Second Chance In The Apocalyptic World 36 Just 1Day!

"If it isn't my good for nothing son!" Matt heard a voice from his right and saw his father, Jonathan Smith, standing there with his arms crossed and stern expression on his face.

"Why am I a good for nothing dad?" Matt asked, he knew whenever his father was angry at him he would call him a good for nothing.

"Why are you here only now? Your other friends came back almost a week earlier than you!" said Johnathan.

"Oh come-on John, I know you missed him and were upset that he wasn't coming back but now that he is shouldn't you be happy" said Maria coming in to defend her son.

"When did I miss him? Stop trying to lie and defend your son" Johnathan retorted while trying to look less embaressed by the fact that his wife just spilled the beans.

"Ha ha ha.... I missed you too dad. But the reason that I didn't came earlier was that I had to finish some work that I started so that when I come back here, I wouldn't have to worry about anything else" Matt explained.

"Uncle Matt! Uncle Matt! look look I made a drawing of the family" a sweet voice was heard by Matt as his pants were tugged by someone.

When he looked down he saw that it was his niece Suzy who was holding onto a drawing sheet which had a drawing on it.

"Oh really than let me see" Matt said as he picked up Suzy with one hand while holding on to her drawing woth the other hand.

The drawing was much better than any ordinary 4 year old childs drawing Matt could easily find who was who, He also knew about this skill of his niece when she gained the ability which was related to drawing, hers was one of the few unique ones that no other person possesed as most of the abilities were related to one of the known elements and having a unique abilty such as Suzy.

"Our Suzy is a great artist, why don't we make a potrait of this and hang it here in house" Matt said

"Really! Yes let's do that" Suzy said and started laughing.

"Uncle Matt, pick me up as well" the nephew Chris of Matt came running towards him after getting down fron his fathers shoulder.

"OK OK" Matt said as he carefully placed the drawing of Suzy and picked up Chris with his other hand.

"I still don't understand why they like him so much when they don't even see him much" asked Mary

"That is the reason dear, because they don't see their uncle Matt that much whenever they see him both of them want him to spend his time with them so as to fullfill for the lost time" replied Maria to her daughters question.

"Eww.... uncle is smelling bad" Chris said

"Yea, what did you do uncle" Suzy said making a funny face.

"Yeah I wanted to do some exercise so instead of taking the bus here I decided to run so that's why I may smell funny" Matt replied.

"Oh my why did you do that? Go and take a bath. And where is you bag I didn't see it outside?" Maria asked

Matt stopped at his tracks and cursed himself in his mind as he forgot about taking his bag out from the inventory.

"About that I didn't bring any luggage as I knew that there were still some of my clothes here" Matt replied.

"Oh! than go and take a bath. Have you eaten your dinner yet" Maria asked

"Yes I have mother don't worry" said Matt as he walked towards his old room to take some clothes from there so that he could wear them as he can't take out is new ones.

It had been 44 days since Matt returned back in time with his survival system in that time Matt not only made himself strong but he didn't forgot about his closed ones. His best friend Mike got the ability of Rock manipulation which comes under the earth element, it is a strong offensive and defensive ability which made a perfect sense for him, how much he had grown was unkown to him as he was still angry with him.

Mike's girlfriend and Matt's friend Rose gained the ability of water generation which unlike Jim's ability could generate water from the condensation in the air and manipulate for her use and same as Mike she hadn't talked to him much but still expressed her thanks for the meat that he gave to her for her family.

Susan Matt's girlfriendand Mike's elder sister only by few minutes as they are twins, gained an ability that was related to wood element which she could use 10 times now which was surprising as even Matt couldn't use his ability that many times but he knew that was because his ability was consiered much higer than Susans.Thoug she could even manipulate plants and trees which was a great ability in Matt's mind when he decides to create a sanctum of his own.

With that ability of Susan, Matt was sure that he cpuld even create a whole new sactrum for people to live, h.e.l.l if she could increase her abilities level to 6th then she would be a le to communicate with the plants and trees and use them as her eyes and ears to spy on the surrounding making it much easier to venture in the wild. Matt knew that because there were two people who had the same ability like Susan and both of them had used this important feature of their ability to save many lives.

Unfortunately none of the two people were from America, one was from china and the other was from India. Both countries had used those two people to make their own sanctums in the wild and because of them they didn't had to worry about their sanctum being raised by high level animals as when they reached the 7th level of their ability they were able to hide their sanctums by covering the whole sactums in plant's and trees.

Now that Matt had somone like that by his side than he could easily make his own sanctum in the wild making it the most secure from the zombies and oblivious to the beast.

There were many other things that Matt did while he stayed with his family.
