember all that, Siola's chest tightened.

After a long thought, the grandfather finally spoke, "Very well."

All eyes are widened, Linda said, "Then…"

s.h.i.+fting his eyes to her, "Siola will stay, but not with you." Yuri's eyes lightened.

Linda asked, "Huh, wait, father. But why?"

"Letting her walk around in the loose, that is something you would do. If she's going to be reeducated, she will stay here with us. Sadrin!"

The head maid walked in once more, "Yes, my lord?"

"Take Siola to her room and lock her in. Do not let her go outside under any kinds of circ.u.mstances! I also do not permit anyone to enter her room without MY permission!!"

"Huh?" Siola looked left and right, no one is saying anything.

Once the grandfather has decided, no one can bend his will. His saying is absolute.

The head maid along with some other maids grabbed Siola's hand. "W-Wait, no, I-I don't want to" turning her head back to her aunt, "Auntie! Help me! I don't want to go back!" she flails around, "NOO! GET AWAY FROM ME! AUNTiiiiieeeeeee…"

Her aunt clenches her fists, she couldn't bring herself to look Siola in the eye. She thought that it went perfectly and smoothly, but who would've thought this was the outcome. There is absolutely nothing she can do now.

Siola... being dragged out of the door, the vision of them started leaving her sight.

*Bam*

The door has been closed… and Siola is no more.
