After a few minutes of talking, Emilia stopped crying. "I see... So you want to meet your parents?" Tina placed her hand on Emilia's shoulders. "There should be a carriage going to their place. I, myself self am going there too. Come with me." She smiled. Emilia slowly nodded. "Great, now I can take all of her money. That was easy." Tina thought to herself. "Well, let's go now. The carriage should be leaving any moment now." She smiled again.
In the carriage, Emilia sits near the window. She was s.p.a.cing out, focusing on the calm, and lush field. However, her memories started coming.
"Shut the h.e.l.l up, brat!" Her father hits her with a belt. Behind him was her mother, laughing at Emilia's suffering.
Emilia slowly began to tear up, but she controlled it. She wiped them off and looked back at her aunt. "This'll be a 12-hour trip, so I hope you'll enjoy it." Tina offers her some tea with a huge smile on her face. "No thanks, I prefer coffee." Emilia slowly pushes back the cup of tea towards Tina. "d.a.m.n it, why'd did I even buy that rat poison?" Tina whispered slowly under her breath. "Pardon?" Emilia's eyes stare directly at her. She was beginning to be suspicious of her. "Ah, nothing. I was just remembering about my poem." Tina smiled again. Her att.i.tude has highly suspicious, but Emilia ignores it. Why would her "kind", and "loving" aunt try to kill her? She asked herself. She soon let go of the suspicions.
6 hours later, the caravan stopped. Emilia looked out to see the other people going down from their carriages. "Why are we going down?" She asked her aunt. "Ah, we're going to have to rest. It's about to be midnight soon." Tina grabbed her bag. She signaled Emilia to go down first. Emilia picked up her bag and left the carriage. A man approaches the side of their carriage, Tina slowly moves toward him. "Kill her. I don't care how. I just want her money." She whispered at the man. The man nodded and disappeared. She looks back at Emilia, waving at her to come down. She smiled and went down the carriage.
The pa.s.sengers set up a campfire in an empty field. They were singing songs, and some were eating. Emilia sat beside Tina. "You know, you're the only relative I like..." Emilia held her aunt's hand. "Yeah... that's good..." Tina replied while nervously laughing. "Anyways, let's go to sleep now. I'll see you the next morning." She stood up, and went into their tent. Emilia just looked at her. She looked back at the campfire, to see the others also went to sleep now. She decides to stay by the fire to stay warm.
She begins to slowly fall asleep, but she slaps herself to stay awake. She couldn't hear anything because she was too focused on the fire. There were some footsteps coming from behind her, but she couldn't hear it. A man slowly approached her, carrying a knife. He was wearing full black. As he was about to stab Emilia with the knife, she suddenly looked back. The man was frozen, he couldn't move. Emilia was staring at him confusingly. A few seconds later, it came to her that he was trying to kill her. Without any hesitation, she pulls out her Deagle from one of her pockets and shoots the man in the face. The bullet gets stuck in the man's brain, ultimately killing him. He falls to the ground, and blood comes flowing out from his head. The gunshot woke some of the pa.s.sengers up. Emilia ran quickly into her tent and hid. Her sanity begins to crumble again. She is laughing hysterically in the tent, but she covers her mouth as to not attract any attention. She could feel her Other behind her, slowly growing bigger. "I AM YOUR NIGHTMARE." The words echoed in her head. The blood dripping from her Other slowly created a puddle surrounding Emilia. She kept on laughing, and laughing, as her Other grew bigger and bigger. She slowly points the gun to her head, but she tries to put it down. Her Other slowly helps her point the gun. "Come on, pull the trigger. DO it." Her Other held her hand firmly on the gun. "DO IT." It yelled. Emilia laughed even harder. Emilia then pulls the trigger, killing her.
Emilia wakes up from her sleep, hearing someone scream. She opened the tent to see a few pa.s.sengers investigating the dead body. "Who could've done this?" A pa.s.senger asked another. Emilia quickly closed her tent, and crawled in the corner. "What have I done?" She cuddled herself while crying.
In Tina's tent, she slowly goes out and hides behind one of the carriages. She pulls out her phone, and calls someone. "Maria, are you there?" She covered the phone. "Yes, Tina. It is me. Do you know what time it is?" Maria doesn't seem to be happy with Tina calling her this late. "Sorry, It's about your daughter. She killed one of your men." Tina nervously put her phone away from her ears. "How in the h.e.l.l was she able to kill him? That's the best one I've got!" Maria shouted angrily. "Don't worry sis, I'll deal with her myself." Tina ended the call and put her phone back in her pocket.
The next morning, everyone wakes up. Emilia's tent is wet due to her tears. The body is being swarmed by flies. Emilia gets out, carrying her bag with her. Tina is still in her tent, loading her .44 Magnum. "This will kill her for sure." She whispered. Emilia opens the door to her tent. "Aunt Tina, are you there?". Tina quickly hid her gun beneath her pillow. "Yeah! Yeah, I am. Just wait for me outside." She began to sweat. Emilia looked at her. "Are you feeling hot? Drink some water." She smiled, and closed the door. Tina let out a sigh of relief. "That was close.".
Everyone has cleared the field. They only left the body there. The caravan then starts moving again.
In their carriage, Emilia focused again on the field, admiring the beautiful scenery. Her aunt tapped her in the shoulder. Emilia looks at her.
Tina is pointing the .44 Magnum at her. "I'm sorry Emily. I've been told by your mother to do this." Her face was blank. Emilia puts her hands up. "Are you f.u.c.king insane?" Her suspicions were right. Tina wanted to kill her because of her wealth. She got no reply. Emily slowly started reaching out to her bag. "Move, and I will feed you lead." She c.o.c.ks the gun. Emily then quickly ducked and pulled out her Deagle, at the same time Tina fires. The bullet misses and pa.s.ses into the carriage in front of them, killing one of the five people in it. Screams began to erupt in the other carriage. The pa.s.sengers began screaming for help.
Tina and Emilia were in a standoff. Pointing their guns at each other. "Put your gun down, aunt Tina. Please. I don't want to do this." She began to cry. "I'm sorry, kid." Tina still had a blank expression. Both of them were nervous, and shaking. Luckily, Emilia shot first. She then ducked as soon as Tina shot. Tina was not so fortunate. The bullet lands in her heart. She falls to the ground and blood soon started coming out. She also drops her gun. Emilia picks it up and throws it out the window. Tina looked up at Emilia. "You.. b.i.t.c.h! How dare you shoot your own relative!" She coughed up blood. "f.u.c.king hypocrite." Emilia then shot Tina in the head, finally killing her. She opens the window and pushes her body out of the carriage, letting it roll down the gravel path.
A few hours later, they finally arrived at the town where her family lives. Everyone goes down out of their carriages. The person who was shot earlier was sent to the hospital. Emilia gets out with her bag in her back. She looks around and finds out she has to ride a horse to the mansion. She rents one and leaves for the mansion.
15 minutes later, she arrives a few feet from the mansion. She jumps down from the horse and approaches the gates. It is heavily defended, with barbed wires on top of its walls. She looks up at the window with pure anger in her eyes.
Her father looks out the window, with the same anger in his eyes. He looks back at his guards. "She's here."
