Lucas being the oldest and Nova being the youngest of the three. Nova sat atop there medium sized mostly wooden home and looked out into the orange and red sky as Sangar the Destoyer was sitting in the distance.
she sighed and layed back her long bright orange hair falling behind her " i wish i could go and explore other worlds." Nova said a sense of wonder in her voice.
" Do you really?" Nat said climbing next to her he stared at her with his dark blue eyes a pleading look in them.
Nova smiled "no of course not, i could never leave you, Lucas and Mom." she paused her voice softing " i love living her but something feels odd." Nova said
Nat put his hand on her shoulder " you ok?" he asked Nova
" yeah just thinking." Nova said as she jumped down off of the roof before walking inside to get something to eat she looked up at the sky. its beutal colors of reds and blues, the stars s.h.i.+nning and the unknown of the planets far off in s.p.a.ce filled her with exitment and confusion. she wanted to stay, but knew somehow in her heart that there was something bigger that she had to do."
Nova thought about this the whole time that she ate dinner,
" I am leaving for Ventara tomorw. i have been accpted into the Hanzo Empire." Lucas said
The whole room became sillent for seval minutes.
Nova placed her silverware down and stood up
Juna looked at her " where are you going?" Juna asked
" i am going to go on a walk. i need to think." Nova said to her Mother.
" oh well i will go with you." Lucas said to Nova standing up
Nova replied calmly " No, i want to go alone."
Lucas confused about this replied " but it is dangerius out there."
Nova breathed in a deep breath " it is more dangerius in here." she replied putting on her coat
Lucas stood up and placed a hand on Novas shoulder " what do you mean? i would never hurt you. your my baby sister."
Nova replied without even looking at him " you already have by joining with them. Now let go of me."
Jana could see and feel the pain, the hurt, the confusion, the betrayel of her own brother emiting from her body. " Lucas let her go." Jana said frimly
Lucas relased her and without looking Nova left
Jana rushed out " Nova!" she cried to her Nova stopped as Jana embrached her in a full on hug. " if this is the last time i ever see you, i just want you to know that we all love you." Jana stood up her eyes tearing up as she took out a medium sized package wrapped in brown papper with a Multiuniverasl Transport card tied to the top.
Nova took and looked at her mother. " why?" she asked Jana replied " because you deseve more then this and i belive you have a more important puporse."
she paused "a purpose that reqiures you to leave her." Jana said
Nova nodded " where do you think i should go?"
Jana replied " not to long ago i got this package" she pointed at the package " it had a note on it from a childhood friend of mine that lives in Kendogar. he said if you were ever in there to come and see him he has to speak with you it is imporant."
Nova nodded her eyes tearing up as she embraced her mother who had cared for her for the past sixteen years" Ok, i will miss you so much. Mom" Nova said
they hugged for seveal minutes then Nova walked away " it is getting very late i should find a place to sleep. "
being that there was no inns Nova found a place near a large tree a ways away from Riverrock. Just as Nova was about to get to sleep " Are you sure that she is there?" a gruff voice said Nova then heard about twenty men
Her heart beated quickly as they walked right pa.s.sed her she could hear there armor sinking into the earth as there Plasma guns shook on there backs.
" Yes sir. a up and coming solider in formed us that the target we are looking for is there at the house about three miles down the road." a voice that sounded smaller and whezzer
" thank you Wexlen" the gruff voice replied to Wexlen
Nova stayed silent until they were gone " No. there not. he would have." she thought as Nova driffted to sleep " Lucas would never." Nova thought while she slept
" Would he?" a second voice replied
" what do you mean?" Nova thought
"What if in order for him to get into the Hanzo Empire he had to find someone at any cost." the voice replied
as Nova thought more and more as she slept the more she dreaded the worst until about two she got up and rushed back to her home
" Oh please Kara. let them be ok. Let me be wrong." She thought as Nova neared her home the hope that her family was alive sunk further and further as she saw nothing but ash.
Nova stopped and stared " my home. my life." she said.
" Maybe there still alive." Nova said as she looked for signs of life but saw none.
Just as Nova was about to give up she heard the small cry for help deep with in the rubble " Help!" Nova knew that voice it was Nat she rushed to where he was and gasped
his whole lower body had melted away "Nat!" she cried out as she tried to get to him but large chunks of wood were falling all around him
" Nova! your alive thank Kara!" Nat said as the platform that was holding him up tilted down " what happened!" Nova cried out
"Lucas called in Hanzos men and they burned everything they said we were harbering a being called Luna, Mom said there is no such thing and for that Lucas took her outside and shot her in both of her lungs then tied her to a nearby tree so she could watch me die." Nova filled with rage and sadness saw where Lucas had tied up his mother.
"Mom!" She cried as Nova untied her Jana fell into Novas arms her breath slowed " Mom! Mom! Nova cried out her face tearing up
Jana lifted her head slowly " I love you Nova. Find the Cube of Azadawn." Nova could feel Janas breath slowing and coming to a stop Nova felt the last of her mothers life force leave her body and asend into Overworld.
Nova sat there for what seemed like hours holding the lifeless body of her mother next to the ruins of her childhood home. the sky darked Nova stood up Thunder boomed and lighting crashed as Nova took the bodies of her family and buried them deep benth the earth on the ground that was once a home that she had loved and never wanted to leave.
Nova stood in the freezing rain for hours staring at there graves darkness set in her soul, her mission was set in stone, find the Cube of Azadawn, find the Luna and get to Kendogar to speak with this man.
Nova jumped back when she felt a warm hand on her shoulder " oh i am sorry to have starled you." a older man who looked to be in his late fourtys said he had long brown hair and light purple eyes.
" Who are you?" Nova said her voice sharp and unfriendly
the man replied " i am Jango Kain and i saw that you were out here so i wanted to see if you wanted to stay with me for a while at least until you can get back on your feet."
Nova replied moved by the mans kindness " yes that would be nice, thank you." she paused Jango lead her to a medium sized car Nova was in aw she had never seen such a thing before " what is that?" Nova said amazed
Jango looked at her confused " it is just a car. have you never seen a car before?" he asked Nova sincerly she shook her head. Jango smiled and said " ok, that is fine. there is a first time for everything. that is understable." he placed a hand on the machine.
" Old relics like this are only seen in junk heaps." Jango said the dark blue van its paint rusted and peeling away from age.
Nova got into the car and as Jango drove down the abanded road of the Ventara Woods, after what seemed like hours Nova was softly awoken by Jango " Nova we are here."
she opened her eyes and saw a medium sized home that was tucked away in the heart of the Ventara woods, the dark grey walls of the home looked to blend in with the forest and the house's windows seemed to stare down at the world benth it with a sadness that only it knew.
Nova stepped out and said " your home is beatuifl." Jango nodded " thank you, i have lived here my whole life." he paused for a few minutes and smiled " sometimes i feel like he and i are connected in a sense." Jango said more to himself then to Nova.
Jango returned to his sense and said "come lets go inside and get you a place to sleep." Nova nooded as she neared the ma.s.sive home she felt a chill run down her spine she did not know why but this home, this place, her life and what was and is happening to her were part of her destiny. a destiny that could very well shape the fabirc of all s.p.a.ce and time.
