The Tylingariea Epic 13 Chapter 11 The Journey Through The Valley Of The Dead

Morgone and Mariea looked around at their surroundings as they walked through the Valley of the Dead. Surrounding the Valley of the dead in a dome were the Mountains of Van'halo. there ma.s.sive craggy peaks towered over the valley.

As they walked though the Valley of the Dead Morgone saw broken and destoryed temples of G.o.ds long gone, dead from the battles of the G.o.d Wars. Mariea stopped and looked back to find Morgone had walked into one of the destroyed temples.

"Oh, Mariea i am so glad you came back." Morgone said his voice a dry monotone Mariea looked around and saw that the temple was covered in mystic runes and in the center sat a table were a dark red blade was broken in three pieces lay.

" Do you know of the G.o.d Wars?" Morgone asked Mariea not taking his eyes off of the blade he could feel it. The power of the Quinns flowing though the blade.

" i only know that The G.o.d Wars were the reslt of Kara and her brother Lupine having a disaggremnt." Mariea said

Morgone nodded " so you know nothing. Do you even know what you are looking at?"

Mariea did know that " yes that is Demonsong. The sword weilded by Ryi'june when he defeated Lupine Riddle. it is said that the blade was made by The Quinns cosmic beings older and far powerfuller then the Elder Lords."

Morgone nodded and said " those storys are quite true. i can atest to that."

"Destory it! you know you must!" Lupine cried out

Morgone held his hand back, it took every once of his will power to just walk out of the temple with out destorying the blade

"YOU FOOL!" Lupine screamed inside Morgones mind Morgone fell to the ground in pain Mariea knew something was wrong so they rested there for a few hours.

As they walked Morgone saw many dead skeleton-like creatures roaming about searching for food. Other creatures skins were dark green with mold and skin falling off of them. Morgone could hear their moans and groans that sounded like a thousand demons screaming in pain being tormented in the depths of Underh.e.l.l.

Morgone saw that these creatures were paying no attention to them. Some of the creatures had on Dark demon Amour with large black spikes jetting out and they held long fiery whips and would whip the other creatures that were dressed in rags and would yell out in a tongue that Morgone did not understand. Morgone asked Mariea " What are those creatures, why do they not care about us who are the ones whipping the creatures and what are they saying?" Mariea replied

"Those are the Dead Walkers they are the ones who are not on the Gatekeepers list and then sentenced to give up their mortal soul and became a slave to his Workmasters for all time who only speak in the Forgotten Speech." As they traveled through the valley it became intensely hot and there were less Dead Walkers. Morgone asked Mariea " Do you know where we are?" she replied " Yes, I do we are in the desert part of the Valley of the Dead. We should soon be approaching the wintery part of the Valley."

As they continued though the blistering heat, all of a sudden the heat turned into a ice storm. Morgone yelled over the storm " Mariea I see a pathway that leads up a mountain do we take it? Mariea replied " Yes we take it!" as they ran for the pathway that was enclosed inside of a mountain.

Morgone and Mariea walked into the dark and evil looking tunnel. As Mariea and Morgon walked into the tunnel they picked up a lit torch and as they were walking around they saw pictures of unknown origin painted on the walls.

Many of the pictures showed a man wielding a sword of pure light while surrounding him were the symbols for fire, water, earth, air, and ice, while fighting a huge dragon like beast. " What do all of the drawings mean." Mariea asked as she touched the drawing of the man wielding the sword.

" Mariea I found a way out to the other side." Morgone cried, as he had found a tunnel that lead from the Valley of the Dead to the Spire. Mariea said " Well you are almost there and this is were I leave you Morgone." Morgone asked surprised " Why?" Mariea replied " I do not want to go up to the Spire. The closer I get the more unstable I became." She paused and then said " I will give you one piece of advice, with all of the dark power of the Spire will come drastic transformations and side effects, the more power you obtain, the more warped your mind will become." Morgone replied "

How do you know my plan?" Mariea replied " I am not dumb, I knew from the start. I just was not going to stop you. I am only telling you this warning as a guide you can chose to ignore it if you wish."

Mariea paused and said sternly staring Morgone in the eyes Morgone gulped as he could see a burning fire beyond them.

The flames in her eyes scared Morgone, they spoke and said that she was serious.

" But as the princess of the Dragonkin and as someone who loves Tylingariea and does not wish to see it destoryed by you or my father. If you begin to harm this world, I swear the next time we meet will not be on friendly terms."

Morgone nodded " yes princess." he said

as He headed up the pathway that lead up the Spire. The pathway was steep and many of the pa.s.sage ways were blocked off so he had to use magic to move the boulders.

As he traveled up the Spire the pathways became wider as he reached the top all he could see were dark clouds. Once he finally reached the top of the Spire, Morgone could see the Seven Dark Power Crystals. He could all most taste the dark power. His first mission was nearly complete then he would be one step closer to his ultimate goal to find the six remaining Rings of Darkness.
