Zhou Lei heard this suddenly as he made his way towards his bed. He was about to sleep, both anxious and excited for tomorrow. Who wouldn't be, after their youthful and beautiful teacher promised them to sleep together?
He stopped walking right in front of his bedroom door.
"Finally, this update is finished... What was I going to do again?" Zhou Lei wondered about the reason why he was looking forward to his system finis.h.i.+ng its upgrade.
Looking around, he saw his younger sister's room and was reminded of what he planned to do earlier.
"Ah, I remember!" Zhou Lei quickly entered the System interface.
Upon seeing it, he was shocked.
"What... am I looking at?" Zhou Lei uttered as his eyes widened, his head turning towards all directions.
The System interface... had completely changed! It now turned from something that looked like it came from Windows XP to a completely futuristic style!
"Well, let's see what else changed..." Zhou Lei looked around a bit more but was disappointed. Aside from the ma.s.sive disparity in the look of the interface before and now, nothing else changed.
"Hai... then let's see it!" Zhou Lei immediately opened his stats page. He scrolled down directly towards where his sister's stats were.
"Aha! There it is!" Zhou Lei nodded in satisfaction as he found what he was looking for very quickly.
On the interface, it said "Sister's Luck". The number beside it, Zhou Lei was dumbfounded at. 'It... it's no wonder I'm so unlucky whenever I'm with her!'
The number was 40. Sister's Luck was 40. However, the 40 had a negative sign before it...
Sister's Luck: - 40 (Avoid like the plague.)
"Sigh, I can only put more into this in hopes of her not disrupting me again..."
"In any case, I should check out mom and dad's luck too." Zhou Lei continued to scroll down rapidly.
"There!" Zhou Lei stopped scrolling down as he located his mother's stats.
Mother's Luck: 21 (This is pretty lucky, considering that you're satisfied with being average.)
"Eh... so-so, I guess." Zhou Lei had neither a disappointed nor a satisfied look on his face as he saw his mother's luck.
He continued to scroll down. Fortunately, the mother and father sections were right beside each other.
Father's Luck: 15 (Your past reincarnation must have done pretty bad stuff to acc.u.mulate this karma.)
"It's also so-so." Zhou Lei said.
Finally, he returned to the very top of the interface, intending to look at his own luck.
Host's Luck: -61 (Influences those around him.)
As Zhou Lei saw this, he got an urge to spit blood. His face turned incredibly pale as he wobbled, about to collapse. This was too much of a shock for him!
Wait! Zhou Lei thought of something. "Is that why I keep getting all of these detrimental bugs? There's also these pa.s.sive-aggressive... no, very aggressive System missions..."
"The lottery also, I keep getting useless things and cras.h.i.+ng the lottery!" Zhou Levi's eyes widened at this sudden revelation of his.
His luck... was completely horses**t!
.....
Wen Hui's room.
The teacher, Wen Hui, was very anxious about tomorrow. Of course, this was in part because the elimination round for the survival series she was watching was going to be commenced the next day.
However, the majority of her anxiousness came from her promise with her student... to let him sleep with her.
"Ahh! What kind of request is that?! Furthermore, I actually agreed? Was I secretly drugged that time?"
She was on her bed, her two hands holding a pillow over her face, covering it. She was rolling around the bed noisily.
After a while, she stopped.
"But... he is very handsome, very handsome indeed... No!" Wen Hui denied herself.
"Why would I agree to have *** with him just because he's handsome? Am I that desperate?!" She was also getting angry at herself. Oh, why did she ever agree to this request?
She eventually calmed herself down again.
"In any case, I can't refuse him, or else he'll threaten me. After all, I sent him some... rather outrageous photos."
She could vividly remember it.
...
There she was, in the bathroom, taking a shower. Her phone suddenly rang, and she rushed out to answer it.
"Teacher Wen, why are you so late?!"
"It's because..."
After a flurry of excuses, the princ.i.p.al eventually hung up.
"Hai..." Wen Hui slouched as she made her way back to the bathroom, unknowingly bringing with her the phone.
As she was about to resume showering, she realized that something was in her hands. 'It's... it's my phone? I never let go of it, hai...'
As she looked outside the bathroom, she noticed the wet floor, caused by the drips of water as she ran out. She didn't want to increase that puddle...
Looking at her phone, and looking towards her mirror, she suddenly felt a strong urge... an urge to take pictures!
...
Looking back at it now, it seemed like she made a lot of irrational decisions just to make the plot work – scratch that last part.
For example, when she didn't want to "increase" the puddle, she was going to clean it anyway, why bother conserving the current amount?
All in all, she was very irrational. This was her nature, not because the plot wouldn't work if she wasn't. Definitely not because of the plot.
