The Tylingariea Epic 42 Chapter 2 The Boatman

As the Six traveled to the Far Western Kingdoms the ground became less mountainous and more swampy soon the mountains all but disappeared. Adam asked Ralingar " where did all of the mountains with lava and fire go is this not part of the Western Kingdoms?" Ralingar replied " yes there is a lava part of the Western Kingdoms. But this is the Swampy region of the Western Kingdoms." Ralingar lead though a dense bog and then stopped at a large dock overlooking a swamp. Ralingar said " this is the Swamp and Marshes of Byigarak this is the only way to the Far Western Kingdoms."

Luke looked around and saw no way around the Swamp and said " how do we get across the Swamp?" Nina looked at her brother dumbfounded and said sharply "maybe we could use one of those boats from the nearby boathouse stupid! Think a little."

Luke replied sheepishly "sorry." The Six and Ralingar walked over to the Boathouse with was a large shake that had many oddly shaped boats outside of it some looked like it could fit all seven of them in it. once they reached the Boathouse they saw sitting in a large rocking chair was a tall muscular man holding a dagger made of a dark black metal while craving a piece of Ancient Mashwood into the shape of a spear.

The man had short black hair and had rough features, the man's eyes were light brown, he wore a grey Mashcat vest and over him was a finely woven Mashcat fur s.h.i.+rt. He also wore a pair of Swamp Snake skin gloves and Swamp Snake Skin Boots. Adam approached the man and said nervously " sir we are here to purchase one of your boats." The boatman looked up from his wood and as he walked the whole shake shook as he spoke it was like thunder "why should I give any of my boats to you. I am a giant and I don't sell boats anymore. Give me one good reason why I should not crash you like the ants that you all are!" Adam said to the Giant " can we just talk this out?" The Giant laughed " you must be a Terrain!"

then the Giant laugher turned to hatred and he said darkly as he turned to Adam "I don't like any of you, you Terrain all are disgusting worms to me! I will kill you Terrain!" the Giant thrust his foot down Adam closed his waiting to be squished but it did not happen. He opened his eyes and saw Kai'la grabbing the throat of the Giant and pinning him agaist the wall crying out " I have as much hatred for the Terra Empire as you do." She turned to Adam and thought " but I don't hate Adam, it is strange I have feelings for him but he is a Terrain."

She turned to the Giant and said " we must put our personal feelings aside and remember that Zargorwarth the Demon Lord is the real threat not the Terra Empire." The Giant replied " I am sorry I will get all a boat." Adam walked up to the Giant and asked him " what is your name?" he replied " my name is Boatman." Adam then asked Boatman " why do you hate the Terra Empire. I myself have no love for them so I can understand why you would want to kill me."

Boatman replied " many years ago the Terra Empire sent a fleet of s.h.i.+ps to my home planet this fleet killed everyone including my wife and child. I escaped and fleed here. I now live my life in exile from my own planet I know not why they wanted my race dead wither there is a reason logical or a act of random violence I know not. That is why I hate the Terrain Empire."

The Six got into the Boat and Boatman said to them " Good Luck" as Ralingar pushed the boat off into the Swamps and Marshes of Byigarak Jason asked Ralingar " what now?" Ralingar replied " now we travel though the Swamps and Marshes of Byigarak until we reach the end and the entrance of the Far Western Kingdoms. It might a while so you all should rest until we reach the Far Western Kingdoms." The Six laid down while Ralingar piloted the boat towards the Entrance to the Far Western Kingdoms
