Gangland Fantasy 6 The Ambush

Another day pa.s.sed. They are expecting to reach the boarder of the Empire by tomorrow. The guards are more alert now. Transporting these 15 slaves are important. The number is quite few but there are many special slaves in the cargo. The old orc was a former warrior and magic blacksmith, the old elf is a village leader with high light magic power, the four bandits are actually elves too with high magic capacity, there's also a former princess and a failed human experiment. There are other races here too.

After half day of traveling, they are now pa.s.sing the known Valley of Lords. They decided to camp here. There were four ancients statue here. A knight looking statue is holding a sword, a barbarian looking statue is with an axe, a wizard statue is holding a staff while a scholar looking statue is holding a book. No one exactly know when or why the ancient people build these statues. These four looks overbearing but no treasures can be found which is the reason why after hundred of years n.o.body cared to study them anymore. Anyway, the statues are far away from the boardering kingdoms and empire.

It is now midnight but Old Drun suddenly opened his eyes. The elves in the cargo opened their eyes. Naga, didn't open his eyes but he noticed the changes in their environment. The aura of bloodthurst and death are thick. There are warriors hiding in the forest and also a.s.sa.s.sin moving in the shadow. The guards drew their weapons and allerted everyone. The guards are somewhat expecting this. They know that there are group who are wis.h.i.+ng for their destruction.

"Don't waste our time! We know what you are planning. The Blue Flame will destroy you now!" The scholarly 5-meter tiger shouted. His shout is full of power. It was somehow oppressive. The area was shaken and there are warriors who actually died.

Naga didn't know what happened but he knows that this is due to the tiger's power. He was glad that he didn't try to offend the tiger by escaping a while ago.

"Hmph. So you are really escorting the group. Are you not afraid that someone will attack your lord now that you are outside your teritory, Devil Blue Fang?" A hooded man floating in the air showed dissatisfaction.

"Afraid? Us? Hahaha. You maggots are nothing compared to our Blue Flame's Master!" The tiger disdainfully said. However, he is quite alarmed as well with what the man mentioned.

Naga actually tried to peek. He wanted to see the battle. He wanted to know the formation. He wanted a chance of escaping. It seems that other prisoners are thinking the same thing.

"Attack! Attack the cargo! Kill the prisoners!" The hooded man commanded. After that, there are multiple shadows who jumped from the shadows. The guards saw it and started to defend.

"Well, that's right. Defend us!" Naga seems to be commanding the guards while peeking. Old Drun and Old Samuel seems to be thinking of something too.

'Who would have thought that I will experience a.s.sa.s.sination even though I am not a general anymore' Naga is thinking while looking at the formation of the guards. Old Drun and Old Samuel saw him and currently thinking that this kid is really special. They know that this kid is looking for option to escape. The four former bandits are thinking the same thing and know that the chances now are high.

Naga noticed that the left is actually weak compared to the other directions since it was impacted greatly by the force of the tiger's shout. He looked at the old men as if he is asking for cooperation. He wanted to escape now. Left is toward the scholarly looking statue. Naga thinks that the right time is now and he will go to the statue's direction. The prisoners are looking forward to it while the guards attention are being divided in fighting the ambushers and preventing the prisoners from escaping.
