"Pfft! Hahaha!" Ma Xiaoli never felt more amused in her life.

Zhou Lei felt self-conscious seeing the boisterous laughter of the girl beside him. Little did he know that there was foam left under his nose... forming quite a cute mustache.

Lin Guiying noticed this too, but it wasn't like it was that funny. She giggled a little bit inside, but that was it.

Fan Xinyue felt the same way as her. The two girls glanced at each other before turning back to the laughing Ma Xiaoli.

No one knew why Ma Xiaoli found such a simple foam mustache hilarious. Even she herself didn't know the exact reason.

The truth was, she shared the same opinion as the two girls in front of her. Yet, she couldn't stop the laughter from coming out of her mouth.

Zhou Lei didn't know about the situation at all. He looked at Lin Hanying and had a confused expression on his face.

In response, she raised her pointer finger and brushed it along her upper lip.

He realized what was wrong and grabbed the tissue the waiter handed them, wiping off the foam above his lips.

Despite him taking actions to get rid of the supposed funny element, Ma Xiaoli didn't stop laughing. On the contrary, her voice got even louder.

"Uh... Xiaoli, are you okay?" Zhou Lei was starting to get concerned. This cla.s.smate of his never acted so weirdly in cla.s.s when they talked. The composed image that Zhou Lei had in his mind of Ma Xiaoli was shattered into pieces as he witnessed a side of her he didn't know prior.

This special side of Ma Xiaoli only came out on rare occasions. The last time it showed itself was on her third birthday, a decade and a half ago. From that day on, she never let out her emotions as much as today.

The three couldn't do anything but watch as the built-up emotions inside of Ma Xiaoli let themselves out explosively.

After a few minutes, Ma Xiaoli finally stopped laughing, tears coming out of her eyes.

She laid her head down on the table, her stomach experiencing a severe ache. Of course, who wouldn't after such a display?

"Lei... sorry for ruining the atmosphere." Ma Xiaoli apologized, sincerity finally present in her voice.

Upon hearing her apology, Zhou Lei showed a wonderful smile... "Ruining the atmosphere? You did quite the opposite there – you elevated it!"

Before she laughed her a.s.s off, the tension around the group suffocated every single one of them. He didn't like an atmosphere such as that...

However, now that she disrupted the seriousness, what was left was a blank slate in which they could restart their interactions again, but in a brighter light than before.

Seeing the joyful expression on Zhou Lei's face, the three girls couldn't help but blush.

His face was already so handsome, but his smiling face was on a whole new level.

They couldn't help but capture a mental image of his face to save it for future use... Ahem, let's not talk about that...

"Young Madam, it appears that the group made peace with each other..." Secretly heaving a sigh of relief, Lackey Gao reported the current situation to Ye Muqi.

"Yes, ma'am!" With a hint of excitement in his voice, Lackey Gao enthusiastically answered, confirming his boss's doubts...

Ye Muqi fell silent for a good few seconds. Her formerly straight back slumped over and fell towards the backrest of the chair she sat on.
